[Q] Certificate errors - Transformer TF300T General

I have a Tf300t that is 100% stock. No root and no rom. Since the last update that Asus pushed out, I have been having problems with frequent lockups that require removing the keyboard dock and holding down the power button for about 7 seconds to get it to come back up.
The last couple weeks, whenever I close the lid on it, the battery is drained at a very fast pace, within a few hours.
This morning, I unplugged it from the charger with a full battery. About 8 hours later, I opened it up and it was frozen. I removed the keyboard and held down the power button until it rebooted. When it did, my keyboard battery was at 0% and the tablet was at 3%. I have not used it all day. It has been in my bag. Also, after rebooting, every web site I go to gets an error saying the certificate is invalid. I am also unable to open the Amazon Appstore for an unknown reason. The program comes up, but it is blank and it has the circles spinning indefinitely. This also means I can't open many of my apps. They get an error saying that I need to reinstall the app.
Anyone else see behavior like this?
Programs I have installed lately include:
Mint.com
Manilla
Solar2

4.1.83 - random reboots a thing of the past?

I realized today that I hadn't had a random reboot in a while. From day 1 I could count on 1-2 random rebooted with my Atrix.
Sure enough, my uptime is 280hrs+, which is in line with when I took the OTA update. My wife's phone appears to be the same, and it was rebooting at a similar rate to mine before the update.
Both are rooted/non market enabled but not modded.
How's your stability been on 4.1.83?

I had one strange reboot this morning, my phone had been lagging up a lot, along with the screen not turning on when I pressed the sleep button.
I look down a minute later and I see the Motorola logo. But afterwards it seemed just dandy.
Random reboots
I just bought this phone Friday at 7:45pm. It was working fine when I got home Friday night after purchasing it. I hooked it up to my pc and got the needed updates to 4.1.57.MB860.ATT.en.US. Saturday morning I installed one game bejeweled and advance task manager before heading out to work.
I got back home around 1:30pm and started setting up my contacts on the phone. Around 6:00pm I left the phone plugged into my pc and heard the phone rebooting from the other room. At first I thought maybe there was an update and that's why it was rebooting.
Two hours later it did the same thing again with no warning about a reboot when I was manually adding new contacts. I notice there was another update available to version 4.1.83 which I now have installed on the phone and it's still rebooting on its own.
I also noticed that my battery was right at 60% and while plugged up to my pc it was only recharging 10% every hour on the hour not sure if that's normal for this phone.
(Two hours later battery power at 90% with a solid green power light visible but taking forever to reach 100%)
Also right after the 4.1.83 update the phone would reboot and then the battery light on the phone would just randomly flash red with the motorola logo sitting on the screen. I had to pop the battery out, waited for about 30's before putting the battery back in and powering it back up and it still sat on the logo screen with the red flashing light.
(The battery is now at 100% but 3mins after unplugging it from the pc it displays 90% again all I've did is watch it reboot on its own.)
I removed the battery again but waited for about 5mins before powering it up and this time it actually booted up like normal and about 30mins later another reboot.
I also noticed that as soon as I finish watching a video with youtube the phone reboots a few seconds after the screen goes to sleep. Now as I am writing this comment I decided to uninstall that advance task manager program and do a reboot. The phone is at 80% and after I watch about three videos with youtube the phone didn't reboot.
I have no idea what's up with this phone and I really like it alot except for this mysterious rebooting not to mention other people experiencing random reboots. I read online where a lot of people where saying it was due to a bad battery and that they got a new battery from Att and the problem went away.
I am really thinking about turning this one in for a new replacement but some people are saying even after doing that they still kept having the problems.
Could this really be something wrong with the updates that is causing issues with the phone or is it just a bunch of bad batteries?
Battery?
Back again, in the post I made earlier I mentioned how the phone wouldn't randomly reboot when the battery was around 80% well the battery charged to 90% and the random rebooting has started up again and it has rebooted 3 times back to back now that it is at 90%.......I think I am going back to the Att store when they open today and try getting a new battery............

If I were you I would get a replacement phone. I did have one random reboot since updating to 4.1.83 and that was the first ever I've noticed with my phone. Otherwise I haven't noticed any issues. As for charging via a pc I did hear that was slow. I charge via power outlet or using a car adapter and both are fairly quick. Good luck.
Battery?
I decided to do a factory reset on the phone first and the funny thing is after the reset, the phone still showed that it had the latest update installed even though I still had to go through the setup process just like when I first purchased the phone. So far it appears to be working and hasn't rebooted on me yet. No rebooting after playing Youtube videos either. The only small pet peeve I have at the moment is the Facebook & MySpace contact photos will not show up for some unknown reason in the contacts sections, they're just empty picture frames. The contact photos that do show up are the ones from my google gmail account and I manually added those online myself so those automatically transfer when my phone syncs with the gmail account.
And the MySpace widget doesn't show a photo as well but the info in the widget is current. That's way better than experiencing random rebooting when you really need your phone the most.

This is normal. A FR cleans all of the user data reseting it back to a "clean" version of the flashed rom.
I can say that I have also not had any reboots since .83 but it is also the first time i have loaded gingerblur.

[4.5.91] Anyone seen this weird crash?

It's pretty odd. What happens is I leave my phone in my pocket for a while. Eventually, seemingly through no effort of my own, I'll pull it out and it will be almost literally on fire. When I wake the screen up, I can see I have no cell connection, the battery is almost dead, and no services seem to be showing in the notification bar. Then, I unlock my screen, and there are a bunch of crash dialogs showing. Typically the one on top is that the Market has crashed and must be force closed. There are about 8 of these dialogs and as soon as I close them all, my phone reboots. After rebooting, I am in the same state. No services started and a pile of dialogs after unlocking, I have to pull the battery for several minutes to let the phone cool down, then when I start it back up it sits at the Rethinking Possible screen for almost 5 minutes and afterwards my phone is working normally aside from needing a charge.
Has anyone else seen this problem??
i think you should try factory wipe.
if no luck then flash it with gingerbread .

Reset to factory, call moto and request a new battery just in case. The battery should be free if you are still under warranty and they even pay for shipping.

Overheating Transformer:(

Not sure if this is a common problem (sorry if I didn't look hard enough in the forums) but after the ICS update, my tablet sometime gets very hot (as in I could feel the heat through my backpack even with it inside a neoprene case). I still get the random restarts but there are times when the transformer seems to be in sleep mode yet steadily gets hotter and hotter until I am forced to shut it down.
I was wondering if this is a common problem with the ICS update or if I should get mine checked out
Thanks.
I hate saying this every time: Have you done basic troubleshooting like factory reset and coldboot and checking if it still gets hot when you don't have any 3rd party apps installed?
Other than that, it's most likely a hardware problem that you have to RMA.
yea it's almost definitely a hardware issue since theres no moving parts in there.
It may be the batteries but just like above me said, try doing cold reboot or maybe a factory reset. If it still happens you def have a hardware issue
I had experienced overheating just one. One night, I left my TF on its CaseLogic case turned on before I went to work. When I came back, it was stuck on the Asus loading page, the dots were not even moving. I had to press the power button for about 10 sec to turn it off. When I checked the battery temp, it was 42 degrees celcius. After that, I do not leave my TF turned on anymore when I leave it at home.

[Q] Brand new G2: battery stuck at 100%, gapps process failure

Hey guys,
searched the web and the forums, with no result
I got a brand new G2 this thursday (thought why pay double for a G3 for features I don't need). After unpacking it I plugged it in and waited, until the LED turned green, aprox. 2 hours or so, and then turned it on the first time. I fiddled around with it a bit, was very pleased with the phone, then decided to update everything. On friday I went to work with it, played around with it every now and then, and around lunch time I noticed, that the battery showed 100% in the status bar. Wow, I thought, that's battery life :silly:
An hour later, the phone just turned off... and 'cause I realize you dont want to hear my life's story I will make it shorter now:
Phone didnt react to anything, plugged it in, battery logo appeared: 100%, turned it on (battery 100% in the status bar), turned it off and on (still 100%) let it load for a while, unplugged it, used it for a while, always 100%...
So no matter what I do, it always shows 100%. Turned itself off again since then. When I go to settings -> battery, in the field where it wants to show me the remaining time on battery, it just says "gathering battery info, please wait" (or something alike). Tried several battery apps, all showing me 100%.
Can anyone make something out of this?
Also, everytime when I turn the phone on, it shows me a message, that some process com.google.gapps (or so) was closed. When I delete the Cache of the play store then the message does not appear on the next restart, but on the 2nd restart after that it is there again...
@martinowski - Here I have to ask a few basic questions: Is everything still stock as it came out of the box?
Not Rooted or rommed we assume?
It might be a HW fault requiring a return to seller.
Have you tried a 'Factory Reset" under 'Settings" / "Backup and Reset"
If that doesn't work I would return to seller before doing anything else - you do not want to risk your warranty!(assuming you have one):silly:
Everything is stock out of the box... I already assumed I would have to return it, but wanted to get a second opinion.
And yes, I did a factory reset, didn't work.
Always bad luck with my phones, now I am back to my one s with home button bug...

Faulty

First of all -please excuse the thread's title, but I encountered an issue where I couldn't input content in the "title" box unless I refreshed the page and started typing before it loaded the page fully (tried on both Chrome and Firefox - VERY odd).
Recently I've encountered issues with the phone (N910F) getting really hot and shutting down the phone. I was in The Philippines at the time and the daily temp was around 34 degrees so I thought this may have had something to do with it. One battery in particular, whenever I used the camera it would shut the phone down. I stopped using that battery and then eventually the other 2 have been doing the same - they are all after market batteries bought from Amazon from Anker and Rav power and within a year old. But then it would get worse and the phone would just randomly shut down - it seemed to make no difference if it was at 90% or 30, it would just die. I'd often have to do a battery pull and hold down the power button just to get it to fire back up again. Over the last 2 weeks it's gone form a few times a day, to multiple times an hour! I even tried to limit the load by changing the governor to "powersave" and that initially seemed to help matters.
I figured it could be one of three things going wrong - a software related issue, a hardware issue with the phone or failing batteries. I installed [ROM][N910G/F][ODEX]* DQL1 * Multi-CSC, De-Bloat stock, Fast&Light[CUSTOM] and it was a while till anything happened but then once again - it shut down. So I don't see it being ROM related, I'd only added a couple of basic apps too, so I cant see it being a rogue app.
My last N910F had the EMMC failure and I recall that it would regularly freeze or lag heavily then crash and bootloop, but normally my phone just shuts down. I'm hoping that this means it's most likely battery issues, but it seems strange that all 4 batteries would fail within a 5 month period, especially as they were all on rotation. I even took to only charging them (in a Samsung external charging cradle) on an evening when the temperature was cooler. I've contacted both manufacturers but I know that Anker dont have any replacement batteries anymore, so I'm hoping Rav power will replace that faulty battery (that one started to swell a few days ago.
So, what do you fine fellows think is the likely issue that I'm encountering? I don't want to throw good money after bad and buy more batteries if it's likely that it's a phone issue, but I also don't want to get rid of the phone if I can get it working again.....
(I'd been running the Resurrection Remix Rom on Nougat for about 10 months. I went traveling 8 months ago so I didn't update the ROM as I it wasn't super stable at that point and I was happy how it was working - if it's not broke, dont fix it! But after a while I started to have issues and one of the batteries began to swell. I got rid of that one and switched between the other 3)
