Bootloader "relocked" or "locked"? - Nexus 7 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have looked but can't find an answer. Sorry if this has been posted before.
When re-locking the bootloader on the N7, to send in for repairs, does the bootloader say "relocked" or "locked"? If "relocked" can a stock bootloader be flashed to revert to "locked"? I have an HTC Amaze and flashing a stock bootloader and recovery is the only way for it to say "locked" as to not void the warranty. Thanks in advance for the help.

Im pretty sure it would say LOCKED, never tried myself

I'm not sure I understand entirely what you're asking, but from what I've read you would need a bootloader that was not locked and had been signed with a key that your current bootloader will accept. Do you have one?
I think he means the following:
IF our bootloader wasn't locked and he would flash a custom ROM but wanted to return to the stock one, if he can flash his stock bootloader back to prevent bricks in the future.

Relock bootloader

Just wondering if anyone knows if it is possible to relock my bootloader and get everything back to stock standard?

[Q] re-block the unlocker

On the atrix I don't want it unlocked anymore the bootloader so how can it be locked again?
It can't, once unlocked always unlocked. Only thing you can do is flash an sbf to "hide" the unlock text but that is not recommended.

I believe a fuse is burned once you unlock the bootloader and the process is irreversible. Sorry

I had to return my atrix to warenty due to the digitizer. I just pluged my atrix up an ran the software updter from motos website. It remov3d the unlock from my device. It is actually simple to do

I did the same thing this week and sent my phone back to att for a warranty replacement.
That doesn't actually "relock" the device. It just removes the unlocked sign at boot.

CWM with locked bootloader?

Hey guys,
I just bought the nexus 4 from a guy and its working awesome. The only "problem" I have is that the guy before me was playing around with the nexus. And now I have a locked bootloader, no SU binaries/root but CWM?? Is it possible to have CWM with a locked bootloader?
Anyways, i dont want to play around with it because the original store that sold this nexus will blame me for playing around with it if something actually happens.
So can i update it to key lime pie when it comes out without any problems?? Or can i remove CWM without unlocking the bootloader(i have alot of apps)?
Thanks

You can flash a ROM and then relock the bootloader. Just unlock it and start again
Nevermind

It's better to go back to 100% stock so you know exactly what's been done
You can always use this if you're rooted. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.segv11.bootunlocker

Unlocked Bootloader/Not rooted

This may be a dumb question, but on my nexus 10 I have an unlocked bootloader but not rooted. Will the unlocked bootloader keep me from receiving ota updates?
Asking because as all of us, I am waiting for 4.3 but if my unlocked bl is preventing it, I would like to relock to get it or flash the image from a download.
Let me know if the unlocked bl is preventing otas.
Thanks.
