LagFix - Transformer TF300T General

Last night i found this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2104326
Tried it out on Hydro 7, actually increased read and write speed by a few mb for me. Overall the same, just faster IO speeds. Use androbench before and after and see for yourself.

Tried it too, not worth, better use Seeder

Hi,
This is not the same as Seeder, this app make this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TRIM
I've tested it on a Galaxy SIII (I own a T Prime but can't unlock it), and works very good.

Clean ROM already has this added to the installer.
Sent from my LG-LG855 using Xparent SkyBlue Tapatalk 2

I stopped using CleanROM and switched to CM10.1, but I can't make LagFix work. Does anybody know an alternative for TRIM?

Thor's ROM's

Is anyone using Thor ROM v12? I know many folks use his kernel. Wondering how his ROMs rate before I flash and reinstall everything
Sent from my ADR6300 using XDA App
I have been using them for a while now and they are very fast and stable.
A gun in the hand is better than a cop on the phone.
i use them also and no complaints here.
Do you know if they are hulu enabled? Not a big deal but that's a real plus for Civato's excellent mix ROM
Sent from my ADR6300 using XDA App
Yes they come with no flash reinstalled so you can install a hulufied flash....some games don't work because the build.prop sets the tablet as the eee pad
Sent from my MB860 using XDA App
His roms (including v12) are faster than any of the others I've tried. I really have no idea why that is, but I've definitely got no complaints. Plus v12 is themed to look similar to ICS for Tablets.
Best by far. OCd to 1400 with no reboots, no crashes.
Wonder how long before the lock comes...
I guess I'm the lone dissenting voice here. I tried V11 and I found it to be much laggier than Light speed.
Which overclock governor do you use? Also is 1400 significantly decreasing your battery life? stock is pretty fast.
I installed hulu enabled flash from titanium works great.
So far so good

Yeah, I really like the ICS look he put on v12

I'm using the v12, and it works really well! I didn't know honeycomb could be this good. lol One thing I'm having problem with is that I only have 155~250 mb of free ram. On other roms, with about the same amount of apps installed, and not much open, I have about 350~400 mb free, but this rom is weird.. Any advice please?
hrmmm man i need to stop reading these forums ... got me downloading v12 now to try out!
In the past week i've gone: Stock 3.0.1 -> Lightspeed -> Near Stock 3.2 -> Taboonay -> Lightspeed and now looks like i'll be adding thor to that list too haha.. Getting sick of re-installing apps
Wow! Just installed thor rom v12 and gotta say .. none of the other roms have been this quick & smooth straight off the bat.. haven't installed or changed anything yet, but first impression is good ... app drawer, stock apps, switching home screens, etc seems very fast & smooth..
Thor 12
Wonderful. It is heavier in size to download as compared to light speed but after installing and putting same amount of apks its almost the same size on storage search. Wish they could just put a different skin on the browser.
I like thor rom,i go to testing V12
I also do my ikonia use of either the v12 does not work well but the browser crashes FC. but everything else was perfect thank thor now I'm back on v11
Fastest ROM on the A500. Would be even better if build.prop was for iconia and mot the epad IMO.
Sent from my HTC Sensation Z710e using xda premium
ive been running V12 for the past few days running a 1.6GHZ overclock stable as can be. It runs smooth a butter, I've found my everyday driver.
I have noticed that it eats up battery a bit faster than other Roms but I use setcpu to manage clock speeds and all is well.

In the dev section there is a thread with a custom build prop for V12 that makes the tab an Acer instead of an eeepad at the cost of one or two Asus apps not working.
Want to share your setcpu settings?
Do you have a link to that build.prop? I could not find anything. What's the harm in using the Asus one?

Overclocking

Someone suggested that I start a thread on the current overclocking situation on the TF300 so here it is!
Yes, the stock kernel supports overclocking to 1.5ghz
*Must be rooted
The best option at this point is the ezoverclock tool that is also being used for the TF201. This app allows you to overclock in a matter of seconds for free.
1. Download and install the .apk
.apk can be found on this page along with DrWowe who created the tool for the TF201 be sure to send him a thanks! http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1526311
2. Open the app- allow su permissions
3. Make sure the highest setting is set to 1.6ghz. *note, while it says 1.6ghz you will only achieve 1.5, if you set it to 1.5 you will only obtain 1.4ghz. This is due to the fact that the app was build for the TF201 not the TF300)
4.Reboot- Enjoy your now overclocked Transformer Pad!
The AnTuTu overclock master tool has also been tested and confirmed working. Dimply download the app from the play store, open it and allow su permissions. Then set the settings to you liking. However I was getting slightly lower AnTuTu benchmarks while using this method. Probably because the governors are junk (like most overclocking apps).
I am sure there are other methods that are working but these two seem to be the most popular and best available! If you have anything to add feel free to comment or PM me and I will add it to the post. Happy overclocking!
**I take no credit for creating either of these tools, I am simply making it eaiser and more accessable to other TF300 users. I am also not responsible if your tablet blows up while using either of these tools.
Antutu overclock master tool not needed at all. all that's needed is that EzOverclock app. then also the free app from play store called CPU Spy. this is the true way of confirming whether the overclock it really active or not. as it will show whether its active or inactive.
if you want an app to mess around with governors, scale sliders, etc... the app called System Tuner Pro is the best. they have a free version also which works fine. this app is every system tweak app, speed tweaking rolled into one. alot more in depth than setcpu or that Antutu tool. check it out. tons of stuff to play with in there.

Already used CPU soy to confirm the ezoverclock tool as working as well as sticking though .reboots
I'm using antutu cpu master to underclock the device, I have it on max. 1ghz and min. 102mhz. It seems to spend more time in the lower steppings since I made that change (according to cpuspy). I'm still trying it out, to see if it will work for me and save some battery. I also have ezoverclock, I set balanced on 1ghz no need for higher clock since every game I've played runs great.

I have been using ezoverclock with the lowest setting at 1ghz. I seem to be getting much better battery life then stock this way. If I end up needing more power I simply click the performance button that Asus built in. Seems to be working great! It is a great feeling when you are able to under clock and still have plenty of processing power

It is using more battery, although it does not seem to be a huge difference. If you do not need the overclock simply click on balanced mode to save some power. If you are like me and play hard core games on high detail then turn on performance mode when needed.

Noobie attempting to OC

Im running revolver 4.1.1 with a guevor 2.6.39.4 based V1.1 kernel. for the life of me i cannot get setcpu or antutu to clock me above 1000MHz, or stock clocking. i can get setcpu to give me a further range above 1GHz only if i make a setcpu.txt but the cpu still does not seem to clock above 1GHz even when set to performance.
any suggestions for me?
use voltage control
Still doesnt recognize or allow over 1GHz.
Sent from my Transformer TF101 using Tapatalk 2
Try 22.6 and see if that OCs. If it does, I suspect you may have gotten a bad download and try again.
21.4 didnt work for OC. Neither did 22 which i originally flashed on when i put revolver on my eee. Ill see if i can track down 22.6.
Sent from my Transformer TF101 using Tapatalk 2
Sometimes this setcpu doesn't work at first try. You need to give it root access granted first. And make sure your root is working properly as this one too would give you issue after superuser update or su binary update.

As far as i know su is working. Things like titanium are working perfectly. This isnt the first time ive tried with set cpu, i figured i was probably missing something that was very obvious.

Foxhound ROM 1.6 and Pimp my Rom

I've settled on FH after trying out a few ROMs, and so far so good. I see that one of the apps installed is Pimp My Rom (alpha) and looking through it I saw some tweaks which I would like to use (GPS and lock some programs in memory).
I get the feeling that the options are not "taking" (for the lack of a better word), and even after locking the contacts and phone apps in memory, after using other apps for a while it is clear that the phone app has been killed, as it will take 1-2 seconds to start.
Reading up on PMR, everything suggests that the tweaks should be selected in Aroma during the ROM installation process, which definitely wasn't the case.
How can I apply these tweaks?
Did you inable scripts?
Init.d
Theres a section in pimp my rom this needs done first

aroma is not more used by pimp my rom,as the author stated.. i got problems in my case too, can't lock apps in memory at all..
the author said this
You can try the build.prop way of locking apps in memory : (discovered this one recently, will soon be added to the app)
Code:
sys.keep_app_1=com.package.name.of.desired.locked.app
Here's an example, let's say you want to lock PmR :
Code:
sys.keep_app_1=com.androguide.pimp.my.rom
I enabled init.d and there seems to be some improvement. The other suggestion is a bit beyond my capability at the moment, but I'll get there.
Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 2
Nope, after some use the dialer got closed and took a while to restart when I wanted to make a phone call.
Am I locking the correct process/app in the memory?
Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 2
I had same results with pimp my rom as well as non working build.prop edit.
You could have your own reasons for not using it and that's fine. But just in case you didn't know about it, off topic, Jkay framework + JKay Deluxe app is the sure way of locking (whitelisting) contacts and dialer in cache.
JKAY DELUXE [I9300XXELKC JB 4.1.2]
That looks great! Only reason why I'm not using it is cos I didn't know about it

[KERNEL] StarKissed Kangerade [3.0.86][UNIVERSAL]

This kernel is about customization. It is based on the work done for the Galaxy Nexus to bring as many available options as possible without causing bloat that could weigh down the system. This thread is not directed to the elite few, so there is no need to put on your fancy hat when you enter. Relax and enjoy your device.
The kernel comes in two versions. The first is the standard download, which uses an AnyKernel-style installation method. This is the kernel and modules with no ramdisk included.
The second version, which is labeled "Full" also includes the ramdisk for CM9 / CM10 / AOSP. This version will include things such as permission changes and additions to support extended options available to these ROMs. This will allow features like tethering, KSM, and video playback to be tweaked.

According to Twisted's github, the kernel is still using bcm4329 WiFi, so it should be safe to flash on OTA-based ROMs. However, I'm not 100% certain, so make a backup just in case you have issues.
Twisted, if you're interested, for the most part we're moving towards using evervolv's msm7x30-3.0 since they merged the mecha board and radio files in. It's confirmed to work and uses bcmdhd WiFi.
Thanks for this, but am i missing something, is there a reason there are 7 listed on the goo page?

I don't touch their work anymore. Long story.
I literally just started work on it last night before leaving. It is advertised as AOSP because it's a full package not just the kernel. I was replacing the current ramdisk to add some voltage stuff and calibration but that may change once I finish testing. The wifi drivers haven't been touched but I will be transitioning to a newer hd version from the nexus. I can currently get connection from my house at my car a block away so I think they'll be decent. It's a little extra work but it's better to start fresh with just the basics added, which is why I was originally going to source from santod's but ended up replacing that with nexus source anyway.
Also I did test both netflix and youtube and both work.

Alright, that's cool. It's nice to see you back in action, regardless. The bcmdhd drivers make connecting to WiFi nearly immediate for me, so there's a definite improvement. If you have a package of the kernel that doesn't modify the ramdisk then it should also work on OTA-based Sense ROMs as well. I haven't looked at your commits in-depth, though.
