Flash stock via Odin, then flash Jelly bean - Go to cwm recovery, wipe data and cache and also dalvik, in advanced menu
there is always a delay in the first boot when you flash a custom rom
also dont remove the sd card which has the zip file of your rom
while the boot is going on best of luck on flashing:good:

Make sure you are booting into download mode not recovery:
- power off Your SGY
- wait 30 sec
- Press Vol Down, Home, and Power at the same time
- When (about 5 sec) Warning screen appears, release Volume Down and Power, then (a bit later) Home
- press Vol Up (You'll get Odin mode screen)
At this point you connect your USB cable to the phone and you should see Odin now will have a yellow box saying COM [4] or similar (it doesn't matter so long as it yellow). Odin can now see the phone and you should be able to flash.
Good luck!

flash clockworkmod recovery using adb (device must have USB debugging enabled!)
find a rom, put it on SDcard, boot into recovery, and flash.

glad you got it
how'd you figure it out?
Okay, so I'm not completely new to all of this. I own other android devices and have rooted and flashed them..
However, I recently got the AT&T S4 (SGH-I337), and due to my own fault, I mistakenly clicked on and flashed the wrong kernel to my phone. It will not boot. It just sits with a black screen while it vibrates every 3 seconds, non stop. I cannot enter recovery, nor does any logo appear.
I have only been able to enter the Odin Mode and already attempted to use the stock rom located here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2261573
I have also tried downloading the files from the Sammobile.com website.
Odin goes through the process of flashing the stock rom and successfully finishes the process each time. It still does not boot and only vibrates.
I have also tried Kies; however it says that my SGH-I337 doesn't support initializing.
I truly am at a loss, here. I have been up literally all night searching the forums and various websites. Odin seemed to work for most, and for those that it didn't, they were able to enter recovery to do a reset.
So in short..
Phone only vibrates and doesn't boot or show logo.
I have already flashed the stock rom using odin.
I cannot enter recovery.
I have tried pulling the battery and entering recovery.
Is there anything that can be done at this point, besides taking it to AT&T?
Which kernel did you flash?

I mistakenly downloaded the Ktoonsez kernel for the S3 for Touchwiz JELLYBEAN 4.1.2.
It failed, but hasn't worked since. I did, however, flash the stock kernel with odin, but that still has done nothing, even though it said it was successful.
So does anyone have any idea what can be done? I'm open to suggestions!

Yep Sure Do...
1st If your able to boot to Odin and you see the download screen your not bricked...
Also the window for entering recovery is very short with the keys so continue to try...
1. Do you have a stock or custom recovery?
2. Do you have any back-ups on your SD card?
let me just say I ran into a problem few days back with a similar problem...
Please answer questions and we will get to next step.... DON'T PANIC!!!:good:

I've used odin at least 5 times. Getting into download mode isn't the problem. All i have to do is hold the Volume Down button while it's doing its infinite vibrate ever 3 seconds.

The key is getting into recovery...
Make sure you are using the right key format...
1. Hold Power Volume UP and Center key at the same time
2. when you see the Blue recovery words... split second release power and center key hold volume up for another split second
3. release volume up then hold down again
If you do not go into recovery you missed the window... try again

Okay, well that's the problem. It's only a black screen. No logo or blue letters pop up. I have been into recovery mode several times, so I know what I need to do.. It's just not possible with how the device is currently behaving. As soon as I put the battery in, the phone vibrates after 3 seconds, then repeats every 3 seconds. There is no logo, or lettering. The screen never turns on. The only times the screen turns on is when i enter Download Mode.
once your in recovery...
TWRP breaks up parts of the back-up
Remember in this step you are not trying to restore....
try to install each section of the back-up this will clear your frigged up partition
I do not know which is corrupt so its trial and error...
It will state that the flash was unsuccessful but it does flash enough to clear your corrupt area!!!

Hi guys,
please help, i tried to root my gf phone and it got stuck into bootloop, I rooted it with Iroot and than tried to boot into recovery with ROM manager, and it got stuck on logo with little "!" sign on the top, its just stuck there and nothing I do helps, not even holding power + volume up + home key, guys im desperate, is there a way to save the device, and data on the phone, i still can get into download mode, cheers!
edit: i figured out delete this thread..
Get your stock firmware from sammobile.com (sorry to the Mods for linking a page where you have to register) and flash it through Odin
---------- Post added at 07:00 PM ---------- Previous post was at 06:59 PM ----------
Or you could flash TWRP (http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/software/twrp-twrp-galaxy-core-plus-sm-g350-t3275740) through Odin and restore a Backup of the stock rom (http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...-nandroid-backup-twrp-stock-4-2-2-sm-t3316010)
ATTENTION: Make sure to only restore /system

Download your stock system from sammobile.com and flash it through ODIN. Your files on the internal memory may disappear when doing this.
If it doesn't work afterwards, try the same again with an attached PIT file for the phone:
https://github.com/TimSchumi/pit-files/raw/master/cs02.pit
WARNING: Flashing with an attached .pit file will format your phone. Do it with caution!

I don't know what to call recovery in hindi. Do some digging you will know
I think what he means is, Wipe Cache from Recovery mode.
Recovery mode: Mode used to data reset your device when you forget your login pattern but remember your Gmail details.
1. Switch off your Zenfone Pro M1.
2.Hold down power button+ Volume down button and when the Android logo pops up release the power button and press &hold the volume down button.
3.You will be able to enter the recovery mode
4.In recovery mode there is an option to clear Cache partition.
5.Use volume up&down for navigation and power for confirmation.
I don't know if doing that helps, but I am just assuming this.
Correct me if I am wrong.

first of all, i am a big stupid droid user:silly: THATS WHY (for the first time using snapdragon thats also a reason)
when i am in bootloop, i cant go to the recovery. so, i wait for battery go empty. when its empty. charge it for 1 minutes than go to recovery THEN wipe + flash everything
now, there might be a alternative... but i dont know them as a newbie:silly:

Okay, I see! Well, that's not how you do it. I have been flashing roms for a while now and often end up in a bootloop, in that case all I do is hold the power button until the device turns off, and before it turns on I quickly press and hold the volume up, to get in to the recovery. And it works every single time. See, pressing and holding the power button will restart the device nomatter what. So next time when you encounter a bootloop, just press and hold power+vol up until it restarts.
And about the "not charging" issue, it often seems to be not charging, but if you keep it plugged in for a while, it comes back to life.

I've once faced such situation with my old Titan. Bootlogo used to flash and automatic reboot. What I did was, whenever the phone turned off I pressed volume up and power button and it booted into fastboot. Then I flashed stock ROM via fastboot. But that's not the case here..

oh wow!!! every piece of information looks new and so valueable for me. i will follow it in next bootloop:silly:
hey, got a question tho. --- bootloops means - it will stuck on bootlogo? OR droid will turn off> THEN on> THEN go for bootlogo (and do this continiously?)
@ just press and hold power+vol up until it [email protected] --- explain the proccess with detail please
IN MY CASE --- its usually turned off > pressing 4-5 second for turn on AND when its on, tried button combination for recovery but no results... IT TURNS OFF anyway
@and about the "not charging" issue, it often seems to be not charging, but if you keep it plugged in for a while, it comes back to [email protected] --- yep 100% true
