[Q] audio in CM10 v.0.9.2 - Thinkpad Tablet General

Hi, I recently installed CM10 v.0.9.2 on my Lenovo Thinkpad Tablet. Everything seems to work well, however the audio seems very high-pitched (not enough bass) and the maximum volume was not as high as I would like it to be. Two questions:
1. How does this mod handle audio (what audio drivers are used, ALSA, or other)?
2. Is ALSA installed? I noticed there was a directory /system/usr/share/alsa containing a configuration file, alsa.conf. If not, what is the best way to install it?
Thanks!

I have also noticed that the audio volume attenuates significantly when 'maximum' is reached using the volume button. However, if I back it off or make adjustments via the software settings, then it appears to improve (although not quite as well as I hope).
I would also appreciate some info and fix...

Audio drivers appear to be nvmm, Nvidia proprietary drivers.

Realtek Audio Drivers

Hey guys I downloaded the realtek audio drivers from crashctrl for my surface pro and they seemed to work wonders on fixing my microphone background noise, however, it disables the touch cover's key press sound. They say on their website that it will probably require some .dll files to be modified or something major to fix it but I have no idea where to start. Wonder if any of you guys have any idea on a fix or if someone could look into it. These drivers are great for fixing audio issues but this one bug that disables the keypress sounds on my touch cover sucks. Thanks!

[Q] Best ROM for Audio/Video/Mic Quality

Folks,
I am experiencing low mic volume output after installing cm-10.1-20130411-EXPERIMENTAL-p5110-M3 on a Samsung Galaxy Tab p5113. The application we are testing is video and in this case the mic volume is really low. This is a tablet to tablet skype like video session. Here the other end perceived very low Audio coming from the Tab with the CM-10.1-20130411-EXPERIMENTAL-p5110-M3. Stock ROM mic levels were fine. I read through a bunch of the forum and saw some folks noting this issue with other older CM builds.
I was able to install the Alpha Widget app and it has a mic gain control function. Does anyone know what this gain control actually manipulates within the Android OS/Kernel? It would be great to manually manipulate this mic gain at OS / CLI level.
Is there any file/value that I can modify at the OS level to manipulate the Volume output of the Mic?
Any other ROM's that you might recommend that handle mic volume/Audio/Video better than the ROM mentioned above?
Thanks in advance.

[Q] USB audio using internal speaker eq. How to disable?

Hey,
Got a 2012 n7 running in my car with USB rom. All works great, except it seems like it's cutting all bass beneath 200hz on the USB dac.
This doesn't seem to be an issue with headphone output (which I'd rather not use due to quality / mounting considerations)
The only conclusion I can come to is that it's using the same fixed Eq baked in as the internal speaker, which I presume drops out the bass to avoid destroying itself.
Is anyone aware of a way to disable this in any of the audio configuration files in /system/etc? Or am I Barking up the wrong tree..... I've had a poke around but can't find anything obvious.
If I use any type of eq, every band makes a difference except for the lower ones, which leads me to believe it must be baked in somewhere.
Cheers for any help!

bluetooth headset volume control

I updated to the newest build, however, my bluetooth volume is still linked to the system volume and causes all sorts of issues. I'm using beats powerbeats 2 wireless. It ends up killing the sound quality when I run music through viperaudio. Fortunately, I found a slight work around by reducing the output gain to -.8 It's good, but not what it's supposed to do. Does anyone have a fix or am I missing something. I'm also running the newest test build on DU. Thanks in advance for any help.
When connected to BT it will use the system volume. That is the way it is meant to work as it over rides the default.

Horizontal UI and extended Volume Control

Hello guys. I hope you can help me out on that one.
I recently added various ROMs, MODs and APKs to my rooted Galaxy S8(950F) and everything worked fine more or likely. So I once tried to flash my Camera and guess what, I fu**ed the whole thingy up leaving me without a camera and flashlight. No problemo though; Hard-reset is on the way, I thought.
There was a patch which enabled my phone to directly control Volume on my Bluetooth Speaker. (Apple Iphones can control them by default.) It's a feature I've searched for so long, working just perfect before my hard reset. Alongside to this mod my UI switched to a costum horizontal state if provoked. Looked kinda sexy.
So I hard-reset my galaxy, root, costom ROM, fixed the camera and successfully patched it. Yet I can't direct control Volume anymore and there's no sign of a horizontal Userinterface. I spend like a week searching for MODs to patch; without success! I am searching in xda Forums for a while now without progress.
I did use PowerAmp alongside its settings to enable direct Volume Control. Using "OpenSL ES" for audio output. In Settings > Developeroptions > I did set up AVRCP 1.4, aptX, 44,1 kHZ, 16 BpS, Stereo, optimized for audio quality. It did work before my hard reset.
Any Ideas? Any help greatly appreciated!!
