Hi all,
I upgraded my N1 to FroYo using Paul's instructions and all looked good until I realised that I had lost root for some reason. I then flashed Cyanogen's rooting rom and I got root back, but lost function of both Home and Search capacitive buttons!
Has this happened to anyone else? Any idea how to fix this? I searched the forum as much as I could but failed to find anything on this so I thought I'd ask here...
FYI, I rebooted, re-flashed ROM, etc., but to no avail.
Many thanks in advance...

Did you wipe everything before flashing the new ROM? If you use the ROM linked in my Sig below it is already rooted. You won't need to flash the Cyanogen package.
Good luck...
Thanks for your reply, didn't wipe anything since the instructons seemed to say to only wipe if I had a Sense UI ROM, which I didn't.
Anyway, I have now wiped everything and the buttons work again
So many thanks attn1, all is well again!

There's a fix for that in android development forum...if that doesn't work you can bring back to stock with thread in general forum....
Hi there, I've done the same thing! Could you provide links to the appropriate solutions please?
Searching should not be a problem.

Hey guys.
I know this is a lot of ask and maybe even impossible, but I've messed my phone up pretty bad and it's being sold tomorrow. Accidentally tried to update a a rooted device and its stuck in TWRP bootloop.
is there anyway someone can send me a D803 Telus stock 4.4 rom? Or how to get one? the "go back to stock" thread is confusing and the host site to download all the drivers is down at the moment.
thanks, sorry in advance. lol
Wow. How lazy can you be? Go back to stock thread got super easy since a new, easier to use tool has been released.
Also, had you bothered a little bit with searching, you would have found this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2451696
Hey guys, i'm a new member to the xda forums.
I had a problem while rooted hope you guys can help out.
I recently bought a moto g4 plus(Only launched in india so far) which runs on android 6.0.1(Stock).
When i tried to flash supersu.zip from twrp i bricked my device. When booting it only shows moto logo and never procceds after that. I think its a soft brick coz i can reboot into twrp recovery. Is there any possible way to fix my device. BTW i'm using a mac and dont have windows. thanks in advance. I want to know how to reflash stock rom from recovery to remove brick. If you need any more details i will be ready to give.
I have the same problem

Good! I am experiencing the same issue. Were you now able to root after getting back to stock?
