If I'm currently using an AT&T Iphone 5, can I just take the sim out, put it in a micro sim adapter, and put it in a AT&T galaxy s4? Do I need to call AT&T or anything, or should it just automatically work?

No the iphone 5 is a nano sim so not possible
It is possible, because it's what I do. I keep my iPhone 5 as backup and use my Active primarily. I did it with my HTC One as well. I use these adapters, and have never had an issue. Very good quality- http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009APKE2U/
My data worked fine on my HTC One while still on the iPhone LTE plan. I did switch it to an Android plan just because I'm on Android now but I didn't need to to get data to work.
Yea or just line up the contacts by hand.

By hand then tape it in place I did the same with my micro sim from my s3 and put it in my s2 while I waited for my s4 to arrive u just line it and and keep powering the phone on to check it shows up as sim inserted then once it does tape it down and reassable the phone

Does voicemail work correctly? On AT&T I kinda remember something funny how iPhone data plans were different than Data plans for other phones because of the visual voicemail feature.

Sim Cutters & adapters are so cheap just get the kit...
also for the cheapSkate ( i'm not hating)
you can go on line and get a template for free... but the adapter is the best!

I used this method about a year ago for my wifes plan. However, AT&T had locked the process up a bit. After I connected the 1st gen iphone to itunes and activated it, selecting the unlimited plan, the phone would not finish activating. I called and no one knew what was up. Then I got a call from AT&T asking about the old iphone and what was going on. I told them that my wife had broke the screen on her 3GS and while it was getting repaired she was going to use the old iphone. I played dumb about the whole itunes/apple crap and was able to get it activated. We've still got the unlimited service today but they've been on to the "exploit" for a while. Don't know if it still works today, biggest problem is finding an original iphone. Hope this helps!
I can get one, I just don't want to buy one if the unlimited data trick won't work lol. I appreciate the input

hi,
i'm a Tier 2 Connectech Support of AT&T Mobility Services,
but i do not represent such on xda,
based on latest plan rates of AT&T we no longer hold new accounts for the 1st gen iphones based on unlimited data,
we still have the dumb phone unlimited plan,
however it is still subject to activation and verification,
please contact our customer service for more info,
thanks,

Not 100% percent sure but I think he is playing.....
1. It DOESNT MATTER WHAT PHONE YOU PUT ON after having unlimited data! just as long as you dont change your data plan.
2. He`s saying for $20 dollars.... Once you put another phone on besides the iPhone 2g it will go to $30 dollars within a few hours. SO I think he`s a joker.

Once you activate a new SIM, your old one gets de-activated automatically. Which means that your old SIM is a peace of trash now as it wont be able to activate again.

The phone has a micro-sim and if you cant get hold of a micro then the only decision is to cut it yourself. The sim still works equally well!

I'm on T-Mobile UK and when I asked they said it would cost me £10. I tried to cut my own, but the chip is huge! What I did was ring them up and they were able to credit me the money to my next bill. Give that a try...I'm not saying it will work, but its worth a try.

I am planning to buy a 10" tab which supports a sim to mainly use internet in area without wi-fi. Could anyone please advise me some very good tabs?

Just activate the SIM with the Nexus 4 and when you have to pick a plan, just choose the 30 dollar one on the website. No voodoo or black magic needed, T-Mobile doesn't care if you use this plan with your Nexus.
