Some of the other forums are reporting using it already. I'm trying to get someone to try to get me the update file.
**edit** there are 20 or so on another forum reporting a fully operational setup with a ton of fixes.
**edit 2** http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=21224776 is uploading the update file now. (hint hint, devs?)

Smart move on Asus' part. Release the update three days "early", and suddenly everybody's so pitifully grateful to get what Google should've made a year ago, that they've forgotten all about the delivery delays, faulty GPS, problematic Wifi and Bluetooth, downgraded monaural audio, etc. etc.
And all they had to do was make a slightly conservative promise on a delivery date, then move it three days earlier.
Would be nice to wake up to ics update. Correct me of I'm wrong but those of us that are rooted and flashed a custom ROM would have to unroot to receive an Fota update right?

with this and the early ics thats goin around we might have a decent beta runnin around soon man i cant wait.

I haven't forgotten anything: I wanted that Prime so bad I could hardly stand it, but after all the screwups and ASUS's refusal to fix them, I'll be taking delivery of a TF101 in about two days. $500 is simply too much to buy into that kind of trouble, but I still believe in the tablet/ultrabook idea.
This is just great news. I'm anxiously awaiting the TF101 ICS update. Great job, ASUS!

The update was expected to release on Jan 12, but Asus rolled it out two days early. Company has not yet released change-log...........

I'm hoping for a TF101 release by Friday, as I am off skiing with my TF101, and whilst I know it will make my Apple loving ski-pals sick already, ICS would make them even sicker...

True, but as in the past with almost every other FOTA someone has de-odexed and rooted the ota as well as making it a flashable zip via cwm.

Any word on if they have forgotten all about us io tab users? Kinda odd a "dev" device isn't getting pushed 3.2 or 4.0 b4 other things...

I think you can run the public's officially released galaxy tab10.1's roms.
As long as u open up metainf/com/google/android/updaterscript in notepad++ and delete the lines with assert get prop.
Sent from my SPH-D700 using Tapatalk
Yes. I think it's weird too. It was first to get 3.1, so you'd expect it to get 3.2 first especially since its running what looks like almost stock Honeycomb.
I know I can run custom roms... That wasn't the point. And yes the io is a pure Google experience as far as I know

Well u can run official samsung roms that were meant for non i/o version

I completely understand where your coming from here. What would be the reason they would abandon this. I can't think of a logical reason.
U would think they'd want "devs" to have the newest OFFICAL OS...
Sent from my PG86100 using xda premium
Blue, the only reason I can think of is they don't want the rom to leak and b used on the non io tabs, still extremely odd to me tho
Sent from my PG86100 using xda premium
Well part of it is probably that they have them away for free

They onlycmade 5000 of these. i would guess there is more roi supporting the hundreds of thousands of the retail version than the 5000
Sent from my GT-P7510 using Tapatalk
It wouldn't b hard to start with a io base then ready it for the retail... And if there only being 5k of them is the reason why did the io get 3.1 first... Anyways I had to email Sammy for a return cause my screen is finally popping up so i asked support about this all in my email as well. We shall see if anything gets mentioned

Also interested in upgrades to IO edition
As one of the other 5,000 who has the Galaxy Tab 10.1 Google IO Edition tablets, I've also been trying to track down the 3.2 upgrade. I've a spent a good chunk of this afternoon searching the web, deleting/re-adding my Samsung account to the Tab, and (gasp!) even installing Kies to see if it would unlock any necessary driver or other changes.
So far, nothing - same as what I read here. So, I'm looking forward to know if/when the 3.2 upgrade will be available to us IO Tab owners. (Though, I admit, I'd rather see ICS.)
Thanks for keeping us informed if any of the rest of you make any progress in finding a real, official update path that avoids the need to update/install ROM images, etc.

Yea @ this point I'm not worried about 3.2 its all about ics for me now but the fact they havnt responded a second time even about a rma kinda worries me
Sent from my PG86100 using xda premium
I also don't care for 3.2 right now. It's all about ICS, but seeing how 3.1 was here first and now 3.2 wasn't. I'm almost certain now its abandoned.
Some1 should start a petition for the 5000 of us who have these tabs lol
Sent from my PG86100 using xda premium
Ok so finally got a hold of some1 from Samsung. They said the io tab WILL get a ics update. But no date was able to b given.

Hi,
I know there is a whole thread on this app in apps forum, but as yet no one has it working on a transformer.
For those unaware, Sky released the app to a selection of handsets, Samsung gs2, and htc devices, maybe 1 or 2 others. They also banned rooted devices and any device on ics.
Devs have it working on certain devices once rooted and with ics I believe.
As of now, this app has not worked on a wifi only tablet.
It can install and I can sign in with my sky login(required for this app), but when I play a video it doesn't work.
If anyone can get this working on tf101 I will be eternally grateful.
cheers
Daz

Does this still not work on our transformers? Mines rooted with an ics rom so I guess not :-(
Hey guys I found this thread through xda news. A dev for the prime managed to tweak the kernel code and move system folders to run off of the ext-sdcard which made writing and reading speeds faster than with internal. I'm no developer but I guess this could work for the 300 once we start getting custom kernels. What do you guys think? Here's the link to the thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1803252

I just received an OTA update from ASUS today on the TF300. Looks to be JRO03C US_epad-10.4.2.20-20121228.
Cool. Not on their site yet, so I'll just wait on that. Wonder what's in this one.

Well, it isn't JB 4.2, still seems to be 4.1.1

I'm at work right now so I can't really play too much with it to see what the changes are. I haven't noticed anything yet. Also, I'm a noob so I am not sure where the changelog would be stored.
No worries, thanks for the information. Changelog is not on the tablet itself.

Performance has improved in the stock browser. It lags less when inputting text and when scrolling. Maybe some I/O/caching improvements?
The Infinity received the update yesterday.
Also, clear the cache/cold boot after installing, just to make sure no old files have been left behind which may slow down your Transformer Pad.
Thanks for the info...haven't had my tablet out yet today (am at work) so grabbing it now to check for the update.
Received the OTA update in România. Seems to have a new kernel too.

Im looking to get this today however it will be without LTE/3G. How does one update it without carrier push? Only rooting and installing? Im glad to hear they are still pushing updates for this model. Id like to wait but i need a tablet for school asap
Same update was pushed to my Canadian WW. Don't notice anything significant. The last build has been really good already.
