Maybe i'm stupid, but I don't get the point what you want to say...?
Can a mod lock/close this thread?
I don't see a point in this thread as it have been know for a long time how to get in to download mode.

I guess the 5 Galaxy S that you tested do have a proper bootloader.
Your steps of 3 button are exactly what everyone uses to access download mode.
For those without 3 button recovery, you can press all day long and nothing happens.

Hail you, this is far beyond magic!!! Can you tell how you just found out? You must be Samsung employee or something...
P.s.: sorry forgot the sarcasm tags...
Edit: can you see the double sarcasm in that? Lol
access download mode in without 3br fix
I mean if you have galaxy s i9000 without 3br.
Is what you can still have access to download mode without flashing a new bootloader.
You didn't get it. Not all device have broken 3br feature.
I think that he want to tell us, that you need to pressing those buttons and not just hold them. Pressing 3 buttons at once repeatedly for some time. I can't test that, i flashed fix for 3br.
Or i'm totally wrong and he is too..
hmmm... NO!

My friend, my SGS was bootloader locked. I pressed the sh*t out of the three buttons in all conceivable ways, and no Download mode. Nothing. Nil. Zero.
All your 5 phones were bootloader unlocked, if 3BR is not working the only solution is flashing a new bootloader.

Galaxy S i9000, so the international version, is not affected by 3br problem afaik. So seems to me like you enabled can now do something everyone could already do before...

No, he is Samsung's owner.
Some "newer" Indian Samsung Galaxy S devices don't have the three button recovery. That's what I think he's trying to refer to.
No its just you guys dont want to understand what I'm trying to say.
thankyou its I'm running t.t froyo with 3br on efused. I9000

Care to be a bit clearer? If language is a problem, post in Hindi, and maybe I can translate!
I guess the 5 Galaxy S that you tested do have a proper bootloader.
OKay
Here a Breaf
i have Two Galaxy S.
One is 8Gb GT-i9000 purchased from O2 UK. This model has correct boot loader with no 3 Button combo Issue.
Then i purchased a another galaxy S i9000 16GB from India it's Running DDJG4 MODEM, PDA, AND csc. In this model i tried running 3 button combo but nothing happes as it's turns on and showing Galaxy Boot Screen. Insted of Download mode. Same appiled for recover.
So Today i take a risk and applied a update with Odin 1.3.
XXJPM. It got stucked on Sutep connection. And last option i have to disconnect. I decided not to flast boot loader. So means there's no 3 button combo Fix.
After reset removing battery. i turend it on and it showed MOBILE then computer (SCREEN OF DEATH) Then i keep pressing VOL DOWN + HOME + POWER and then mobile went off then Again on showed the logo. and again restart and come in download mode. So i got it. Yes i tried it on other Broken bootloader galaxy s and it worked.
I guss this is enough and you all got what i want to say.
Thank-you

you know, download mode is not the same as recovery, just like "volume down" is not the same as "volume up"..

I guess you don't need to boot into recovery to root, you simply need to boot into bootloader
If there's the "no command" message, press power and volume up (or down?) to bypass that

I can`t bypass that. I don`t know why but when I press power and volume up, technically I reboot device. which part I do wrong?
I wanna root my nexus with Universal Nexus Linux Toolkit and it says I can root my nexus without unlock bootloader. so I can use warranty.

I guess it's impossible to root without unlocking bootloader... But it could be I'm wrong

I have same problem with myt Nexus 7 except that mine is rooted (with Nexus 7 Toolkit v1.5). Recovery mode has the dreaded "No Command" message and no combination of button presses will take it past that screen - except into normal reboot.
I've got the same no command message and no combination of buttons with the power & volume rocker will get me out of it. looking for suggestions.

Motochopper exploit has been out and about for a while, although your mileage may vary. KhoC, it's generally better practice to go through fastboot first. Reboot by holding power and both volume buttons (up and down). You should get to a black screen with an android in the center, and a tab at the top that will say things like Reboot bootloader, Recovery, Power Off, and other such things. Scroll with the volume buttons, select with power.

Care to tell us what combinations you've tried? Saying that none of them work is generally unhelpful, since it's possible you're just forgetting one/slightly malforming the correct sequence.

Yea sorry. I've tried power + volume up, power + volume down & power + both volume up/down at both powering it it on and while the device is actually on. while the device is on, if I press power + volume up, all it does is dim/brighten the screen. power + volume down does nothing. When I'm pressing the buttons, I'm holding them down, which will eventually reboot the device. I get the Google logo and the unlocked padlock, then the android laying down with no command below it.
Edit: I started my own thread this morning about it titled "Need help recovering my Nexus 7" a few posts down so not to hijack this one that has a little more info as well.

Are you rooted? I thought it negated the warranty. I had contacted Google when it first happened and that's what they told me

It was rooted, and the tech never asked. To be honest, I'm not sure how one would tell if it won't even boot. I'll find out I guess.

Just curious why you are asking a question about a i9505 device here?

Are you sure you're not talking about download mode? (vol down + home + power)
Recovery mode is vol up + home + power. Release just the power button when the phone vibrates

yes download is fine
in recovery are not any options
You have 2 options, get into some type of recovery, or ODIN back to stock. and that will require some reading to get that up and running...try here first.
You will need to post in your i9505 forum about this issue where to find original stock image, I looked there, but didn't see anything right off the bat.
god luck sir.

Try turning off the phone, pull the battery for a minute and try again. Or insert a Jig after a minute if you have one that is.

Every Samsung android phone has download mode, what S4 model do you have? Turn off the phone, press volume down and then power, hold for about 3-5 seconds and you feel a vibration and you`re in downloadmode.
Eeeer you need to hold volume down+HOME+power

The only other reason an S4 didn't go to download mode was because it was a clone... Are you sure yours is the real deal?

Is your S4 rooted?
If so, you can try download ROM Manager and I think they have download mode together with boot and recovery.
yeah I alone really confused for my own phone, I guest what "ultramag69" is right.
Heya.
I have my LG G2 for the past 4 months and decided its time to root it and install a decent rom.
I can't seem to enter recovery mode at all, I read up various guides online but they all say the same thing - power off, hold down the power and volume down key till the logo appears, release for 1 second and then hold them again till the recovery mode appears.
I have tried this for the past 1 hour and nada - phone just turns on normally.
Is this a known issue? perhaps there is some way to "unlock" that option? HELP!
