SillyTAO,
Have you tried AVIC Alice? We have a tutorial here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2066185
They have a number of voice options with solid app integration. If you plan to
use AVIC be sure to order the Pro version.

Hi,
I apologise if this is a silly question, I'm new to Android (received my Legend a couple of days ago). I had been under the impression from reading a bit about Android 2.1 on other devices that the search by voice and voice to text parts were integral to the OS. However I saw the following on the HTC website;
Q. How do I search by voice?
This feature is not a default option in the system, however you may go to Android Market to find related applications.

It's not a huge issue for me but I was surprised it wasn't on the phone. Is there something obvious I am missing or is there a way (preferably without rooting) that I can add this functionality; can someone recommend an application to try?
Thanks for your help,
adam

Thanks, I managed to get it working by installing this;
code. google. com /p /voicesearch
Hi,
I’m looking for an “on phone” voicemail recorder. One that plays a recording of a greeting and records the message on the phone. I’m not interested in voicemail services, carrier features, SMS do-flickys or call re-directors.
I have found several programs that do this but they don’t seem to work on the desire (rooted). The last I tested was Airvoice. If it worked, it would be just what I’m looking for.
Does anyone know of an application such as this that will work on the Desire? There have been loads of simmilar requests all over the net yet no dev. has been able to do it. Whats the deal?
Thanks
Chris
Yes, something like Samsung mobiles...
it would be great....

Any News on this topic ??
Does one found a working app to record?
Hi, I've been a loyal windows mobile user for the last 5 years. Iam just wondering is there an app for voice command in android that similar to voice2go in Windows Mobile.
Voice2go is a neat app. It uses your own cuztomize voice for calling up apps or contacts. It is best for me since english is not my language. You just need to record a word and tag it to your desired apps or contacs.
To activate android voice command you need to say "HI GALAXY" while in voice2go you can create cuztom voice like "dude".
I hope I could find the answer here and if there isn't one I just hope that some developers read my post and create one.
I'm not great with credit card so I'm looking for free voice app.
Thks
Hello,
Here's how to set your own wake up word :
Voice Talk > Press the top left question mark > Wake up Voice talk > Change now.

You're not too great with posting in the correct section either!
Try reposting in General or Themes and Apps as they are better suited to your query and you may get a better response.

Dave

Thanks but I'm not in search for a TTS but more a STT. In fact, in jellybean, you already have one. "google voice typing" and in the setting you have different language. I dont want to install an another application, I'd just like to find other language or more french version to ass to it like it is for english: UK, US etc.....
Been looking at ways to add voice commands to my Android TS10 head unit, My last car had a little pad and buttons that was in easy reach but now the system is a little reach.
Having not had much luck with google assistant, I found a program called Toppal. Does anybody use it or heard of it and is it any good.
Here is a link to the site https://toppal.ai/
And here is a video of it in action
I'll follow this thread as my units come with Toppal preinstalled (but only the basic level, you have to pay for upgrade) but to me it's just a nuisance using resources, I've never tried to actually use it and I have asked here if anyone knows how to remove it without causing anything else to fail, but I got no answers.

I use Isudar in my car radio, but since my English is not good, they don't use it much. I would like the Czech language there, and I have not been able to set it as default yet. English only.
