Yes it does (at least on the Nexus 4, didn't check the TF300 yet, but it's probably there).
Go to Settings > Display > Wireless Display.
But Miracast is still not widely adopted by the market, as it's hard to find compatible devices
on the market. =(
No

Seriously? But yours look like 4.1... Isn't the 4.2 phablet Ui? I mean nvidia made a video to show how good the tegra 3 on miracast -.-
Sent from my ASUS Transformer Pad TF300T using Tapatalk HD
4.2 is selectable between phablet ui and the same one we have had in 4.1. I believe it is just a check box to go back and forth.

Nexus 7 doesn't have miracast either, I believe it is partially hardware dependent. No amount of software tweaks will help if the hardware doesn't support it.

Maybe it's due to a lack of a DRM license or device certification?

Guys does nexus 7 have GPS ?? and does it support a 3g/4g dongle via USB OTG cause it doesn't have a mobile connectivity.

Well i was in an absolute mood to buy it ever since it was in the rumors. but guys no back camera ??? not even GPS. C'mon, thats too much. Now i doubt I'll buy it cause the only purpose now I feel it has is gaming. Well i am not a die hard gamer. Too much features sacrificed just for the price tag. Would have been better if they released a better version with slightly higher price tag, umm.. around 300$ with GPS and at least 3g connectivity. DISAPPOINTED !!

Uuhhh why do you think it has no GPS? It says right on the specs section of the google play page that it has GPS.

I've watched Google io again and clearly they use a device and not emulator to show it on the big screen .... did Asus make some other version of the n7 or is mhl available only in io versions?
I know that this has been asked somewhere before but I just can't find it ....it...
Thanks in advance

*edit* to the OP, the final production version does not include the above port and does NOT include MHL. As of right now there is no way to hook up the Nexus 7 to a TV.
I'm loving the Nexus 7 and was getting ready to purchase... but this is probably going to be a deal breaker. Being able to use stickmount for USB OTG is fine.... but no way to hook it up to a TV really sucks.

Works fine on my transformer, guessing it will work on N7 when I get it.
Just get the apk either download or pull from a mobile (current version is 1.6.0)
Not sure why they say incompatible it looks fine on tablets.

Ran into the same issue... No answer yet :[
...possibly because the Nexus 7 is a serious competitor for the Kindle Fire? You can't even buy a N7 on Amazon. The fire on the other hand is LOADED with gadgets to facilitate spending money at Amazon.
...just my personal conspiracy theory
the app itself works fine, it's google blocking the installation, you can get around it by sideloading the amazon appstore and then installing the other amazon apps through it.

How can you sideload a paid app? (not pirate)
That's because Tegra 3 makes the game run at "Medium". There game's files are basically stored within a zip with the ".obb" extension (SDCard\Android\data\obb\*asphalt 7 whatever folder*\something.obb". There's an XML file that has a ton of options for each chipset. It runs at "High" on my i9300. The highest is Ultra, but I haven't seen it running on that on any device. This game has serious optimization issues and lags like crazy.

I don't think its piracy if I buy an app for my phone Anderson install the same app on my tablet why pay twice for the same thing

Well, correct me if I'm using the wrong terminology , but I used ES file explorer to back up the app to my micro sd card on my phone and then put the micro SD card into my tablet

Technically, it's not.
LOL. Android apps are completely abysmal. It's amazing this app ever even made it to Android, and it's a perfect joke that it doesn't even run on tf300t, and when it does run it's **** for graphics and **** for optimized.
It's like devs get payed to NOT develop quality apps for android.

I think it's a better name than vita, wii u, xbox one and probably a few others, and those consoles come from companies that have been doing it for years.

Roth was the internal codename when we needed to refer to it by a codename other than Thor. So yes, we had a codename for the codename.
