Trouble installing apps after dl30

So after flashing the leak, i found that i couldnt install any apps except for tapatalk. It seems to start download then stop right there. Also im having problems with the Facebook sync. Any help is appreciated thanks.

I have exactly the same problem (installing apps and facebook)
I have no idea how to fix :/

Settings>Applications>Manage Applications>All>Market>Clear Data

Ditto. DL30 install went fine, set it up w/ my Google account, even made sure I was in Talk (that was mentioned somewhere), went to Market to install Titanium Backup, no go. Starts downloading, then just quits, with no message or error.

Its funny that this was brought up with the DL30 leak because I am having this exact same market downloading issue on DL09 that I've been running w/o no issues for about 2 weeks now. App states "Downloading" then stops w/o any errors. Have already tried the clear Market Cache, also tried the Uninstall Updates, no go on either. Issue is with both WiFi and 3G.

+1 here. I've re-formatted/cleared/reflashed, waited for the market to update, pretty much everything I can think of so far.
Everything else (and I mean everything) is fine! 3G data and Wifi are both working very well for browsing/e-mail/etc. Just the market is broken.
At one point I did have Angry Birds get to about 6% downloaded, but it was VERY slow. It's the only app I had start downloading at all.
I hope somebody smart swoops in with a "you guys are idiots ... do this" post

I am having the same issue. Tried clearing data. I have no "uninstall updates".

There's some chatter in irc that's it's a server issue, not the market app...

Same here. Any fix? I cleared data under settings no luck yet. Hoping for a fix.

So this is a problem on DL09 too? This could be a Google problem.

is there a way to update to new market app ? maybe it will help.

Classic bad timing on our part! I love it!
I can and shall wait until tomorrow. Besides, I wiped my SD card and have about 12GB of MP3s to re-sync. Plenty of stuff to do.

Try to download something else. See what happens. I got thru once but that was it. Also on that link to AndroidForums.com they are complaining as if the market always goes down. This is the first time ever for me. Not sure about you guys. Been with Android since G1.

This might be good news. Maybe Google is prepping the Market with some new features for tomorrows Honeycomb event.

Downloaded Gensoid just fine. I'll try a few more.
Game Dev story went through fine. No problems here. I had a HeroC when it came out, I've never really experienced market outage that I can remember clearly enough to bother me.

Just updated four apps with no hiccups.

Odd, I just got the phone today, did the OTA and have the new market.
When I first set it up I let it re-install all my apps and blah, and had the old market. I did a factory reset through recovery and did a fresh sign in through the gmail app, which stopped the restore of my app data, I wanted to start fresh. I had the new market after that.

I think those that were having issues, the issues are now gone. I never had any issues though.
Supposedly has to do with google market upgrades coming, but who knows.

Asphalt 6 on ICS

I know a lot of people are having issues getting Asphalt 6 to work in ICS, due to the "Unable to play this video" error message, but for those who it does work, what is the version number you are on? And have any of you gotten it to work from a fresh download and install of the game? Just from what I have read most people have only gotten it to work if they have backed up the files and restoreed them using Titanium/ROM Toolbox. I have tried the same myself with no luck, so any input would be helpful.

I'm running Icylicious and haven't had any issues running Asphalt. I just downloaded it from the market and it runs fine.
I actually even rolled back to 3.2.1 to test something, went back to Icy and it still runs like a champ. Hope that helps you out.

So your running the copy from the market? Not the free one from gameloft for having the A500 correct?

That is correct. I got it for $.10 during the gigantic app sale a month or two ago.

Final Fantasy III not working

Hi!
I bought Final Fantasy III yesterday, but i just can't install it! Every time it downloads the 170 mb and then tries so install, leaving me with the message "insufficient space"!! I have no idea anymore, it just doesn't make sense, i have plenty of space!
I also downloaded the apk from the web (not market) and tried to install to see if this works, but it's the same and just won't install.
Does anyone have an idea or a solution for this?

Sure. This seems to happen when you already had installed the apk, when you uninstall it's possible that it leaves an odex file in /data/app. Just delete this file, problem should be solved and you can install it normally again!

Because Caribou is better??
A lot of developers haven't updated their apps to work with 4.2 yet. Might be the issue in your case.

No, but the app force closes upon opening for me. So it doesn't work.

Same here, I also get FC.
In the meantime, I will use the Square app for Starbucks (if I don't have my card hanging around). I just won't get any benefits on my member card.

Because stock price without regards to volume means absolutely everything. You must be a Starbucks customer, as you certainly have the intellect of one.

Why do people pay so much for a cup of garbage. I can get a can of coffee for the same price as you pay for two cups.

I just installed Cyanogen Mod 10, which is only 4.1.2, and I can't reinstall the app either.
I don't think it's just a 4.2 issue, as people keep posting. Any other ideas?
Like the brand or not, some of us like the app. Help would be appreciated.

Okay, so, I am still on CM 10 (STILL Android 4.1.2)
I side-loaded the Starbucks APK 2.2.3 (the newest, as of this posting) and it seems to work fine.
HOWEVER, the Play Store shows that it is installed, but still gives me a warning that the app is not compatible with my phone. Doesn't show the normal buttons for Uninstalling or Opening, so I'm assuming it won't Update as normal, either.
Side note: all other apps have seemed to work perfectly on my copy of this build, including Groupon and a side-load of Google Wallet. Not sure what the deal is.

I downloaded it onto my Kindle, then backed it up with ES File Explorer and moved the file to my phone with Dropbox.
I don't have enough posts under my belt to post links yet...try this, omit the obvious.
OR, a mod is more than welcome to edit this and/or post the link themselves, after checking it's valid?

Basically, it's a useful app for anyone who's a regular and uses the reloadable rewards card. That's all.

Just to add on to this: using the re loadable card allows for free refills on coffee and iced coffee as long as you're there. Great for when you're doing homework; just buy a small and get unlimited.
So when the hell is Starbucks going to update their app?!?

Thank you for posting the .APK buddy.. it works just fine on 4.1 but it crashes on 4.2 i really hope starbucks updates its app soon, as i use it a lot
