Hi all,
I bought an i-Go USA power plug which goes into the wall outlet.
I just need to buy the pin connector for it. But I don't know which type I should get.
If anyone knows the type, please post it. Then that way I can go into a electronics shop (here in Europe) and show them the details.
I have something similar as shown in the below image which I used for the Motorola DEFY phone.

But now I need a similar pin connector for the S4 GT-i9505.
Please help.

This is probably a fairly simple problem for you guys.
The connector on the bottom of my XDA2 appears to have come dislodged.
It has been getting harder and harder to get it to charge recently but with a bit of pressure in one direction it appeared to charge OK.
That is until my GF plugged it in to charge and now its totaly dislodged.
I think the socket has broken free from its soldered terminals into the PCB inside the XDA2.
Is there a quick fix anyone can suggest (I am a qualified Electronic Engineer and can solder) or is there a repair centre (hopefully near Newcastle upon tyne (North East UK).
PLEASE someone HELP!!!!
Tom
i have the same problem, but i got the pin chart from here, and wired a charge hole on the outside. now i can only sync via IR. lot slower that usb. for some reason, the solder wont hold the same plug the way the manufacter did.
good luck.

Pin Diagram for XDA 2 Connector
Where on here can I get pin connector.
Also where can I get tool to unscrew back off XDA2 so I can try and repair myself
Tom
1) use the search function. it's on wiki.xda-developers.com
2) you seem pretty unsure of yourself for a EE qualified engineer. Why, where does one obtain a torx screwdriver? A T6 will do.
We get this alot at work and use these guys. email them on

And no i have nothing to do with them
Possible solution
Hello,
I have the same problem and have managed the following solution to be able to charge the device with "a connector", its working perfect for me:
Note: You will lost some headset-functionality, I have tested that no internal components are affected, because the PIN used for power supply is cutted from the mainboard.
Disasemble the Device completely to have the main circuit board in the hand free from other coponents to be able to solder properly.
Buy a 4-contacts mini-jack connector (2.5mm)
Cut the Power Supply cable Power-Jack to replace it with the Mini-Jack (Image2 and Image4 )
Solder a cable to the 3 last ping of the base connector (Image1)
Cut (with Dremel for example...) one of the connectors of the Jack soldered on the mainboard (Image 3 and Image5)
Solder the cable that comes from the Base connector to the onboard Jack (Image 3 and 5) This is to get positive power from the Jack connector to the right place on the mainboard.
I hope this is enough, if you need more details please let me know.
Regards,
I have the same problem, though I am able to charge my qtek 2020 by putting it in one direction.
I am thinking about soldering a femal mini-usb port using pins 13,20,21,22 for positive power, 16,17,18 for ground, and 14,15 for UDC+ and UDC-. Has anyone managed to do this ?
Aw crap. Same thing's just happened to my XDA. The connector at the base has snapped. It's still connected (barely) but charging and data transfer won't work.
Is there any way to replace the connector with a mini-usb port at all or an alternative method that doesn't require me to send my phone out for 3 days?

thx for the link , yah i saw this one and the pic show round tip so i am confused. i will PM the seller, btw id rather have the cable itself without charger. cheers
If you just need one of the USB plugs to power something, you can splice another (power only) miniUSB into a normal lead. Just connect the Red to Red and the Black to Black, tape it up (or use heat shrink).
To double head a cable would require a hub to be built in, which would require a chip to do the data separation and sequencing.
Hi
I've looked through the threads and can't find any posts with this problem.
My phone has stopped charging through the cradle or car charger. It syncs and charges through the usb and my wired sat nav connects up but neither method charges my phone. Obviously the battery will die down quick when I use my tom tom so I need that to work and only being able to charge via usb is a pain and inconvienient.
What can I do to fix it??
sounds like the chargers power supplie has blown buy a new one.
well no, cause it doesn't charge with the car charger either. so its a problem with the xda. Or did you mean buy a new XDA?
maybe the connector is broken and the pins which do the charge from other sources then the usb connectors is disconnected
you can 1 make a cable which have an usb connector in the end and AC or Car power in the other
you can change or pay somebody to change the connector in the xda
or you can buy a new pda
thanks. Know anyone who does repairs?
sorry no
and even if i did this being a somewhat international forum
me saying "yeah the guy down my street have a mobil shop and he can do it" would not help much
Hi all, I bought my wife a Telstra T Tab for Christmas which she loves, however, because the battery life is pretty ****ty, it would be good to be able to charge from the usb. I know that this isn't possible from stock BUT, there is a second hand T Tab on ebay and the seller claims that they have unlocked it to use the usb for charging.
Is this correct, if so, how?
Thanks
P
ideos already charge by usb cable, maybe there is a problem on that specific phone
The Telstra T-Touch Tab does not charge from the microusb cable - I dont know about the huawei branded version, but the Telstra version with 2 camera's and no internal 8gb sd, does NOT charge from USB.
It only charges from the power port, what I did was cut the original power cord and splice it into the usb cable, this allows me to charge off the USB, I could upload a wiring diagram for you, all you really need is some electrical tape and a pair of pliers or a blade of some description, then just splice in red to red and black to black from each cable.
Alternately you could pickup extra cable parts and build one from scratch if you didn't want to break the original cables, either idea achieves the same goal.
Also, as a side note, I was selling a unit with the USB charging cable on eBay, I hadn't unlocked it, I had rooted it and provided an extra cable for USB charging. I decided against selling it however as mine was accidentally damaged (screen was crushed) and I'm waiting on a price to fix it. I may end up just trashing it considering the price of the unit :/
I can confirm that the IDEAOS S7 model 101 does not charge via usb, sadly..
I have built this patch cable to allow charging from any USB port by way of a standard micro USB cable.
It's not as elegant as I would like but I couldn't find a smaller component plug and socket.
Hi,
I recently purchased a usb cable for my android head unit and the lead doesn't work. I didn't buy the unit so I don't know the brand etc. The unit was in the car when I bought the car.
I'm guessing the wires that plug into the usb connection are in the wrong order. I have no way of finding out the correct order. Does anyone on the forum know the correct order or even show me a picture of their usb cable.
I've bought 2 cables so far, neither of them have worked and they cost close the £100. It's very frustrating that I can't get them to work
Thanks in advance
What does the seller suggest and what happened when you tried that.
Also, with no information and detailed screenshots, how did you want help
When I plug in the usb cable and try any basic usb connections like phone chargers usb sticks etc. Nothing happens at all.
I've attached a screenshot from a product guide I found online if that helps.
If anyone knew which pins were for data transfer or voltage, that could help me loads.
Thanks
Measuring is the magic word. 8 pins will be connected in the original cable. (VBUS)+5V 2 times and 2x GND
...then you only have to find out what is D- and what is D+ for the data lines.
If you don´t want to measure: Open the magic box and have a look at the pins from the connector inside.
Just with your picture no one can tell anything. Each supplier does it´s own magic.
By the way... Connecting that wrong, may damage the internal USB-Hub and you can buy a new mainboard... just to mention. Trying around is not a good idea.
