I created some partitions for the Spartacus Kernel awhile back. I'd like to remove them now. I've Odined back to a stock ROM but they are still there.
Not sure but maybe backup everything you want from your sd card to your computer and then format your sd card.

I tried formatting the SD card and that did not work. Thank you though.
Any other ideas?
Any help please?
There is free partition manager software available online that you can download to your PC to manage any partitions on your SD card (and PC hard drive as an added bonus).

hello,
i want to wipe my android and start from scratch , also i want to delete any contents on my sd card...
but what contents on the sd card must remain? i remeber when i bought my desire, there were already folders on the sd card, are they important??
how do i do this?
first wipe/reinstall rom , then format, then wipe again?
Why wipe and then reinstall the same rom? Wipe=factory reset which deletes all user info, apps, etc etc. As in it will look like it did when you wiped and installed rom for the first time. Just reformat the sd card and you are done. You aren't gonna see a completely empty sd card after reformatting. There will be system folders that android will place there.

After you have wiped and flashed your new rom, you can format your SD card from within android. That way, it will be able to place the default folders in there for you at the same time.
perfect, thnx for the info...
I was using stock 2.2.1 and had LOTS of apps on my SD card. I cleared roughly 1 GB my moving my songs, and then installed MIUI. So, now I know that lots of space on my SD card is being consumed by apps that I no longer use. How do I clear those? Thank You.
Have you tried formatting the ext partition?

What solution is this?
To format entire sd card everytime you want to delete some apps?
The appications that are installed on sd card go to .android_secure folder.
Seems that is empty but it isn't. You can delete it, will be created again by system if needed.
Please guys help me to fix my 16GB memory that always deletes files(some files) inside my memory card.
Everytime I try to format using HP formatter it says 'device is protected'.
Please post some advice to make it work again. I still believe there's a solution.
Thanks in advance!

I dont see anything wrong with the title.
I can format the sd using any other tool except to HP formatter.
And yes everytime i transfer my files from 4GB memory card, after removing from the computer the contains of 16GB are not equally the same as to my 4GB sd. For example i copied my titanium(folder) back up from 4GB and transfer it to 16GB the folder becomes empty when.try restoring. Even my music files are automatically deleted after placing the 16GB to my phone. Thats the situation.
But the other files remain inside.

I did not use my memory card for 10 months, I have some data in it, but I lost the data but the memory card is still working. Can I get the data back?
Hello, Now I don't really know what's going on cause i'm going crazy with this phone, eveytime I inserted sd card it asked the partition card and internal sd card and when I chose the external ones I have no idea why it doesn't read my sd card like for example I wanna transfer my file via airdroid or wanna restore an app via Titanium backup or play an NDS game it just read only the internal storage even though it shows on ES file explore (I tried the internal ones and it format my SD card, and S did put all the files back in place but it didn't help, the es file explore in photo was before I put my files back, by the way), my phone just doesn't read my sd card, it's like it just work as a one way storage, when I was using a Sony, this doesn't happens what so ever.
Does anyone knows how to fix this problem of mine, please help me. I took some pictures to make proves :crying::crying:
I'm terribly sorry for my English, English is not my primary language.

In titanium backup, open the preferences menu then choose backup folder location. Choose Storage provider (click to change). Then pick DocumentProvider storage, select the SD card on the left menu then press Select at the bottom right corner
go to settings>>storage>>click on external sdcard>>top corner 3dots>>settings>> format
then move media to sdcard.
Your SD card is showing in the file manager. You've 32gb sd card right? "FD89-1CE6" is your sd card. For titanium backup you need go to TB settings and set the backup directory to SD CARD ( FD89-1CE6)

Yeah, Thank you very much, i just did it last night, kinda having trouble with the superSU at first though, I tried to patched Titanium Backup on lucky patcher and it kept saying that I need to root my device, so i had to reflash superSU again. Thank god it went through. Now I having trouble with the internal SD card, I couldn't get it my play store to install app to my sd card or to re-direct my app to read file in my Sd card, for example I installed Chaos ring 3, I had to move all the file from my sd card to internal, it's knilling my internal storage TT^TT . Does anyone have a solution for that, please let me know.... I think everybody have the same problem though, does anyone know how to fix this solution? :crying::crying:
Thank you

In Android 6.0, once you format ur external sd card as internal it becomes a part of ur internal memory and functions as internal one(the external SD card won't show up in file managers). Hence the phone decides where your app is installed either the real internal memory or the now formatted SD card working as internal memory.
If you don't format it as internal memory. The apps won't install on external SD card and you can't move the apps to external SD card.

No you can't coz the data on your sd card will be encripted n you won't be able to read it on your computer via card reader. I'd suggest you to keep your sd card as "portable device" if you want to transfer data via card reader.
