Backordered through Premier

Just placed my order through premier earlier and then got an email 3.5 hours later saying that they are backordered...

I haven't gotten my confirmation email yet from an order I placed about four hours ago, but the Premier website shows that I have an order in progress (with no details).

Man, that didn't take long!

Yep I just heard they are out. I don't have an ETA when at&t will get more but I will post something as soon as I hear it.

I got the last one from my local ATT store, but they only had 3 total.

I got one from an AT&T store and they said they had plenty left, I guess it just depends what area you're in...

When I showed up to get mine Sunday they hadn't even put it out yet. Lol

Yeah, I was the only one so far to buy it from the RadioShack I work at, they have quite a few in the back (they haven't even made a dummy phone available for the store).

Same here. I've also been trying to call the premier number and haven't been able to get through to talk to anyone. I just want an approximate date...

I got through (took about 30 minutes). They said that it would either ship the end of this week or beginning of next. I cancelled my order -- maybe I'll get the nexus one instead, and risk the wrath of my wife.
What do y'alls think? I like the small form factor of the aria, and the price is right, but ... nexus one!

or amazon, newegg, dell, or tigerdirect. all of which have it cheaper unless you have a really good FAN discount

Yeah Newegg (Simplexity) is best price around, no FAN req'd. Ordered Sunday night, receiving 2 Arias in the mail Wednesday.
If you want to pick it up in person and actually want to PAY for the phone, go to Costco. Best in-store price, better than Best Buy.

newegg and letstalk.com both have the Aria for free right now

Just an update:
I was finally able to get through to premier yesterday, all of the other times I tried it just said to try again later. The person I talked to said that it was too late to cancel the order.
Today, I just got an email saying that my phone has shipped. Now, it's time to wait for the fedex man to arrive @ my house...

I had ordered one for my wife through premier store on monday night and it came as back ordered too. I canceled and went to my local store where they then gave it to me for $229 and $100 in free accessories. The premier store wanted $318.99... I'm glad it was on back order or I would have paid the $318.99 amount. Its no nexus, but it sure holds its own. And, apps that aren't in the app store can be installed via bump. We put shapewriter on hers last night from my nexus and it worked perfectly (shapewriter is not in app store).

Mine finally shipped...just in time for the weekend and I doubt they sprung for Saturday delivery. So tomorrow I am going to call the FedEx depot and beg for them to let me pick it up.

Ordered mine today over the phone with premier. It has been processed and shipped already. So they obviously have them in the warehouse. Good luck guys

Where are you getting your multimedia Dock from?

Anyone know what time this bad boy is going on sale or the landing page for the pre order. I keep looking. But no luck.
Also i haven't seen much mention of being able to buy the multi media dock buy it self. Have you?

It's already listed on their website (10:40pm central time here), I already put in my preorder, all the accessories are available to order as well.

It's on the public website but it's not on the Premier website...And there's absolutely no way in hell I am ordering unless I can do it through the Premier side of things, because I'm not paying activation or any of those other ridiculous fees and I'm not waiting multiple billing cycles for my discounts to kick in.

That shop is legit. I've bought from their physical store before.

I am wondering if i pre-order it if the price will jump up after release to the same 129.99 as AT&T wants. Cause that be crazy!

That's not for just the dock. The price for just the dock was 60.

On AT&T? Maybe I misread it. But I saw 129 multimedia dock and 189 with bt mouse and kb

What does this do for you? You can now call your local costco and ask them if they have that item on order. As of right now they are saying no free case in store. Yes this item number is different then online, it always is.

Unless Costco doesn't have any presence in your state, you'll have to pay sales tax regardless of where it ships from. And they'll charge your tax based on your shipping address.

I was at the Chino Hills, CA Costco yesterday. The guy said they have the XOOM WIFI on a pallet in back already and can't bring it out until March 27th. Not sure if he was confused with 3G version or not, but that is what I was told.

Just picked up my Xoom from my local Costco warehouse. I got there when they opened. Nothing in the aisle display or on the actual box indicated that it would come with the free gel case, so I asked the person in merchandise pickup. They said I could open the box to see if it was inside it, and sure enough it was.

Our costco says free gel case on the sign and has price of 589. They had a large display with demo. Not many sold at our costco in NJ, maybe 4 or so at noon time.
I picked one up to try it out and see if it can do everything I need it to do.
The case is in the box under everything and is black. There is an insert that says thank you your free accessory is included.

Picked up the xoom wifi from my local costco store. Looks like they have plenty in stock and the free gel case comes with the box.
Staples also had in stock, but best buy was sold out. Wondering if best buy has fewer stock or they are selling really fast

Probably more people aware of going to BestBuy to pick it up, and fewer people who have a Costco membership who will actually want one of these.

Today Costco had 20-30 cards to take to the register.
Yesterday one Staples store said they would have 4 in stock today.
Today one Best Buy store said they got 2 for today.
Honestly, Best Buy having two is not surprising at all. Three of them around me have their Xoom 3G tucked away toward the back, whereas the iPad and everything Apple has its own kiosk. Obvious partnership much?

unfortunately its the locked bootloader one, now i am deliberating wether to keep it or return it , i already have an unlocked bootloader one which is still within the return period, decisions decisions .

Best Buy. Long story but they really wanted me to buy a tablet there. Employees came from all around with discounts for me at check out. There was an actual line of employees with printed skews in their hands, each one adding a new discount. I was still in disbelief when I got home. Like I said, Just for fun I might stop by and have a go. I'm sure they need some kind of entertainment around there.
Oh yeah, the funny part was when the all got through with their discounts another guy walked up typed something in, while another dropped his jaw and said, "Did you just give him a $100 off without a managers aproval, how did you do that?" He just smiled and walked away. Everyone gets luck once in a while.

The tech guy in the store said they got 3 of them in yesterday and 1 person bought one late last night and the 2nd one was purchased 5 minutes before me and I got the last one. While he and I were talking 2 more people walked up asking for them and were told they were sold out. He said each store only got 2 or 3 of them.
They did have the Xoom, Playbook and Iconia in stock. The Iconia was quite tempting for $299!!! I also wouldn't have minded getting a Xoom for $399 to goof off with. This new Tab is for my son as I already have one myself. I wish they had the 32gb versions in the store but they said that model is only available online. Staples is also running a special for 15% off any tablet accessories when purchasing a tablet but they no Tab accessories in stock yet. The guy said they haven't received their end cap for the Tab which usually comes with the accessories shipment. He said he would honor the 15% offer once they receive their accessories so I'm going to check back periodically. Checking stock on their website shows other stores in the area have Tabs as well but the guy said it can take up to 24 hours for the online stock checker to update so with the rush of buyers looking for them with the coupon deal I suspect they'll all be gone very quickly. FYI, they are selling the metallic gray version (not the white). The website doesn't give any indication of color...

Depending on your tax, I got mine for $430 after tax and coupon.

Tried a few Staples in DC metro area. Some don't have any. One store that do have in stock can't make the coupon work. Finally found one store that the manager knows about the coupon and offered to order one for me from Kiosk and pay at the register to use the coupon w/o any problem. I'll pick the tab up this Firday. $420 with tax.

Well, I was on a fence because of luck of Netflix. But now Netflix is sorted out and I've got 16Gb for 400 bucks plus tax from staples.

Got mine from staples 424.99 16gb when to four stores and the last store had 3 left also most stores don't have them on display

I picked up my Galaxy 10.1 at Staples today. I noticed that they didn't have any on display, but there were Xooms, Acers, Blackberries, etc. When I asked them why, they said that yesterday somebody tried to walk off with the display model, so they took it off display. Seems to me that he could have tried to walk off with any of them, so why remove just one?
Anyway, another guy said they had gotten their shipment in on Sunday (3 days ago), and I was the first to buy one. He said the store is getting many returns on tablets, because people buy them thinking they are laptops -- minus the keyboards. I assured him that I was familiar with the android system, owning a rooted Nook.
I am happy with the Samsung so far, but Honeycomb is a little bigger learning curve over Android 2.3. But my buddy at work has a Xoom, so I'll be picking his brain over the next couple of weeks.

seems in my area the Transformer is only available online, not at retail stores, still gona have to go in and take a peek, $100USD off worth a little leg work since coupon looks like its only good for "in store" sales, not online.

What a scam! The Staples near me said Transformer is online only and not sold in stores.

Supposedly you have to go into the Store, use a Kiosk, and say "Pay Here" (at the store). They ring you out IN the store where you can use the coupon.
You can't order it online for the coupon.

Problem is when I go to staples.com they are sold out and have been sold out of the 16GB model.
I don't think I'll be able to order it at an online kiosk in stores either. I think the best bet is to try to price match at Walmart or OfficeDepot.
All 15+ Walmarts in my area are out of stock too though unfortunately. I wonder if it's possible to do an online purchase in store and apply a price match.

What your local Staples have said is true and not a scam. It is only available online to buy. I know this because I bought one last week from Staples (ordered from kiosk from online, paid in-store, delivered to house).

I heard Office Depots accept this coupon.

Does this possibly mean you can "order" the unit in the retail store, pay for it then/there and pick it up when it comes in --possibly, do you know? If so, I can work that option

I can confirm that Office Depot will take the coupon (at least here in Houston) just got a second 32Gig less than an hour ago, but they don't even stock the dock, so I guess I be lookin' to get one from Newegg.

Aww man.. Of course this would happen a week after I got mine :/

Also got mine from Office Depot as they honored the coupon.
However, slickdeal users have been noting that a memo has been issues to managers that they shouldn't be honoring the coupon anymore unless you can provide a staples store that has the item in stock as well in the local area.

I also got mine at Office Depot. They also had one dock in stock but not sure if I want the dock yet. After taxes it was like 322 which is a steal IMO.

I owe you. I already have a 32GB TF with dock bought from TigerDirect but I just bought a Xoom at Best Buy 9 days ago when the price dropped to $499.00. I took your coupon into Best Buy and asked them if they could do anything for me on this recent Xoom purchase and they handed me $106.65 in cash. My Xoom cost me $399.99! Awesome! Like I said, I owe you for bringing attention to this deal in our forum! Thanks!

I price matched the Staples $100 at Office Depot and it worked. They had to call Staples to confirm the coupon was valid and then they had to get a district manager to approve it.

They did not have the TF so I pick up the galaxy tab 10.1 for 424.99 thanks for the coupon
