Hi, can someone please tell why there is no official cyanogenmod 7 or 9 or 10??
And please forgive me if this type of question is asked before but i want someone to explain me in detail...
Thanks...
You have an official cm if it is made by cm
For that you need all official sources available for the device to make a bug free version
Since broadcom will not release the sources for this device only unofficial versions can be made by devs who have the time to modify source codes from other devices
That and remember, galaxy y is a budget phone. Even applying a live wallpaper makes it lag

I know that there are a lot of threads for compiling cm for many other phones but are there any dev available to make a guide for our beloved S4 i9500. The more people compiling cm for this device would be better and possibility of more bug fixes if we learn enough to do that. Been reading up a lot on this but was still wondering if a build guide can be posted please.
Hey man did u manage to get the tutorial coz im looking for it too and i have managed to download android 4.4 Supernexus source but i need help as well compiling for the Gt - I9500
Hello... I am trying to compile the S5 kernel with RNDIS for USB tethering, but I can't figure out to compile or manipulate the source you find on Google searching "S5 kernel source"
Sorry, can't post links yet.
Any help appreciated...
I'll post the source link when I get to 5 posts.
I had had a rough time getting a working kernel flashed to my S5. Pain in the ass!
Does anyone have the source code of latest version of Voltaqe Kernel (v15) ? Asked himself, he had lost it! Also searched all over the web, couldn't find anything.
Thanks
I'm in the same boat it looks as if the S4 scene is dead OTA lol. I'm still wondering myself why for a such a good device lol.
Hi everyone,
I just noticed that the Z300C Source code has been released by ASUS (2020/11/04).
https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/EeePAD/Zenpad/Z300C/Z300C_V4.7.5-update.tar.gz
Any enthusiast who are willing to help me try to build it ?
Edit:
I uploaded the source code on Github if anybody is interested in it :
https://github.com/dchenaux/android_kernel_asus_p023
So the build worked
I created a zImage.
Now i'm wondering what would be the next steps ?
My goal would be to make an aosp ROM.
I found some basic device tree for the tablet which I forked here :
https://github.com/dchenaux/android_device_asus_p023
I'm currently investigating how to achieve that. I never ported aosp for an unsupported device. If you have any advice I would be happy !
sadly i have no idea about how to build a rom, but i hope you reach the goal!
also, could you help me find out what file controls battery charging?
btw how did you find out about the release of the source code?
Hey
Sorry I didn't have time until now to investigate further, but it's still in my todo list.
I was looking for the stock rom on the Asus website and I saw that the source code was available.
Hi, any luck on making a custom ROM yet? (Sorry for the bad English)
