Hi. So i've got an issue with my galaxy s4 9505. I cant get into recovery just download mode, and when i try to use odin to flash a firmware custom or stock or kernel it doesnt pass the( NAND write start) and i get the FAIL message. I forgot to tell you that when the phone is not in the download mode it shows on the main screen the following message( Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies and try again.) and it doesnt turn off. What can i do??? Please help.

KIES running in background as process?
Tried another USB cable?
Tried to use another USB slot?
In order to turn it off ... did you try to push Powerbutton and hold it pressed until re-boot?
BTW what did you do to get into this situation?

Try flashing a Stock ROM with ODIN
PS: Give more informations please
hi
Thank you for your quick reply. Fortunately i've resolved the issue. Indeed i've flashed a stock rooted rom(XXBMEA) and it worked. Unfortunately my goal was to flash the new Omega v5.0 rom but it looks like i cant flash the new TWRP 2.5.0 kernel. I can flash it successfuly but nothing happens. Can you please help me in this sittuation. At this momment Im using the XXBMEA stock rooted rom with the wifi and data fully working. So i think i could flash at any momment the Omega rom if i could flash a working TWRP or any other way if u know. Please help me.

Your phone has custom recovery installed? E.g CWM or TWRP?
If not, install it by using PC Odin.
Then go to recovery mode by simultaneously holding the combination: Vol Up + Home + power button.
here you can select Flash zip file

Guys a little help pls.
Using sm900 f version with BNL7 lollipop update. i v been trying to install CWM or TWRP recovery mode whole day but i cant get it up.
Every time i do it and reboot phone into recovery i get stock recovery mode.
Help pls.
thanks
I suppose you are flashing with ODIN, right?
In such case, uncheck the auto reboot option while flashing your preferred recovery, then flash it, and finally force the phone into recovery mode

Please could you detail describe how you used that .zip file on ODIN, I cant even select it as it is a file .zip to be used under custom recovery flashing not under Odin but me too I cant get our of stock recovery as Odin Fails to flash and soft bricks the phone every time...
Could you send me the odin version used or steps made please.
@soulless angel
Sure gonna do it when i come home.
Meanwhile u can download cwm 6.0.4.7 and use odin 3.09.
Untick autoreboot , flash it, pull out battery then force it in download mode with menu + volume up + power. I managed like that cuz i m more used to cwm.

Hi
i tried flashing both recoveries but none of them showing up my grand2 always end up in stock recovery.
does this has anything to do with qualcom secure: enable ?
there are no errors while flashing through odin
try flashing cf auto root first.
i had the same prblm in 1 of the grand 2 updates the custom recovery wouldn't show so then i flashed cf first and then the recovery

Download Repair Firmware and flash it via odin.
It works.
If that fails get marshmallow or nougat stock and go into download mode. Flash it with Odin. You will be back at stock and have to redo root and recovery.

This reminds me of my PSP 3004 I broke it the same way trying to change the bootanimation, but sadly it doesn't have Odin mode so is still stuck in my drawer... Next time make a full nandroid backup before trying it, then you can flash stock rom via odin, flash twrp via odin and restore your settings from before.
