I pre ordered my nexus 7 from the google play store and received it 2 weeks after my friends purchased theirs at a local electronics retailer in Australia. I am glad there is no pre order from google play on the nexus 10

Personally, I'm going to wait a bit for any hardware revisions to come by and fix any possible bugs (Nexus 7 anyone?). So December-January for me.
Does anyone know how long it was after the nexus 7 release until it was available at bestbuy or walmart? I have friends of my family visiting their son in some town I dont remember the name of in SC and there are both walmart and bestbuy there and bestbuy has the possibility for international orders with local pickup and that is perfect as they don't have to pay anything. They are going back to sweden dec 13th. How is expansys? Are they reliable and handle returns well? I figure it would be easier for our friends getting it from bestbuy/walmart if the N10 would have any defects as they could just go back to the store and get it exchanged instead of having to deal with returns through mail to expansys.

I can't remember where, but somewhere yesterday I read it will be available in stores the same day as the play store.
You can get notified by email when it's available. Go to Google Play, enter Nexus 10 in search box. Click on Shop Now (select either 16 or 32gb model). Under Coming Soon enter your email address above Notify Me.

I've tried Google Play on my Galaxy Note and on my laptop but all that there is for sale is Films, Books and Apps and no hardware.
I live in the UK and wondered if hardware was not available here on the Play store, does anyone know?

You can't access the devices section from the app on your phone.
Gotta get there on a computer, or you can access from the browser on your phone as long as you don't have links to play go to the app.

I think in the UK that the shops got the N7 about 2 weeks after google started selling them online, wouldn't be surprised if the same thing happened again.

Is told they wouldn't carry it as they don't carry the N7. They said it's because they would take a loss on it. I think it's because they're in bed with Apple. Just look at the amount of Apple they carry over Android.

My wife is one of the Google Chrome Rep's at Best Buy. (I don't think they have one in every store) The program just changed and they are basically dropping the Chrome from their name. In one of her emails the company said that the reason they don't carry the Nexus 7 is because of a deal between Amazon and Best Buy. Mainly because it's the direct competitor. It doesn't look like Best Buy will ever carry the Nexus 7. She wasn't sure about the N10 but it doesn't look likely.
The Nexus 4 is supposed to become available from the Play Store again at 12PM Pacific Time. I'm planning on ordering one once it's in stock. I'm guessing the prices will stay the same (Why would they change?). Who else is planning on ordering one?

I think I will be purchasing another. I want to return mine to T-Mobile since I bought it $499 off contract, plus tax. Everything amounted to about $543 - so I'll be saving a good chunk of money purchasing the Nexus 4 through Google.

I think there will be enough. The N4 sold out fast on Nov. 13 but by now the hype has calmed down.

In order to get the N4 you might have to move to Firefox from Chrome for the next half hour. I know on Firefox there is an add-on/widget that reloads any page you want every 5 seconds. Just keep the Firefox window with the Nexus 4 Play Store page open and see-able so once the device is available, you'll be one of the first to see it and be able to order the N4. I might think of doing that lol.

are you talking about the checkout erroring out? i think that was because of the mad rush to buy the phone the first time. servers couldnt handle it or something. hopefully it's not as crazy this time around.

Yes. The problems only happened because so many people were rushing to buy the device and the servers crashed or something like that. This time I don't think there will be that big of a rush to buy the N4.

For me it was 5 business days. I got shipping notification on Monday evening, UPS got it on Tuesday morning, and I got it 7 hours later that same morning.
I was thinking about ordering, to resell my current 8gb and snag a 16gb, but 1) 8gb is enough for me and 2) I think the resell market is going to tank once this second batch comes out and supply meets demand.

Looks like Best Buy is running the $100 trade in program again. I took advantage of this when I got my N9.... I wonder if they aren't selling well enough?
Even though they have this going on, none of the stores by me have any in stock and it's been that way for a while.

It seems there are a lot of store managers who don't know how to give credit for working tablets that are not on their computer databases. Anyone having trouble finding a White Nexus 9 in stock at their local Best buy?
There's like 10 Bestbuys within 30 miles of me and none have any white ones in stock. Neither the 16gb or 32gb.
The 16gb Black looks to be the most plentiful.

Yup, I went to BB the other day to trade my original N9 in and they had two 32gb black, zero white and about 20 16gb black.
I don't see white ones in stock at any BB in my area (Central Texas).
I did this a couple of weeks ago. I traded in my 8gb 2012 Nexus 7 (normally they would only give $10 for this), and was able to get a 32 gb Nexus 9.
I did run into an issue where the Nexus 9 wasn't in stock and the $50 coupon is for in-store use only. When they went to order it for me, their system wouldn't take the coupon and they told me coupon could only be used in the store. I reminded them that we were in the store having this conversation. The manager ended up "taking care of it", and knocked $50 off of the price.

ive read on the best buy forums there have been mixed results on doing this in store with random tablets because they are not in the system. i have read that people who complain on the best buy forum, and with an admin/ cs rep responding, will get success because apparently the rep is contacting the store directly to have them push the trade in through.

I would contact the Google Store's support team, or you can always place an order and cancel it if the estimated ship date isn't to your liking.

Most likely not. Not sure when the 32gb is shipping but I imagine its cutting it close at best case for Nov 10. You could always get gouged on Ebay or look on swappa or craigslist.

actually i do want the 32 GB nexus, but since the date is so close i'm afraid to take that chance...
is there a physical store that will hold the 6P by that date ? if there is, I don't need to take that chance on a web order...
Or maybe amazon will get a hold on it till then ? they usually have a very reliable shipping time from what I'm aware of..

You're going to miss LTE band 20 if you are in Europe with the US version. Other bands could be missing if you're living elsewhere.

sadly, since I have to.... I need to decide which other phone to get.....I thought about the nexus 6 or the moto x pure edition....
what do you think ?
1. I really love the nexus family and the updates, but the nexus 6 have a very high SAR rating....so that disappointing...on the other hand I could not find those SAR rating for the moto X pure edition....and usually motorola phones tend to have a very high rating...Do you know its ratings ?
2. Its not a nexus and I'm not sure how "future proof" the moto X pure will be with android updates..
3. Since time is a main thing to consider, how long do you usually need to wait if you buy the phone from "moto maker" ?
both are 350-400 $ phones which is nice....
what do you guys think ? Is there another opting to consider ? maybe nexus 5X ?
