hi!
i have the galaxy s4 i9500 and i used it and i have noticed that all of my battery was used by andoid system:
-andoid system - 30% -20m cpu total
- display -27% - 3h 30m 44s
and the rest does not matter
my point is that why the andoid system is so high than the dasplay? even that i used it for 3h 30m ???
thanks for helping!
Install BetterBatteryStats, fully discharge your phone, fully charge then fully discharge again, then look for kernel wakelocks

Hello,
I have extended battery in my Atrix and I see it going from 100% to 50% in like 4 hours. Then I shutdown Atrix, boot it up and battery shows 88%. What can be causing it? Is it battery or OS?
G
Probably just compatibility issues. I do suggest running a battery calibration app or clearing battery stats in CWM.

Yes, you are right, just installed GB couple of days ago. So I don't need to do anything specific to make it work eventually right? I cleared Battery Stat in CWM.
I'm having a problem with my rom or kernel. The battery level stays at 100 for a long time, then all of a sudden drops to 50. Running on Mexdroidmod and demonspeed kernel v6. Any insight into this? thanks in advance
Have you tried battery calibration?

If after calibration, the battery is still acting abnormally- you should consider getting a new OEM bettery. It could have a lot of wear on it.
I have done the calibration. The battery holds a charge fine. The problem seems to be using the newer demonspeed kernel in mexdroidmod.
Now keep in mind to get accurate battery reading you need to recalibrate it few time with full charge and discharge at least twice. Now you can manually do it by resetting the batterystats.bin after its fully charged and then t charging it.
Keep in mind for LiIo battery you never fully discharge so you have to understand the mV and mAh capacity of it so you can safely discharge it which can be 0% but 16mAh with 3400mV+ since all battery is not same due to company and cell capacity.
If you flash new Rom and use it for 1-2weeks then fully charge it and then wipe the stats and then calibrate it. I have the most advanced battery monitor scale in real life so you can't compare it but for normal folks if done right you won't get the 100% long hang.

Ok I lied, it's not one hour backup, it's 50 min battery backup. I charged my phone to 100% 4163mv and played about 2 songs, battery dropped to 47 and then suddenly 0%. It all happened in less than 50 min. Just when I was thinking, it can't be more worse. I charged and battery was 99% :O. Another time, phone shut down at 40%, when charged moved up to 70% and number started increasing every 3 seconds. I did calibrated it many times so that's out of question. I bought this phone in May so I will be surprised if battery is defective. I'm confused. Please help!!

Same thing happened with me....
On a side note : Does the back cover of your phone fit?
Cause when I had this problem my battery had literally expanded in size.... :X
Due to which the back cover did not fit perfectly.......
Yeah, it fits perfectly..

Download from market app called Battery Calibration.
Open it and connect your phone to the charger. When you have 100% status, and ~4200mV click Calibrate and unplug your charger.
Then set the LCD Brightness to max, set timeout to never sleep or just use your phone to fast discharge it(that doesn't need to be fast and doesn't need to be slow it just need drop to 0%).
Let it automatically die because of low power, and then charge it to 100%(you can use battery calibration app to see the voltage, around 4.2V it's max).
After that your phone should have a much better battery life.

He already said, he did calibrate the battery....
I 100% think you need a new battery Mate....
Try installing any stock rom before. Maybe that can help. I was getting ultra fast battery drains when I flashed indroid 5.0

Yes u need a change of batt. I had not even up to half an hour of wifi surfing. After changing i could use the phone for 30+hrs

Change the Battery.. I had the same problem.. then found out my battery got swollen big time..
With new kernels and Android 4.3, is the Defy finally correctly recognizing bigger batteries with their real mAh? I want to buy a 3500mAh one, but need to know if it works upfront
It is theoretically able to recognise higher capacities thanks to a patch by quarx. But often such batteries are not as advertised.

Is this patch integrated in his CM10 (or CM10.2)?
Is it? If not, where do I find it?
It is integrated in all his 2ndboot ROMs.

I have a 3700mAh battery now, but it doesnt charge above 89%. I am on CM10 18/9.
Do I have to reset my battery stats?

No, try calibrating it. If it still doesn't work, then i guess your battery is not as advertised.
The battery is on 1% for over 2,5hours now. With active display. wtf 3560mV according to battery monitor widget.
/edit: 5hours 15minutes. display brightness 100%, stability test for the last 1,5 hours. The 1percent is holding position.
i'm experiencing Android System excessive os battery drain on my GT-I9500 under Omega v14.1, it's eating up all my juice from two days ago, even my display isn't over 10%, Android System is taking 58% and sometimes more than that.
Please can somebody help with this serious problem ?
PS: my phone is new, and my battery isn't swollen ...
Install BetterBatteryStats which can be found here on xda, fully charge and then fully discharge your mobile using it as you normally would, then look at Kernel wakelocks to see if there are any processes draining your battery.
