Is there a way to get pay-games for free?

Before you start complaining that i'm a cheap douche let me just say that i don't live in the States, so i can't download pay-games without rooting my phone, and i don't feel like doing it.
So i'm just wondering if there's any way to download and install games without having to buy them?

i agree. i will admit that the only apps i have obtained are for trial use. some apps dont have a lite or free version but if it works as expected always buy to show support and get support. i know the guy that makes xfmobile and a at the start of this year was thinking of completing its first year then stopping the dev for lack of support and funds.
but to answer your question yes its possible to get paid apps for free on stock phones unless its a pay to play game.

Instead of getting them for free, how about mailing the author of the one you want and asking if he would sell you a copy direct rather than through the market. Everybody wins.

How is it possible ?
Google does not check your apk signature when you upload a software.
Even if you signed yous apk with you key, somebody else can put this on his google account.
The signature can be deleted easily if needed.
He can change the title of your app, so nobody see it, but he can't change the apk name nor the icon.
Why do we post our apk here ?
To have testers, to correct bugs, to have a perfect look and feel before put it on the market.
Because on the market people are rude, we have only one chance, so we need to avoid bugs.
And when we put our app online, we want to choose if it's paid or free (with ads or not).
What is the problem ?
If DavinciDevelopers steal and upload your app, he will lock your pak name.
2 apps can't have the same name on the market.
You may have a name like com.myname.myapp.apk
Where "myname" is the same in every app you do.
If he take that, this is a major issue for you because you will be associated to him on every search (google.com, market...).
So, you will have to change your app name and maybe your company name....
Within 1 or 2 days, the market is parsed from androlib, androidzoom, appbrain... and it's done. Google.com will see those websites, and you are trapped.
You will have your buggy app on the market, some people will pay for that, the thief will have some money, and every users will have a bad opinion of your app.
Why DavinciDevelopers does this ?
To make benefit from your work.
Because he doesn't care you are working from a long time on your app.
Because he doesn't care if your work is ruined, he will find somebody else.
How can we be protected ?
Because 2 apps can't have the same name, you should put your app on the market first.
If your app is in development stage, you can upload it as "draft", so it will not be visible on the market, but the name will be locked.
Who is DavinciDevelopers ?
Somebody that have 83 apps on the market !
Almost all of them are themes.
If you look the package name you can see for example :

So he is not a developer. He makes themes with a free online tool and sell them... nice.
And for the real apps he uploaded (about 5), they all are stolen, coming from poland, germany, and other places.
Almost every of them comes from XDA dev forums.

Is it worth marking all these apps as objectionable to draw Google's attention to this issue?

One thing I don't understand :
Google should give to every developer a private key that we could use to compile the apk.
Something we should not be able to remove.
So the developer who generates the apk could be sure it would be uploadable only into his account.
It sounds simple but...

It's not possible to add something, that is impossible to remove. Cryptography makes possible to check that something was created by someone, but not that it wasn't.

Dang that sucks that people are ripping dev's off. I have high respect for Dev's. Not being one, I don't know all the ins and outs of developing apps but I'm sure it's a very deeply involved process that nobody should rip off. Jeez. I hope these idiots are banned from the market. Is there a formal process that someone can start to get these apps credited to their rightful owners?

This is absolute putrid behavior. This is one of the downsides to having an open-source OS and Google being so hands-off. There better be some justice in this matter......

if more of us from xda will post comments how douche this guy is, then maybe we could prevent others from patronizing his posted apps.. being a frustrated programmer also, I know how hard it is to code.. and I am very grateful to devs who gives us free apps over here at xda..

[Q] Banned For Life from Android Market/ Developer

Google recently shut down my developer account and google market account with no explanation. And as you all know their support sucks. Does anyone know how to get back on the market to sell apps? Thanks. I had some Themes for pandahome etc but now I have some apps I made with AI I want to get on the market.

I tried that 4 times and somehow they keep finding me. I used walmart gift cards with fake names! I don't know if they are tracking my ISP or what, but they go up for about an hour, take my $25 developer fee, and then get closed down.
Any surefire ways to set up a stealth developer account?

You're were making themes for an app; did you ask the developer if you can put them on the market. He could report you because you didn't have his approval.

It looks like most of your themes were copyright infringing, maybe someone who owns the copyright had complained about you.

I remember getting my first ticket. Some guy was ahead of me and was slowing down to stop for a light that was turning red, I decided to drive right around him to pass.
I got pulled over.
When I asked the cop what I did wrong, he gave me a nasty look and just said "license and registration".
Sorry, I know this story doesn't have anything to do with the topic of this thread, but when I read that Google banned the account without giving any explanation...It made me think of that.

I seriously doubt that they would ban you for no reason whatsoever, as the previous posts say your themes where probably copyright infringing and the copyright owner complained about you. So there is your reason!

If you were making themes for another developers app and making money out of it, i can completely see why you should be stopped... Banned seems a little OTT though? I also think Google should have an obligation to explain the ban, you should have been given a chance to appeal or something! Unless of course you're missing a few bits out??
Try teaming up with another developer or themer? If its any consolation, i dont think many people use panda home anymore...infact i dont know of anyone!!

Are you re-uploading the same App? Using same email? Thats why they find you probably. Get someone with a real CC to open an account for you.

Not many genuine people need fake ID and credit cards so its probably for our protection....doesn't look too good considering the apps he/she sold were to profit from another devs work in the first place!

I had a nice app game that I downloaded last December.
After I upgraded to Froyo, I wanted to re-download the game.
It is no longer available because a huge corporate game marketer threatened legal action becuase it had similarities to one of the games they market.
It's corporate litigation bullying!
The independent developer cowered and pulled his app.
I'd love to see a thread with links to apk files(apps) that we can access and install with a sideloader.
Does anyone have such a resource?

You can also use vpn.tenacy.com/public which provide free L2TP proxies located on the US. You also need to clear market data everytime you change this.

I am sorry but its 2 difficult to understand what you are on next month sun shines always about is wanting to install app store to what device only to hack apps or games and wanting to make device cool I just bought and come here XDA the best in all hacks games I like to play root does all things I did my application I read rules and rules concerning warez and warez hacks and free visits to the Frostlands courtesy of yours truly Sim card works ok Wifi is free games hacked all the time and never pay for them profit tons of downloads as goats cross the mountain looking for FIFA scorecards and profanity violations rules will also send to Frostlands as its best to read the rules before you post things or account will be sent to la la land and the electronic void forever and ever
Ok, we see how silly this is? XDA rules require all posts to be made in English. Now, you can use your native tongue, however, the post must include a "Translated" version as well.
Attempts to bypass the "Profanity" filter are also not acceptable according to the rules, even the intent to use profanity qualifies as a violation.
Also, "Hacked" Games are considered "warez" and that is strictly against XDA rules (not to mention it's illegal)
Please make posts in readable english, with no warez discussion or use of profanity.
