My wizard 200 totally dead now

I updated first time that was fine ..
Again i updated with wrong os ..may i think..
Now not switch on my wizard 200 ..
Here i search for reparing this problem..
Then i got jtag ,,that can help..
But i hav no software for doing this ...
I need some ideas ..which software use for direct flashing the rom..?

possible resuscitation for you wiz 200
I had some bad flashes with my wiz 200 too, a K-jam to be exact
my best guess is dig a bit deeper in the wizard forum
and you find out that there ways to revive it.
1 thing you could try is,
remove your SD-card
get a very bright spot-light so you can see if you phone is working, only the backlight is not activated
press and hold the camera button and press power on, release the power button and you should get a 3 color bar screen.
If it doesn't, search for the MMC restore trick somewhere on this forum
please let us if it worked

Help Unbricking

Bricked my blackstone, cannot charge, cannot turn on or enter bootloader. Wondering if there's anyway to unbrick besides JTAG. Thanks for any help.

have you tried leaving out the battery for a few minutes and then enter bootloader? And how did you brick it?

if you have the bootloader hspl on i find it hard that you managed to brick it, your phone might be damaged. have you tried to charge the battery or replacei t with one with power in and start up?

i let my brother use the phone for a while and somehow it came back to me in this state. I've tried leaving the battery out overnight, charging with original cable, zapping the battery with 9v & exposed USB, and also buying a new battery.

I think your the phone is totally dead if there is no charging LED light and the phone will not turn on.

i had a similar problem..
there is no charging taking place, no screen display, but if u hold the power key long enough u get a vibration nd then the boot up sound but nothing on screen. leave it that way and after sometime screen starts workin..
found that the problem is something related to "microp error" which is strangely neither a hardware error nor a software error. some people reported that a complete disassembly and reassembly resolved their problem but tht too did not work in my case..
htc said they needed to replace the motherboard, but m outta warranty so m not getting it done.

Thanks for all the input, it's pretty clear that the phone is dead and since i'm out of warranty i will be having the motherboard replaces. I guess you'll see a thread in marketplace for my hd as parts...

Unfortunatly , the same problem occured to me 2 days ago :/ .. the phone was working great , i just removed an application , installed another one and played the monopoly game for like 2 hours . when i finished playing i locked the phone.. tried to unlock it again , the screen didnt work , i tried charging it , the LED didnt work , i removed the battery, restarted the phone .. i heard the login sound but the screen didnt work too.
However, 4-5 hours later i gave it another try ... everything worked fine .. but the same problem occured when i locked it
I am not out of warranty date .. but am pretty sure they will remove my warranty when they find out that i used that permenant spl thingy + a cooked rom
and since an old nokia 7710 Motherboard costs 1700 ep in egypt ( $ 310 ) i cant afford to change the HDs one
anyway, as a last try ... is there anything i can do if i manage to open the phone again? change the rom maybe? oh .. and btw can i change the HSPL back to the stock one + installing a stock rom? maybe then they wouldnt cancel my warranty
oh and whats JTAG ?

First of All change the HSPL back to the stock one and after installing a stock ROM i am sure your problem will solved.

So. I take it there is no way to unbrick this...

I was on the phone with T-Mobile and the woman on the other end either had no idea what I was talking about or, she really did. Her probing questions were perfect and she understood everything I was saying...but the only thing she could think of doing was stripping down the phone, have just the battery, and then press and hold VOL UP+DOWN and Power till the Samsung Vibrant screen came on.
I would have a picture for you, but looks like the forum doesn't allow 'new' members to post. Too bad lurker time can;t be counted toward any of it.
Anyway, the best description of what on my screen:
It has a cellphone on the left, a computer on the right, connecting dots and an orange triangle with an exclamation point. It's all int he middle of the screen.
Best part of this is: I did nothing to the phone. i only downloaded some games and a backup program I can't remember the name. Phone was still locked. I'm not venturing into doing anything like that till i have the money to buy another in a worst case scenario.
So...any ideas?

Add insurance in case you mess anything up. You have 14 days...
That doesn't sound like it's bricked but you didn't tell us anything...
That's the recovery screen, but I'm not sure what you are trying to accomplish...

try to reboot the phone into recovery mode and wipe the phone.

I've tried rebooting to recovery mode.
As for not telling the forum anythng; I'm sorry. I left one detail out:
I downloaded a free application, it's a backup program. I don't remember the name of it (this is my first droid phone, big step up from your standard flip phone with a 6 color screen). I left it running a backup of all the photos and 3gp videos I put on the SD card. Fell asleep, woke up 6 hours later....
BOOM.
I did tell you everything, as in I have no desire to hack/crack/jailbreak/spook/circumvent/customer-os/firmware-flash this phone. I only wanted to charge it after playing with it for a while.
I've tried several of the volume button and power button resets, with/without SD card and SIM. I even tried doing it without the battery in the phone plugged into the USB port.
6 hours of internet browseing and reading and trying these different things, and still nowhere close to an answer form T-Mobile than I need the phone replaced.
I can't easily do it, because I have to send the phone in, wait for a 'credit' to hit my account and order another phone, all the while my service is going to stay active because I am on a Flexpay account.
I love the phone. But it's this kind of thing that has made e stay with your standard, low-tech flip phone from Tracfone. This wouldn't be such a big headache of the cellular antenna in that Tracfone was working. It's lasted me almost 4 years.
Anyway. Is there a program that forces a connection to the phone, kinda says "HEY! you are connected to a computer, now do your stuff!"??
Is there a button combination to make it look for a recovery image ont he SD card like when I would flash my OLD Dell Axim X50??? Noone seems to know alot about this phone yet.

YAY! It worked. Just add a colon after http and get rid of the spaces.

Of course you know that if this we're happening to you on postpaid, they'd swap your phones out with no inbetween phone time. Your local T-Mobile store might also have loaner phone for you.

probably a cheap flip phone. I was forced to get Flexpay. I guess the last 7 years f ontime, in-full payments to anything hasn't fixed my credit at all. That would explain Verizon's want of a $400 security deposit.

So... I've been doing some research. If Odin can be used to reflash the stock firmwares onto the phone...and if this phone uses an SD card (only say this because windows recognized the internal storage as an SD card) and if one of the other Samsung Android phones when taken apart , had a SD slot for the internal storage (looks like you can actually easily replace the SD card) then what if I took apart the phone, removed the SD card and formated and partitioned it on my computer through my card reader...
These are all just educated guesses. I mean... it looks like my phone has no idea what to do because maybe the SD card is bad or something, unbeknownst to me, reformatted the card improperly.
I posed this same question to Samsung and have yet to hear from them.
What do you guys think? Anyone actually crack open their phones yet?

It seems to me that your options are limited.
I'd say you should root it and see if that gives you more options, but I don't know how feasible that will be for you to do at present.

So Samsung isn't willing to let go of any other information on this or even extrapolate on the idea of reflashing.
Again, it looks like there is no internal storage with a bootloader to tell the phone what to do.

i see 1 solution
when i bought my vibrant they told me i have 14 days to return or exchange the phone if there is any issues with it the phone came out on the 15th i think so you still have 6 days to take it in show them the problem and they can swap you out with a new vibrant

When i got my first g1, I rooted it and tried to flash a rom. I bricked it! I called Tmo,I said it froze and wouldn't boot up. They walked me through troubleshooting(of course nothing worked) and said it was software and sent me a brand new one it was only 2 wks old. Maybe an idea for ya.

If you are with in your return period(30 days California, 14 everywhere else) I would take it back and get a new one instead of trying to fix it.

Why trying to fix it yourself? Bring it back to a t-mobile store and exchange for a new one.

I've bricked my G1 few times. t-mobile has always exchange it for me during the first year.

i know what your phone has theres a cure but you will most likely have to root it then return it back to stock look under the ms guru section for returning your phone to stock it should help you but then you need to do a restore with the nandroid backup to be completely stock. you'll have to put your phone into download mode hold both volume buttons and power let it do the vibrant screen twice then let go of power and still hold the volume buttons you should be in download mode proceed with the other things from there meaning ms guru and using odin

If you are having the problem I think you are, you should be able, if the software is compatible with Vibrant because I don't know if it is, to restore it with the Odin software or at least thorough a far more complicated process using adb. Check this thread, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=731989, and see if you are having a similar problem.

I wanted to let you know I had this same issue and I was still able to get into download mode with the same method described in the earlier post:
1:with phone off hold down volume up and volume down buttons- keeps buttons held
2ress and hold power on button
3:when the screen with the computer and cellphone on it appear for the second time wait for it to disappear
4:when it disappears wait for 1 second a let only power button go and you will be in download mode(android with shovel\big yellow triangle) and you can flash with Odin.
I tried this 5 or 6 times before I got it right but in the end I was able to get back to stock ROM and phone was brand new. Hope this helps.

Are you sure we're talking "rooting" here?
From the symptoms it sounds more like you attempted a boot loader unlock on a device that's past 11W29 and hard bricked it...
Q: If you connect the phone to the charger, does it show the battery symbol with the "flash" above it? Does the green LED light up?
If yes: Battery almost empty. Charge it up.
If no: No way we're talking "I rooted my phone" here - in that case you attempted a boot loader unlock that went wrong.

Yoo man, update your phone again with SE PC COMPANION to 2.1 and hold back button to connect- green led light, when is your phone turned off!

the things now is seriously !
i took out the battery for one hour and nothing again i tried to charge it nothing again i tried with flashtool again nothing plz i just give 90$ for x10 so plz give me a solution with no money plz

If these things don't work, you have a $90 paperweight on your hands.

Since you already searched for a repair possibility I think the talk about "I rooted my phone and suddenly it won't turn on anymore" is off the table and should be taken as "I unlocked my boot loader without checking the forums and hard bricked it now".
Anyhow, I don't think you'll have much luck asking for someone having a RIFFBox around here in the X8 area - the average age of the guys in here is 16-18 at best.
If you think you're better off trying to find someone who could take a stab at trying to resurrect the phone I'd rather put a post into a fitting sub board at the "General discussion" section.
The best option would be to send it off to SE, given you should still have warranty (though no one can guarantee that they will repair it for free).

Like: "It suddenly doesn't work anymore."
IF it's a hard brick due to boot loader unlocking the chances are pretty slim they will notice what you did.
If it's some sudden hardware problem (and you didn't mess around with the boot loader) - same recommendation - send it to SE for repair.
Of course you could also try to handle the repair through the shop where you bought the phone in case you have no means to send it directly to SE.

Exactly pauk1998, chill. I mean tge phone's dead right ? How are they to proove you tried to unlock bl ? As far as i know, all evidence was destroyed with the hard brick. If its still very new, like less than a month, i think SE wont bother repairing it and just give you a new one

Of course there is.
Depending on where you bought it, they'll plug it into a computer and see that you tried to mod the phone, at which point they'll say that your warranty is void.
Unless you bought it from a store full of idiots. Then they might just take it back, no questions asked.

Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 ( 6 GB ) ( Rebooting unstoppable) Please Read and Help me !!!

I have Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 ( Unrooted 6GB) bought 3 - 4 months ago ,
i was using it yesterday afternoon , after couple of hours i thought to Put phone on charge it was 36% , But when i pickup my phone it was restarting . i was confused , when booted up after 2 mins use then restarted again , i noticed little bit lag becasue i was googling the possible reason of unexpected Reboot.
then it kept restarting after every 4 to 5 mins of use , i thought its the button so i open the case but everything looked fine . then it started to reboot right after bootup , i thought its a virus , i was able to wipe data and reset 2 times , but still same rebooting issue , now i carefully checked my phone buttons , everything like new , and i take care of my phone very well . I AM VERY SURE BUTTONS ARE FINE , but phone is behaving like power button is being pressed whole time .
things got worse i woke up midnight i looked at my phone still stuck on restart continuously, and next reboot it booted up for couple of secs and showed me pattren lock but called emergency number ( Emergency Call Button Under Pattren) , i was not able to cut the call but i keep trying then again re boot , i didnt sleep because of this phone vibrating rebooting and sometimes calling EMERGENCY service even when i removed sim and SD card , i can't remove battery so i let it keep rebooting, now battery died .
guys i am sorry for this long description but i am in big problem and stress . i am youtube lover and some social media , games like pubg sometimes . my phones is rebooting even if i go Boot Menu , after many tries i was able to reset once , but same issue ,
Please help me , waiting for replies i am online , any more questions please ask i will try to reply as soon as possible , i dont know rooting or custom roms . i never did , Please Guide me to go threw this mess . I SHALL BE VERY THANKFUL FOR THIS .

Sounds like power button contacts have shorted out somehow, though very less likely. Better go to a service centre instead of wrecking your brain over something which you probably can't fix.

I'm not too sure about what exactly had happened to your phone. I can't say much if I don't see it myself. This is a very uncommon and peculiar problem because modern phones are less vulnerable to viruses. So it might just be a fault unit which you have received.

Ok i will plan to send it back to India . I bought this phone from Indian Website because this model wasn't available here in Canada.
When my friend ordered it . He told me about 99 RS extra for some kind of protection . I said pay that as well . I have the original bill . My friend have copy of that ask well.
Any idea where it will get repaired ? I mean send it back to FLipkart ? Or Asus customer service ?

try to get a replacement. Since you said you bought this phone 4 months ago you might not be able to exchange it. Other option is getting it fixed at an asus service centre and they may do it for free because it's still under warranty.
