XWJVU - JVU_JV4_JVT.tar - Swype languages (highlight = was not included in XXJVT):
EnglishUK,EnglishUS,Czech,Dutch,French,German,Greek,Hungarian,Italian,Korean,Polish,PortuguesePT,Slovak,Spanish,Turkish
Any trial to Root with CF-JVT kernel ? Thanks

Is it branded only at the CSC, or junk is included in the PDA as well?
It should be full of frogs and "T"s.
XWJVU ( JVU_JV4_JVT.tar ) vs XXJVT ( JVT_JVT_JVT.tar )
most difference in cache.rfs (CSC), but rootfs.rfs (PDA) is not much different to XXJVT
comparing XWJVU ( JVU_JV4_JVT.tar ) vs XXJVT ( JVT_JVT_JVT.tar )
different files in bin folder:
Code:
/GT-I9000_TMN_1_20111021151552.zip/factoryfs.rfs/bin/
/GT-I9000_XEU_1_20111007193914.zip/factoryfs.rfs/bin/
charging_mode
debuggerd
mtpd
wlandutservice
different files in lib folder:
Code:
/GT-I9000_TMN_1_20111021151552.zip/factoryfs.rfs/lib/
/GT-I9000_XEU_1_20111007193914.zip/factoryfs.rfs/lib/

libopencore_player.so
libseccameraadaptor.so
libsec-ril.so
libstagefright.so
libSwypeCore.so

and not much different apk files in app folder
i am sorry mate but comparing binaries sizes is not the way =)

Tested with "CF-Root-XX_OXA_JVT-v4.3-CWM3RFS" and all systems are a GO
why do you think chainfire releases new versions for every kernel?
it is not 100% safe to use older cfroot or infact any kernel from older 'veersion'

Every firmware from Samsung is going to have blue overscroll blame crapple for this
preceed with caution XWJVU
cache file changed to one from JVT == no bloatware ;]
everything else is untouched

ATTENTION!!! TMN ROMS ARE ALWAYS BRANDED AS HELL!
They always bring lots of unuseful apps and sh*t like that... I know cause I'm portuguese, and that's the rom from my service provider.

didn't read that before.
should I give it a try and flash this right now then? and root with semaphore 1.8.1?
or should I wait for sammobile one, if it releases?
sammobile will not post blootwarefree version
do not flash semaphore over it ... root using Easy Rooting Toolkit - GT-I9000 edition
this is 2.3.5 semaphore is made out of 2.3.4 sources ...

Official rom you can find in Samsung Kies. Here nobody care about warranty
Dont afraid to flash with odin or to root your device, anyway if you will need your warranty back, just flash latest oficial rom for your region
Quick question:
What does the 3 files include respectively?(APBOOT, CODE, KERNEL)
maybe this is one file firmware
Grml - just updated to JVZ... I am looking forward to any report and reviews...

+1 (before porting DMORE ROM i asked for new features XWJW6)
Root?
OMG! Music hub in ROM! And looks like different from S2.
Lockscreen looks a bit different. Operator name on corner.
Google search and play store is latest version.
Smoother screen turn off animations
An interesting button under zoom buttons on gallery.
Much better browser. 189 points on HTML5 test.
12 FPS on Speed Reading. (JW5 was 3 FPS)
Some screenshot please ?
Anyone found out if the lockscreen bug is still present ?
When battery is below 20 % in lockscreen is displayed charging.
Does Semaphore 2.7.4 work on this firmware?
Yes

I flashed LPT XEU (coming from LPO) with Mobile Odin. All went just fine. Noticed a couple of new applications I've never seen on a UK firmware:
* Parachute Panic
* Bubble Defense
* Archipelago
All uninstalled with Titanium Backup of course.

Nope, Samsung don't supply changelogs.... You need to find all the little changes yourself....

yes please, anyone who has this installed, can you please post improvements, changes, etc?
I'm running it. Can't tell what's changed, though.
Could anyone tell us how the performance is?
Performance looks just the same. Cant find any noticeable changes.
MC5 changes
I am using germany mc5 about 1week.just kernel improvememt.patches from upstream google sources and more stable....
Seems good so far
it's overall faster, they fixed the fullscreen video reproduction (bar appearing and disappearing).
btw, they fixed the exynos exploit (can't root anymore, I recommend flashing with mobile odin pro and inject root):good:
