Filesystem errors? - Nexus 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey guys, I'm running stock ROM and it's unlocked/rooted with the toolkit.
Three things are bugging me:
1) When I connect my phone to a computer, some folders that I just created on my phone using a File Explorer do not show up.
2) When I mass transfer files from phone to computer. Some files ended up not transferring, no matter how many times I try.
3) When I restore appdata using Titanium Backup, sometimes it does not work.

Bump.

[Q]Titanium backup: Transfers from internal memory to PC

Hi,
I am using TF honeycomb 3.1 rooted and latest version titanium backup and win7 64bit.
When I connect my TF to my PC, I can see titanium backup folder with all files in it, but for some reason I can not transfer the whole backup folder to my PC. It can only transfers 2 files.
So I look intensively in to it. I tried to use root explorer to zip the backup folder. But, I can not see my backup ziped file.
Someone having the same problem?
Thank
I have had this problem. When it happens do a few things. I reboot the tf , make sure usb debugging is off and try to get the tb bu copied as quickly after reboot as possible. YMMV
Try moving the backup folder to your external microsd card and physically moving it to the computer. It should allow you to copy the folder then.
Use adb pull command.

[Q] Files invisible in Android File Transfer App

I'm trying to transfer Titanium Backup files from my N7 to my Mac. The backup files are visible in ES File Explorer on the tablet in the TitaniumBackup folder on the sd card directory , but when the folder is viewed on the AFT app on my mac, it is empty.
The folder properties are read/write and not hidden.
I managed to see them, and transfer across last week, so I'm wondering why I cant now? I've flashed a couple of mod ROMs, then back to stock since - is that likely to have altered anything?
I have tried uninstall and reinstalling the AFT app on the mac, but the same problem persists.
Same thing with Windows 7 mate. Some of my files I can see on phone's file explorer but not on Windows explorer. I'm using AOKP ROM btw. Don't know if it's happening on stock ROM though.

Can't transfer nandroid backup to computer

Hi, I've made two different nandroid backups using twrp in the last couple weeks and both times when I try to transfer the backup to my laptop through data cable it only transfers like 10 megs of the data and does nothing else, even though the file has almost 3 gigs in it. If I open the backup folder itself and select every item in there and try to transfer that way, same thing, most of the items just don't copy over, don't get an error or anything.
Furthermore, if I use a file explorer and try to transfer the backup folder to my external SD card, I get an error message (cant remember what it said and I already deleted the backup as it was taking up too much space).
Any ideas about what's going on? I will try to do another backup soon but it's pointless if I can't move it anywhere, since I don't want it taking up space on my phone. Thanks guys!

What type sdcard? 32g, 64g?
Hi, just a 16 gig. I didn't think it was the SD card though because even when the backup is stored on the phone itself, it still won't transfer to the computer (via a usb cable)

on the pc transfer can you copy smaller files of anything to pc from phone
try different cable or pc
try a different recovery and see if things copy ok--maybe the backups are bad
not sure on internal transfers--try the stock file mgr "My Files" and try with smaller files also
i have a 64gb samsung pro exfat--works perfect

[Q] Titanium backup - File transfer

This is a very basic question.. but I just can't seem to find the solution:
I am rooted, have used Titanium backup to backup my apps/data, and I want to transfer the file folder of backups over to my computer for extra security/backup. However, I'm having trouble locating the file on my phone to transfer it.
I connected the USB cable, and am searching in the phone's internal memory. I can't find the Titanium backup folder to transfer the files.
Can anyone help me out?
Thanks!

Well, I used the "wireless storage" function on the phone and was able to find the directory that way, but I am wondering why I can't see it when connected with the USB cable?

SD Card issue: Folders & files being deleted after reboot

I'm having a serious issue and I'm not sure if it has to do with the rom or an app... Idk, but it's extremely frustrating. Any help would be appreciated. And I'm sorry if it ends up being something that has nothing to do with a bug in the rom.
Here's what's happening:
I'll connect my to my pc through USB to transfer files and such. I navigate to my external SD card. I create a folder and transfer a couple of files into said folder. Done.
Now, idk if this happens automatically or after a reboot but... Basically, everything I do or put on my SD card gets deleted. It's like what I do gets reversed... The folder, the files.. Gone. Idk what's happening. Is it the rom? Or maybe an app?
I use Cyanogenmod 10/05 Nightly. I have ROM toolbox, and titanium backup. That's it. I recently did a full backup through my philz recovery. Could it be something I did through my settings?
It just started happening in the last week or so. I've changed nightlies but it's still happening. So I don't think it's the ROM.
Please help if you can. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

- First, make sure you have properly eject the sd card before disconnecting it from the PC.
- Second, after disconnecting from the PC, use file explorer app on your phone to see if the files and folder are still there?
And using rootexplorer or similar make sure your extsd card has r/w access. I had the same issue and it worked okay after changing r/o to r/w.
Even after running the sdcard fix apps I need to do this from time to time.

SD write issu
I did a fresh install but I'm unable to use sdcard. Every time I copy something to sdcard it dissapears after reboot.
Some apps also change their icons after reboot to the one with "sd" and when I try to open them it shows "App not installed".
I checked with Root Explorer and it shows permissions rwxrwxrwx.
I'm using NxtGen ROM. Any ideas? Also posted this in their forum.
