Unroot without Odin? - Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Is there any way that can unroot my: SGS4 USA T-mobile 9505 (M919) ??
I'm sending it back to T-mobile because it wont charge, which means the PC & Mac don't detect it either.
Seems like the part where you plug the charger stopped working.
Anyways, is there any way to unroot it? I rooted it with CF-Autoroot.

Anyone?
Sorry for the VERY fast bump.. but I gotta send it back..
::EDIT::
Factory Reset did the job.
It now says M919

You can try downloading a modem for XXUEMJ5 and flashing it via Odin... http://d-h.st/oGp
Remember to completely power off your phone and go into download mode.
Careful of KNOX tripping to 0x01.

I have the same Problem after Flashing Stock Rom 4.3 with ODIN.
I noticed that wifi can not turn on after a direct reboot via the powermenu
But if I completely turn off my Galaxy for about 5 seconds and turn on again, wlan works normally again.
After my KNOX warranty is set to 1, I won't get an OTA fix for that

I have the same probleme after updating my S4 i9505 (I9505XXUDMH5) to 4.3 XXUEMJ5. My network becomes unstable and Wifi can not be enabled. I still have I9505XXUDMH5 as baseband version. but build number is JSS5J.I9505XXUEMJ5. Is that normal?
Waiting for the download be completed to install the XXUEMJ7. Can anyone confirm if this is a best solution? I would give another phone to downgrade to 4.2.2.
I am so sick. Please help

FINALLY - I SEE THE END OF THE TUNNEL.
I accept the fact that my phone is bricked. But inside of me, I cannot not stay without doing something very courageous.
So I decide to downgrade to 4.2.2. (Instead of flashing again with I9505XXUEMJ5) ,although all forum I read say that is not possible. I flash with I9505XXUDMH5 software, using odin 3.7.
What a relief! My galaxy S4 is Ok. Wifi, network .....
Knox Warranty void is 0x1........... don't matter. for someone almost gone insane.

FIX 4.2 root ota 4.3 wifi broke yellow sprint boot loop
out of the box straight into download mode and i rooted before first boot. su installed on sprint using auto root. phone updated all programs and voicemail app. then went straight to 4.3 ota update. after reboot i noticed wifi toggle would not work like everyone else. using this link i went back to 4.2 stock sprint qbking has page with all verisons but his links are very slow or unavailable so i did a search for the 4.2 sprint stock file name. odin the file under pda with only auto reboot checked. first reboot stuck at yellow sprint boot ani. remembered qb saying to stock recovery and wipe data factory reset on next reboot kinda long it passed the yellow screen i was back on 4.2 and wifi worked fine. since my reboot ive gone through all updates that lead to 4.3 to include the MF9 update. 4.3 no root wifi works fine going to attempt auto root for sprint if wifi works im going to use o2backup to make cwm recovery then i will proceed to attempt native hotspot mja.
SIDE NOTE: when i rooted the first time around and ota to 4.3 the stock recovery was still showing custom binaries but i had no root i think that messed up the wifi part which is why i waited to root this time around after 4.3 to root. If anyone else wants to try to root at 4.2 then uninstall root binaries before ota to see if the wifi stays in tact i would like to know. (give me a thx if this helps anyone first time around)

[Q] Rogers Samsung Galaxy S4 Cant Call Anyone And Wifi Not Turning On PLEASE HELP

Hey Everyone,
I am having major problems with my Samsung Galaxy S4 (SGH-1337M). So I have Installed a custom rom on my S4 and it worked fine but recently I unroot my phone and tried installing its original firm ware using odin. For some reason though my S4 on stock firm ware isnt able to make calls at all, another problem im having is that there is no sound whats so ever! and on top of it all my wifi wont turn on.
Ive tried everything known to man I have installed different roms which for some reasons fixes my wifi problem but not my sound or calling problem. Ive tried everything guys and during the process of rooting and installing different roms and restoring to stock Samsung firmware I have somehow tripped the Knox Warranty Void Counter which now voids my warranty which is such a disappointment because before I could just reset the binary counter but now I dont even know if there's a way to reset the knox counter. Anyways help would be greatly appreciated!

Contacts stopped working

Hey everyone,
I'm having issues with my note 3 (tmobile) and I'm not sure if it has to do with rooting, but every since I rooted my phone I cannot go into my stock dialer/contacts. As soon as I click it, it just says "Unfortunately, Contacts has stopped." I've tried rebooting the phone. And still no luck. I've also cleared cache and data and still nothing. Anyone know how to fix this issue? I've had to download a crappy dialer until I resolve this issue. And even with another dialer I cannot get to my call log, it gives me the same error, but at least i can get to my contacts.
Anyways thanks for the help!
If it helps I'm on: Tmobile note 3 Rooted using towelroot On 4.4.2
I guess you did something wrong while rooting.

unrooting and rooting again may not solve anything.
Flash stock room of your firmware (region)
since you are rooted it won't cause any problems to flash stock, look in the sticky section and do make a backup of it data and rom via cwm
Thanks I'll look into this and read the sticky. Also did it make a difference if I've remained on Stock? And would this trip Knox or anything like that?

Flashing stock ROM doesn´t trip KNOX
But maybe you trip knox while try root. Except of towelroot

If you have stock rom and rooted it, the issue is most probably caused by knox.
Removing knox or changing to a rom without knox should fix the issue.

Anyone know how to get rid of that "custom" logo on bootup?

So, I have the MF3 firmware and wanted to update it to the latest version. I backed up my phone, went to settings->Accounts->Backup and Reset->Factory Data Reset
I wiped my phone and after all that, it still has the custom logo. What can I do to get rid of the custom logo so I can update my phone? Any help you guys can give me would be appreciated. Thanks!

I did, but I also did a full unroot using the superuser thingy (I think it was Super SU). My understanding is I should be able to remove root, restore to factory default and the custom logo would go away. Any idea why it wouldn't be working?

I have the S4, Because I have MF3 firmware, I've been pretty careful to avoid doing any sort of custom flashing to avoid bricking my phone (since they locked the bootloader). Do I have to use ODIN to reset the custom status? And are there any significant risks to the phone if I do it this way? I'm aware anytime you mess with these kind of things, there is some risk, I just want to know it should be safe, it's been tested before, and I'm not just rolling the dice and hoping for the best.

Using TriangleAway app might brick ur phone and it might affect our phone, if u try it and it is Hard Brick and thats will be a problem over there.
Hard Brick and Soft Brick are different
Hard Brick is your phone is dead can't turn to recovery or download mode and you need to change ur motherboard
Soft Brick is usually just when you're phone is stuck in a bootloop, and as the name implies, is caused by a software error, usually the lack of a system to boot from or some other minor software bug that glitching boot. They are easily fixable by reflashing your ROM in recovery.

Where do I get the correct stock MF3 firmware file to be flashed by ODIN? I just want to make sure I use the correct one if I'm going to mess with ODIN. Haven't used it since my droid charge . . . which was a piece of garbage but I'm pretty sure that's common knowledge and affects no one at this point . . .

I went to that page and found my phone:
http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/database/SGH-I337/ATT/
All I found for firmware is MDL and MDB. I'm on MF3 but I'm not sure which of these I can use. Would I want to use one of these two? Or would I want to use the TAR files from this location?

I had done that. I did finally get it working after resetting it a few times. No idea why that is though . . . Hopefully, I'll get those OTA updates soon so I can go back to enjoying my phone. I hate stock so much and don't see much point in making many changes since I'm going to just reload everything via titanium backup once it's all updated.
Thanks for your help!
