Hi,
i have problems with my 2 months old tablet.
First big problem is that i cant install certain apps, its random
when i download and it try to install from market it says "cant install the software on to the standard installation place" its translated from swedish, im no expert on english.
But when i install from the pjone it just say that it couldnt be installed.
Some apps that i had i could use but if i unistalled them and try to install it didnt work.
Second problem is that i cant find system files, when i go to "my files"
i know im on internal sd and there is a folder named "external_sd" dunno howmuch space but i cant move so mcu into it.
Need to take away music.apkbut cant find it with a file explorer app that shows hidden files.
3th problem i have is not so big, but since a unistalled several apps its hmm how can i describe it, you have the app place where all apps are, its 20 on each page but now its 12 on one and. 7 on another and 19 and 16 etc, thr apps is gone but it hasnt been organised so its 20 on each page.
And 4th are more of a question, why does message shows up on "active programs"
it should exit when you leave it like phone and other integrated apps.
im using the minicmrom , it seems i cant install any 3rd party apps from my sd card , when i click on the apk file and press install , it will load for awhile then it will say application not installed , but apps from market install just fine , anyone know anyway to overcome this ?
This error "application not installed" come up when you already have the app installed and you are trying to install an older version of it (market dont give you older versions).
So are you sure you are not trying to downgrade an app?
nope , im trying to install dillo hill , when i try to install it , it goes through the load screen for installing apps , then instead of saying application successfully installed it says unable to install
That game requires Adobe Flash, our x8 cant run it becuase it has arm6 processor.
P.S It requires some other Adobe stuff.(I think Adobe Director or something)
Hello, so il get right to the point
I cant update any of the google apps.
When trying to update Google music app, it gives me the "package file was not signed correctly.Uninstall the previous Copy if the app and try again."
now, this problem also accurs with other google apps sutch as maps, calendar etc.
deleting the cache and then trying to update the app doesnt work either.
i also use google Keep alot.i installed the app and it says. "This app won't run unless you update Google Play Services." Ok, fine so i try to update Play services and Behold, the same error occurs, giving me the annoying "package file was not signed correctly.Uninstall the previous Copy if the app and try again." Error yet again.
i tried manually downloading the android play store apk. and installing a new version, but then it gives me this error "An existing package by the same name with a conflicting signature is already installed".
Deleting the cache and disabling the app and THEN trying to install it wont work either.
Im using Nexus 4 with 4.2.1
I haven't rooted it, no roms.
And the best part!I got this phone 2 months ago, then the problem occured, then i gave it back to the provider (thanks to the warranty), i got it back today and the problem still occurs. What they did, was "reinstalled android on the phone".
So please, anyone, im about to drop the phone in the toilet if this problem does not get fixed.
I wont risk on "installing a custom rom" on the phone, i almost bricked my last LG GT540 Optimus.
i used it all the times,so is it healthy?
am on lollipop so how can i return to dalvik ?
why some app when i insall it show error parsing the package ?
N910H lollipop
thanks
1) You can replace the battery pretty easily, if it doesn't work anymore.
2) Downgrade to KitKat
3) Don't know.

Have a look at this thread and give the solution a try - not sure if it's the same problem though :/

hi,
Normally when getting "parsing error" it could be various reasons. Eg. i got parsing error if i tried to install an app that was not optimised. for certain Android version.. . eg if you are on Android v4.4.4 and tried to install an app that is optimised eg.. v 5.0.1 Lollipop you can get parsing error.
Also if app is corrupted when downloading.
There can be quite a few, other reasons also..."corrupted" os.. freezing /deleting wrong system apps..(knock on effect) . when downloading . . etc etc
good luck

hi ,
it seems that you do not understand what i was trying to explain in my post above .re "parsing error "?
I will give you example. eg.....
if you are on Android v3.x.x (Honeycomb ) and want to install eg Nova home launcher it will /should give you a "parsing error " as Nova is optimised to work only with Android v4.x.x( Icecream sandwich ) and above.( i don't know if this has since changed )
eg no 2..
another example is if you are on Android 4..4.4(Kitkat ) and want to install an app Toggle Network it should give you a "parsing error " as it only works with Android v 5.x.x (Lollipop) and above .( you also need root etc )
I am not " talking " about apps that Play store states that it is not available for you Region /or optimsed to work etc . for you paticullar device (you have eg ..a Note 4 and its only optimised to work on eg Sony Xperia )
.Yes i have sideloaded such apps and found some working.
Also ,i stated that there could be various other reasons that you could be getting "parsing errors ."
eg Xposed module ........
you have Xposed module installed and "sometimes " if Xposed "breaks something " you could get this
Xposed( together with wrong version Play services ) has ...on /off caused plenty of problems( for me ) with Play store apps installations !! eg Apps would show "downloading and downloading " and never install on my device....then the app is only 3/4 megabytes in size ! I had to fix this by uninstalling Xposed , reflashing my Rom !( yes ,i know there are other "fixes/patches " that also work for Xposed module )
This has happened( with me in the past Android v 4.4.4 ) with Xposed module ,even after uninstalling it !!
that Xposed module or other modules installed ..... has /."can " break/cause a lot of problems !
Hope you get my point/understand better ?
............................
Bottom line ......Play services ..(wrong version on device )
i would say since you are on Lollipop the most obvious reason could be ,, that wrong version Play Services is still installed and causing your problem !!!!!!
To fix you have to install "upgraded version " of Play services
i had to do this when i flashed Lollipop ( so had other XDA members here )
good luck

hi ,
First you give very little info about your device ?
are you rooted , what Rom (stock Rom Android v 4.4.4 /5.0.1 ) etc ?
One issue i had ( Lollipop v 5.0.1 ) with APK's not installing, was not correct Play Services apk installed ( not the Play store apk )What i did was to check and see if i updated/correct version Google Play services ( apk ) as this can cause issues .( i Google around ..searched XDA to see what correct version was etc ) Did this and sorted problem .
Another issue i had when Apk'S not installing, was Xposed module causing errors .
When i had this error ( unable to install apk ) was way back, when i was still on Android v 4.4.4 and using Xposed framework .I am not sure if it was Xposed or an module of Xposed ,( i was using) .I solved it by uninstalling Xposed (which really only helped a little )The problem with Xposed is that it caused a lot of "problems/errors " when installed and even afterwards ,when uninstalled, as it can " break " certain functions on your device ( This is my experience )
I just factory resetted my device , but this did not help also ..so i flashed my device (then) current Rom) and managed to sort it out .
Good luck
I have similar issue with my note 4 5.0.1 ican't install asphalt 8 and minion rash togeahter !!!! if I install one of them the 1st one work correctly but 2nd can't install and give me error
