I just saw on the portal that sensation xl got a sense 4.1 jb rom.
rom thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2036007
Since many sense 3.5 roms were based on sensation xl, maybe this rom can be used/ported to the lovely hd2?
hopefully someone's willing to start the project. I would but i don't know enough in android development and porting. Hats off to all rom chefs here.

Instead of this stupid post, you could refer him to the Search option in this forum.
Yea, i know... I just wanted to use it
Since none of the above posts have actually been useful (although admittedly I would have posted something similar to Marek989), the simple answer is no.

Nope. Not joking at all.
I just got it to boot.
I am editing the init.htcleo.rc to see if I can fix the Wifi and Bluetooth.
If what I do doesn't fix it then I'll link in the HD2 Android Nand Development forum.
Okay. I put it up in the Nand section..
Couldn't get the wifi to work like it was done on my Dinc, so I'm gonna have to ask everyone's help to get it working.

As soon as its up you will be getting a pint on me. I respect whoever has the time (and the stones) to make and especially post a rom to be scrutinized by the compassionless public.
Good luck
Bring it on!
Thank you sir! Can't wait to test it out.
Out of curiosity, what version is it based on? Gingerbread? Good luck with the final touches and more power to you.

Nice to see one of the premiere EVO guys writing for our device This is gonna be sweet, Caulkin has been behind some of the coolest scripts and fixes and some of the fastest rom base images that a lot of others use for their own cooking....very nice indeed !

I'm sure it's on XDA as well, but at the time, I was mostly on PPC-Geeks:

Just so you know ... this was a TP2 (Windows Mobile) thing ... nothing of interest for the G-tab here.

Calkulin, man, glad to see you here! I actually left the evo to get the gtab. So far, still happy with my decision
Being the dev-monSTAR you are, you think a port of Sense will make it to the gtab?!
I'm jus playin, probably the longest of longshots getting that to work
cant wait to give it a go man! Whats the ETA looking like?

Hello,
just recently sense 3.0 was ported to the evo with everything, including 4g, working, there are a few minor bugs that will get ironed out very soon.. isnt is possible to port to the epic?
If you are here to flame this thread or say that sense sucks, this is not the thread for you.
Now if any developer wantsto partakein this project, many people in this forum would appreciate it.
Thanks
The Evo is a Sense device. The Epic is not.
Is there even a Sense .001 out for the Epic?

I believe the epic deserves far more credit then that. The SOFTWARE it has, now that's a different story.
Many devs of the EVO are busy trying to take Sense OFF their phones. I find it unlikely you will find a dev who wants to take the time to port something to our phone that a handful of people, at best, would want.
You'll find more info in this thread:

No one said the Epic can't handle Sense, just that a port is highly unlikely. This isn't about the device at all. The OP could be asking for a port of Sense for his microwave and we'd have the same problem - lack of source code (for Sense, the target device, or both)
A look-alike would be easier to make, but

Fast boot is under Power I think. You may have lost the Low Storage Wizard, though on Sense 3 ROMs. I can post another zip later for those.
Ridiculous. This problem has been plaguing sense 3 roms for tons of phones and has never been fixed, now magically you fix it. Insanity.

I was just teasing, trying to get mattykinsx to take the bait. You can also ignore this post-whore who seems to hate xda so much but yet trolls the forums 24/7 looking for people who don't agree with him so he can use bolded words and such.
Sorry to use your thread for this mischievous purpose.
[email protected]
Seriously, though, starting a thread with just a link and no commentary or opening salvo for a discussion is a tad weak. And I believe that, as has already been discussed, the unlock bootloader tool will only work on certain phones, and the EVO 4G is not one of them.
I don't particularly care, since I don't want to register my phone with HTC along with the fact that I've potentially voided my warranty. That can stay between me and my friends at XDA.
Finally, I will be curious to see how this Sense Developer gambit pays off. Are people really going to devote time to developing Sense-specific apps and widgets? I support that some developers worked on apps for the PlayBook too, so anything is possible.
@MaxCarnage
Thanks for the lols. I did think to myself that the post was a bit lacking, but it's not hard to click the link. As you said, however, it's kind of pointless for the EVO4G right now, except maybe the Sense SDK might allow for some nifty things.
I wish HTC would make the source code page easier. Look it up by device or something. A huge list of random source code postings is fine when it's short like it is now, but it's only going to grow. Yea yea... CTRL-F is my friend...

That's the only answer I had run across but they were all dated a few months ago so I wasn't sure if it'd still work (I know in the early days Swype "Beta" was sketchy at best and expired frequently).
Sorry for the noobness, I've been out of the scene since before CM development even began on the Epic, so feeling kinda rusty!
Thanks!
Been using Swype beta on CM9 for a month or so. I personally love it. Wrote this post with Swype with no mistakes.
