Extract it and there should be an APK inside that you need to install to your device.

So to continue my saga, after I bricked it, paid for a new motherboard, the V7 unlock tool would not work giving the unknow error has occurred..may be network communications issue....... Called up ASUS, *****ed at them for an hour, they issued an RMA to do the "fix", came back wiped clean, and neither the V7, or new V8 work, get the same error. First time they told me my serial number showed that the unit was unlocked, even though it was not with a brand new mother board......
I hate this company.........

did you try to get your new serial number by fastboot?
in other threads they say that fastboot now (on 4.2) works even on locked tablets, tho most commands arent working.
with "fastboot -i 0x0b05 getvar all" there should be a "serial no." field

its a new feature in 4.2, if you boot to the boot menu (the one to get into recovery) you'll have fastboot enabled even while locked but you cant use it to flash a new recovery or system tho.
to just read infos it should work.

How much did they charge you? I can't flash with fastboot because the bootloader freezes and now I have to send it in. They quoted me $80 but I think they charge you like $200!

Last week my girlfriend received her brand new Huawei P8. I saw it was still running Android 5.0.1 so i wanted to update it first before she would start using it.
There was no OTA update available so i downloaded the B321 update, however i ****ed up! Update progress said it completed i believe, this went very fast. But now i am in a boot loop. I understand that i shouldn't had unzip the zipfile. I extracted the dload folder but this was wrong..
Also my bootloader was nog unlocked yet. I now try flashing another rom using fastboot but i get the following error:
FAILED (remote: Command not allowed)
I believe this is because of the locked bootloader. I try to get an unlock code and unlock the bootloader using fastboot. However, i need the product-id. Is there another method to obtain the product-id rather than entering the code using the dial?
I only needed the info on the box, nothing from the phone. Hope you get it fixed!
How did you obtain the product id? I got the IMEI and Serial from the box but i need a product id as well.

You can try to obtain the product ID with the generator, i uploaded it here for you View attachment Huawei_Product_ID_Generator.zip

I used the generator to get my product-id. Used the phone C8812 from the generator. However, when i fill in this form:
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/6295995/Capture.PNG
Using my serial, imei and the product i keep getting the error message that i something is not correct.
I tried filling in Huawei GRA-L09 and Huawei C8812 as model. At the topic you gave it says, you need to click on the C8822 smart phone on the link but i am just shown some agreement and after that this form i posted.
Send it back to Huawei or whoever you bought it from to fix it.

Bricked Huawei P8
Hi. Maybe some of you manage to unbrick your phones and you have some tips. I was trying on mine everything that I found on internet. I can't start the EMUI everytime, but when it's starting I have only 3 options, reboot, download and recovery, shutdown. Hit the download but ends up with an error. I was flashing also with the fastboot. Nothing. Do you have other ideas to share? At this moment I can try everything. Thanks
Cheers
So I installed the revolution mod ( nougat ) and my fingerprint sensor was not working so I installed the stock firmware and because there were no fingerprints saved on stock , I factory reseted the phone , then I installed the revolution rom again and it was working for few days but now it stopped working again ( sometimes it does not recognize it and sometimes it doesnt even vibrate Like i would not even have my finger on it )
To me that sounds like an hardware issue and therefore needs to be sent in for repair.
I don't think it's an hardware issue.. the ROM has some problem with some people, I suggest you to try stock ROM for a few days to verify if the problem is related to your device or the ROM.

To me it sounded he installed stock and it did not work there either.
Ofc if it works in stock it should be related to the custom ROM.

Well if you are on a Nougat build, you cannot just flash a MM update.app
You either need to flash an OEMinfo file first (old method) or use the official Huawei rollback method (new method).
If you did none of that, that might be the reason why your phone does not boot.

Well that is a problem.
You need to get that code it is your only option.
This can be done with the DC Unlocker but it will cost you a few bucks and you need to find a guide in here or somewhere else. Or you just figure it out yourself. I have never used it.
You can also try to get the code again by using the Huawei site but you need your IMEI and some other stuff. I guess some of it can be found on the packaging that your device came with...

I mean you might try to find a way to get the needed information with adb but I do not know how. Maybe a Google search can provide more info.
There are also several threads in here where people tried to recover the bootloader code from a bricked device.
Just make sure to SAVE it somewhere safe once you retrieve it

Yeah that is the big problem...
Normally you get it over the phone dialer but since you are in bootloop...
I don't know...
There are programs out there that generate the product ID but I have no clue if they work for this device.
Use the huawei site where you get the unlock code and you will find that the id is found by typing a code on the phone dialer.... there you will find what to type on the phone.

I can't access the phone
I've been trying almost everything for days. When I turn on the phone the bootloader enters in a loop.
I can't access to recovery (vol up + power), not even in update mode(vol up & vol down + power).
The only thing I can access is the fastboot but my phone is locked and I don't the have the imei to unlock via calculator or the oficial huawei page.
If someone have any suggestions.

I downloaded the official ROM from huawei and is the recent version but when I tried to install it with "fastboot update file.zip" is asking for an android-text.txt and I been searching to re-create that file manually and then is asking for another file and so on.
I've been searching if I can install the oficcial ROM by fastboot even if is not unlocked and find this guide but it is not usefull for me 'cause I can't access into the download mode or use adb.
This is the information I could extract from my phone.
Firmware : ALE-L21C109B130
I couldn't fint this version of firmware.

Ok i searched for ways to find an IMEI number and found couple of ways...
1) Look under/in the sim tray. It may be there (I didn't check this out)
2) Find the IMEI/MEID using Google Dashboard. This is Google's control center that can be accessed from any computer with a web browser. You will need to log in with the Google account associated with your Android phone. You can access Google Dashboard by visiting www.google.com/settings/dashboard Expand the "Android" section by clicking the "Android" heading.Locate your phone in the list. If you have multiple devices associated with your account, all of the devices will be displayed. Find the device that you are trying to retrieve the IMEI/MEID number for. (This works)
3) At last, you can try to remove the back case and remove the battery. This can help you in 2 ways. Firstly, there should be IMEI code present under the battery. Secondly, this may cause you to get out of bootloop

If this doesn't work I experienced mine failing, but I borrowed my brother's computer which is like super old, and it workes on his, seems to be a compatibility issue so find the oldest pc u have and try, u could also try on of those bad USB hubs, bc on my main pc it just freezes, idk if this will work but worth a shot.
And also download the latest Ph-1 USB drivers from their website
Also if u select new builds on this website scroll all the way down and u'll have instructions

You can search for combination file instead, I got those sites here and here from just typing "G955W combination file" into google.
If it still fails - Though I doubt - try this tool then, I can't confirm if it's working or if it's safe though.
Also code is encrypted so I can't confirm if it contains malicious code. So it may be unsafe both for your android and for your PC lol.
Maybe you can use it on a windows sandbox.
