Ok the title says extra update for 9505, the build number shows update for 9500, so if you own a 9500 this is the last firmware (MG1)

the only difference is in the region code of India. In firmware there is no difference.
Only matters if you are using OTA official updates

Samsung NEVER releases a changelog, you can just check the changelist and the revision code number in the version

Nope, check last INU/INS, the changelist is the same "1329016"
changelogs are diferent between verions not between INU/INS

It's changeLIST not changelog. Like I said before, Samsung NEVER releases changelogs.
The Changelist is like a serial number for firmware and IS specific to each country/region's firmware. And only changes when there is a software update like 4.1.2 to 4.2.2 or considerable firmware update in 4.2.2 itself.
For example : -
INU - I9082XXAMF7 - 4.1.2 - Changelist - 1262039
INU - I9082XXUBMHD - 4.2.2 - Changelist - 1329016
This shows a considerable change in the software, which can be expected going from 4.1.2 to 4.2.2
INU - I9082XXUBMI1 - 4.2.2 - Changelist - 1329016
INU - I9082XXUBMJ3 - 4.2.2 - Changelist - 1329016
This shows that there have been no BIG changes in the software itself. Just modifications and bug fixes for better improvement in the firmware
When an update is released in the same changelist as before, it means there have been fixes/improvements in the software or binaries but not upgrades or considerable changes. The last number or letter 1,2,3..7,A,B..F shows the revision number, which means that the last firmware has been simply revised to be better.
thanks for share =)

I had the same question and need to know what's new in this May update N5100XXDNE2. Thanks
Checked sammobile and its there. Whats new in this update and has anyone updated??
New firmware
Seeing that nobody seems to answer, I'll ask another question. I've downloaded the new firmware twice from sammobile and both were corrupted.
I see there's a newer firmware from United Arab Emirates, can i flash that version over my current polish one without any issues from knox?
You can download it from samsung-updates.com
I am using Poland DNE2. I didn't try the April version, but current DNE2 is OK so far. Except for occasional freezes while switching wifi status, everything runs smoothly.

Just updated mine from DND8 to DNE2 using Odin. To my surprise, it doesn't clear my data.
All apps and settings still intact.

What about the Nordic Countries? Can this be flashed on those devices?
S-Pen Offset
Can anybody confirm if the S-pen offset issue has been fixed?

Hi,
I installed N5100XXDNE2 version on Friday. I didn't found any updates in software or differences between DND8 and DNE2.
For me this version fixed stability issues. In DND8 I had problem with crashing the applications (e.g. S-Note) and also sometimes rebooting. DNE2 I found out more stable but this is only few days experience.
S-pen offset issue has not been fixed It is funny because if I am using S-Note to write text then cursor is on right place and there is no any offset. But when I am writing something in gmail than there is so big offset between cursor and S-Pen.
If you have any other question regarding DNE2 version I can check it.
How is performance and battery life? How about the SD card issues? I'm still on 4.1.2 never got any updates on my CSC(XFA) so I'm going to flash one from a different country but would just like some more feedback.

By flashing official firmware from http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/3/?download=31893 you are able to do it officially. Odin is official but it's the backdoor of the official-ness, usually used when trying to recover your device.
Authorized service center also flash threw odin, but they knows what they are doing, if someone doesn't know & flash wrong way or wrong firmware.......
