I have a gt 3113 and im currently running a 4.1.2 custom rom that is for a 3100.
I miss the ir blaster and would like to return to stock, can someone enlighten me on the safest way to do so?
I did not make a backup.

I am in the UK and don't mind putting ICS on my Note but I don't care about Root.
I just want the latest firmware.
Is there an easy way to flash the phone without rooting it or changing the kernel etc? Thanks.
Months ago I flashed my phone (AT&T S4 I337 running MLD baseband) to stock 4.3 ROM (JWR66V). I have TWRP installed as a custom recovery and the phone is working fine. However, I don't have root access when the OS is running. No sure why.
Anyway, I'm bored and there are a few nagging bugs, so want to give Cyanogenmod a shot. My questions for you are.
1) can I just download the appropriate CM release and flash it?
2) Do I need to reroot? If so, whats the best method for me?
If its really risky, I'm not interested. But if it's a matter of just flashing the rom, I'd like to give it a try. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks.
Hey all
As soon as i got my verizon lg g2 phone i flashed a custom rom and since then i have not had working GPS. i have tried a bunch of fixes and nothing works. So it seems i need to flash back to stock and open a GPS app so it can find signal then i can flash to a rom if i desire.
My question is...
Which version should i flash back to? should i flash the kitkat VS98024A_11 or an older and take the OTA? I want to be able to root after i flash back to stock and would like some input on the best process to accomplish this.
Thanks for any help and direction you can provide!
Hi
I am going to root my G2 for the first time. its currently on stock jellybean.
I would like to know if I should root now on jelly bean and install a custom rom or upgrade to stock kitkat first and then root?
if I am going to a kitkat custom rom would it make more sense to upgrade to stock kit kat first or is it easier to root from jellybean?
What are the advantages/disadvantages of either?
Hi
Can anyone advise on the above? I know I should be reading all the forums which I will but was just after a quick general answer so I know where to start from. I'm not new to rooting and flashing roms but I am new to the G2.
Thanks
I would recommend updating to Kit Kat first then rooting using IOroot25. That way you will have the latest radio/modem stuff to use KK Roms
Depends on the ROM. If the dev says you have to have Kitkat modem or other stuff from Kitkat, then update and root with ioroot25. If not, it will be a waste of time, so:
Download anything you need from the new ROM and put all in your phone storage (so that if you accidentally brick you still have files to flash in your SD), root, install recovery (I suggest TWRP) and from there flash your ROM!
What bases and ROMS are you folks running?
Any recommendations on which ROMs you like most?
My AT&T GS4 is on stock rooted MF3 right now. (came from the box with MF3, so I'm only able to Safestrap)
Trying to decide whether to stay Jelly Bean, upgrade to Kit Kat, or upgrade to Lolipop. (And run a Safestrap compatible ROM of course)
So far, I can't seem to find very many Safestrap compatible MF3 ROMS anymore. (I think the only one I was able to find was the Venom one)
On the other hand, it seems like there are many more ROM options with the newer upgrades, but I heard that Safestrap can by finicky with Lolipop? Although I suppose I can always downgrade to Kit Kat from Lolipop. But if I'm understanding correctly, I would never be able to go back to Jelly Bean once I update to Kit Kat.
What do you folks think I should do? Is it worth going to Kit Kat/Lolipop or should I just stay with Jelly Bean and use the Venom ROM?
Thanks!
With a locked bootloader, only TW-based ROMs can be flashed to the AT&T s4.
Yup, there's no going back to JB from LP.
May I ask which ROM(s) is/are your personal favorite(s)?
Trying to decide whether it's worth it to go to Kit Kat or Lolipop.
I do not have the att s4. I have the Canadian version which is the i747m without a locked bootloader; therefore, I am able to use many custom ROMs designed for the snapdragon 615. The note 5 and s6 ports are nice but I am not sure if they can be flashed to the att s4.
