When I connect to a wifi hotspot how can I disconnect without switching wifi off?

That's actually a good question but I'm not sure myself...why would you want to do that anyway? If you want to switch networks, you can by going to the network options.

i want stop the gprs connection to connect to the internet and start connecting at my wi-fi router...my router is d-linkdsl-2640b...thank you..!

You'll need to turn both the WiFi on the device, and on your router on.
Then, the device should auto detect your router, and will pop up a message. From there, depending on the router, and your set up you may need to allow pairing on the router. Next, you'll need to enter the WEP/WPA/whatever key (if you have one) on the device, it'll then connect by itself and you should be good to go!

[Q] help with wifi

Hello,
I have a question,
I would like to use internet on my nand android hd2 via adhoc, unfortunately my nand android hd2 won't detect the adhoc on my laptop..
is there's something wrong? cause my ipod did detect and able to connect to the adhoc
pls help

At this time, Android does not support ad-hoc wifi networking.

Which tests did you make to test? Changed the wifi router, tried with another Hotspot?

If yes do you know how to enable it

You mean share the phone Wifi via USB or LTE via Wifi?

Like make the phone as a WiFi repeater, back with Pocophone I could use the phone's WiFi share it via hotspot, now if I'm on 9t if I turn on hotstpot it disables WiFi and start using LTE, is there any way to turn on hotspot but still using WiFi and share that WiFi using hotspot
I don't know if I'm explaining myself ???

Well how i do at least is use via USB cable, i think that get Wifi and send wifi isn't possible
Only on custom roms

it works. i can "bridge" my wifi connection over hotspot. aosip, old device tree. new version not working.

Damn I'll look into that device tree and see if I can port it to new one, thanks for the input man
