Hey guys,
Can someone tell me where the default wallpaper directory/location is on the Galaxy tab 10.1?
Thank you,
They seem to be located in a directory that requires root access to enter. I haven't been able to find them.
They can be found in Launcher2.apk which is in /system/app.
what do you mean it's in Launcher2.apk? for some reason i had flikie and zedge, and the pictures were there, but then i deleted them. for some reason it's not clearning when i want to select the wallpaper.
update: when i clicked on launcher2.apk..nothing happens...
I posted this in another thread but heres a link to all of the wallpapers. http://www.filesonic.com/file/1311405814/drawable-xlarge-nodpi.zip
Hey guys,
I am trying to get my photos from my s3 onto my Nexus 4, while keeping the modify time correct, so the Gallery displays them in the correct order. All methods I've tried so far result in the modify time being set to the create time.
I pulled them from the s3 with adb, corrected the MTIME using jhead (linux), and tar'd them up with the MTIME preserved.
I've yet to find a way I can extract this tar onto the phone without it losing the MTIME. I've tried many different apps that can deal with archives, none have the option to keep it. Trying to extract the tar on the command line results in an archive magic error, or similar (not at my phone now).
With the s3 this was easy due to the external SD card, but I can't for the life of me find a way to do this here. I tried QuickPic's fix dates feature but it doesn't correct the dates
Anyone have any ideas?
Just wondering if anyone knew where the bootanimation and downanimation files are so I can change them. I'm on the 3 network in the Uk and they put their own on, but they're crap so I want the standard Samsung ones. I used to have them on XXUAMDN which seems to have been unbranded, but now I've put XXUAME2 on it instead and it appears to be branded again. Any idea how to change them without finding an unbranded version?
They're in System/Media. They're .qmg files
Sent from my GT-I9505 using XDA Premium HD app
So does that mean I can literally just replace my .qmg files with ones from the unbranded rom?
Just copied them out of my old rom and it worked for the bootanimation, but the shutdown one is still the 3 one instead of the Samsung one, even though I copied shutdown.qmg?
So does anyone know which other file the shutdown animation is?

Found it, it's in system/media/video/shutdown. So I just replaced the shutdown.qmg in that folder with the other one and it's done.
Dumb question, but I'm assuming you have root access to do this? Are there sites that share boot up logos? I like the new Verizon boot logo for the s3 (it doesn't actually say s3 on it - just cool colors cycling around.)
Yeah, you need root access. Not sure if there's anywhere to download custom ones, though I'd assume there will be if you Google. There'll probably be a way of making your own too, the s4 isn't the only phone to use the .qmg format.
I downloaded an older spiraling galaxy to my phone and love it....but its no longer on the market. Im trying to find the apk to export it to my Nexus 7. both are rooted and custom roms and have root explorer. I cannot locate the apk for the live wallpaper anywhere on the phone yet it runs perfectly so I know its there somewhere. found folders that even say" live wallpaper.apk and live wallpaper picker.apk but no galaxy.apk. done searches and much reading to no avail. any help would be appreciated. -Jim
If you downloaded it from the market, it's not in /system/app but /data/app, you don't need root for that.
apk file should be there.
Hi Everyone,
I already copied all my ringtones off my Note 3 into a folder on my laptop. After I tested a ROM I didn't like I went back to stock and copied all the ringtones back to my Ringtones folder on my Note 3, they all worked fine. I then liked the look of Resurrection Remix ROM and put that on. Did a full wipe and everything has been ok except I can't copy my ringtones back to the Note. This is where it gets weird for me. They are showing up on the Note under File Expert but if I plug the Note into my laptop they are not showing up in the Ringtones folder, it's empty except for the 2 Hangouts files. If I try and copy them back to the Note an error pops up saying cannot copy and that's it. Anyone offer any advice?
TIA
AFAIK, ringtones folder are system folder files.
Any files belongs to system nd root, won't be shown up on pc or laptop. No need to say about copying files into it.
U need to do it on ur note with root explorer or something similar.

I am rooted m8, I've been copying files too and from my Note 3 without any issues for months, my galaxy nexus which I had for 2 years allowed me to do the same, so why has it suddenly stopped? The only thing I can narrow it down to is the custom rom, looks like I'll be going back to stock just to check that's the case. Thanks for the reply
