we are still working on the car kit tooling. Chinese new year holiday and recent snow storm further slow down the development. No firm ETA yet. It may be another month, not sure for now.

Got mine today. Poor packaging, xoom box was not sealed and xoom was slidding around freely in box. Everything appears to be fine. I love this thing, only complaints are the speaker placement and the screen contrast. Othewise, I can't set this thing down!

I am also still waiting... I am tempted to go buy one locally to make sure I like it. If I dont I would return the one I bought and sell the one I got from Motorola for some money. But after reading some reviews I think it will be okay.
Asus just posted on their U.S. facebook that they are currently working on getting an OTA update to 3.1!
I am really excited to be able to hook up my 360 controller. Emulations gonna be amazing.

HC 3.1 will enable USB host for the first time and will allow for controllers to be plugged in to the devices. At the Google IO conference they had a 360 controller running their presentation on a Xoom.

In 3.1 it is promised to support variety of USB devices, including even Xbox360 wired controller (demonstrated during Google IO 2011).

I've always had great experience with Asus on the pc hardware side of things. I'm glad to see they're keeping up their standards with Android.
Just a wild question, but would HC 3.1 support USB Speakers too ?

I would assume he was talking about not having to do a prolonged, staged rollout once the update is ready. Not development time.

prolonged staged rollout is pretty much because of SKU's, not cause of amount of tablets.

Hmmm hopefully we can use this as a benchmark on how long it will take for us to get updates. Obviously the Xoom got it first because that is the device google builds on but with the lack on skin on the Transformer this really will tell us how they will be.

I thought that Asus did some light skinning, a few buttons and added a few apps.
It looks like Samsung did a whole lot more work.

I'm a frequenter on the dungeon defender IRC and one of the Devs pointed out that the update for SGS II support should be on the market. So those gamers who want to play DD should check out the Market.! And let me know if it works so I can tell them. I don't have an SGS II, so I thought I'd relay the info to people who have it.
I'm at the download screen so I'll have to wait to let you know how it runs, but DD:SW still doesn't show in the market and say its incompatible from the Web Market.

Second Wave is an Xperia Play exclusive.. so the rest of us can't play it yet. Hopefully within the next two months we will have it though =D. They're pretty caught up with trying to release the PC/PS3/360 version.

It should be. We were talking about SW, not FW if that's what you wondering.
I first played DD on my Samsung Vibrant when it first came out, so I had one of the better experiences with the game as far as graphics/smoothness is concerned. With that said, the first level looks bigger than what I remember and the graphics look noticeable better as well.
You'll have to wait for me to get later into the game to let your know if it runs better with more (hundreds) of enemies on screen, but the game itself is running smoothly right now.

Cool. But the PS3, PC and Mobile versions will have crossplay. 360 is left by itself due to MS policies.
Don't care about 360 (PS3 user) so it all works out for me.

Well unfortunately, 360 is what's taking the game so long to launch. It's in microsoft's certificaton process and that process takes 6-8 weeks. This week marks the 8th week. So hopefully we'll get some more info then. Btw, you got a username reminiscent of a duo of Trendy's interns known as the "Killer Beez" lol.
i just installed it back on my phone. It doesn't seem to want to initiate the wifi download to start the gameplay

Why don't they just release what they can (PC, PS3) and delay the 360 version? You must spend a lot of time in Trendy's IRC to know their interns nickname.

Word is they signed an agreement with Microsoft so that they can't release on any new platforms till the 360 version is out.

Not exactly.. I understand that they lose valuable marketing from Microsoft if they don't rrelease at the same time. Also, PS3 and 360 HAVE to be released at the same time or microsoft ain't going to release it on the arcade.

Uninstall and reinstall... that should fix it.

But I hope they do, the hardware is still very good... but yeah, they should have kept the mojo up to date from the start

My thoughts exactly. I am not going to hold my breath :silly:
I also got a reply that they are working on it but don't have a fixed release date set.
I would suggest everyone post tickets about it so the management can see we really want it.

There will be no further updates for the Mojo. I spoke with them today, senior guy, all development has stopped and nothing more will be released.

Ah, that would be unfortunate. On october 29th support still replied with: "Please be advised that we will update the MOJO in the future but at the moment we do not have a release date for the next operating system update.". It's too bad really, there would still be some life left in the device would they update the OS.
