when trying to transfer files from my mac onto my N4 using android file transfer (im on a mac) at first the device will load and then maybe after 5 seconds or less it will disconnect and reconnect for about 1 second on and off. it makes it really annoying to put roms onto the devices storage because i am able to start the transfer then after the 5 seconds it disconnects and the transfer fails. i know the usb works and everything because adb works fine. this happens on every rom/kernel i have tried. any ideas?

I have a weird issue that I can not seem to fix. When I connect my N7 as a media I can not access files on my N7 on my laptop. When I change it to Camera I can tranfer some files. But about half way though I am getting a media crash and I can no longer transfer files unless I unplug and re-plug in my N7 again. Not sure what is causing the issue.
I am running CM11. I even format and clean install of CM to see if that would fix the issue. That did not.

since i install CM11-M4 (before i have original Rom from LG installed) the USB to my Win7 PC lost while i copy .mp3 files onto the LG-G2 after 5-10 files. After disconnect and reconnect the USB connection i can copy again 5 to 10 files and then the connection lost / freeze again. Windows "says" it is not able to copy the file and abort.
The Problem also happens as .jpg files. But what i observe is, that the connection is only lost, if i transfered files are bigger then ~4MB. If i use ~2MB files the problem not occure
In USB setting of the LG the "MTB" is enabled,
Is this a know problem and is therfore a solution ?

I make on more observation.
If i copy the files one by one, then i can copy infinite files. So thats hard, if you want to copy a few albums to the phone . But if i try to copy more then 10 files in one procedure, then the USB connection hangs.
The same probleme occures on a second PC with Windows 8.

I have the same issue here, I don't know how to fix it, I'm running last cm11, from 0324
win7 or win8.1, same issue
Try putting all your music in one folder and copying them like that. If that doesnt work then upgrade your drivers

I just started having issues with my android phone and the ability to select the USB connection type (Charge, MTP, PTP, etc...)
I was getting the notification fine 10 minutes ago. But now it doesnt appear anymore....
I might have something to do with this issue.
I was trying to move files over to the phone and the file transfer froze and wasnt responding on windows PC.
I unplugged the phone and the transfer screen went away, tried to plug it in again and windows listed it as an unknown device.
Both of my windows PCs are having this problem. The USB cord still works as I have tested it on other devices. I have tried enabling USB debug mode and that didn't help.
My phone boots, all the apps seem to be working fine.
I have a samsung 64 gb micro sd inserted into the phone and it it formatted for marshmallow. (currently using this ROM: [ROM][Lux][XT1563/2] ֍ Marshmallux ֍ Stock based rom 6.0 [MPD24.65-18])

So i figured out its something to do with windows 10.
I plugged my phone into a windows 7 pc i have and it worked as it did before.

A simple restart did the trick.
Wasn't sure why this would help since i was having the issue on two windows 10 devices.
This seems like a really small problem so moderators can choose to delete this if the post is redundant.
When using the stock OOS, I can connect my phone to my computer and the file transfer works just fine. My phone shows up on my computer as normal. However, whenever I'm using a custom ROM (so far all of them have had this problem), file transfer does not work because I can't get my computer to recognize the phone. Debugging is on, and the configuration is also set for file transfer. Oddly enough I can get my computer to recognize the phone if it's in PTP mode, but it immediately dissapears when I select file transfer. I haven't had any luck finding a fix for this.

I am having major usb storage issues.
copying files to phone mostly aborts or gets stuck
the green loading bar on top of windows explorer is running and loading hours when I click on folders. But sometimes it works totally normal
sometimes I get the message that the device stopped working but the phone works well
I have to re-plug the phone many times to copy files
when I try to go back a folder the window sometimes freezes
On my phone everything works fine with the storage.
Also every other device works fine on my computer.
What can it be? What can I do to fix it?
