Guys, are there any possibilities of someone cooking an Android 4.1.x Jelly Bean based ROM for the 3G version of N7?
I quite dislike the new designs of 4.2.x, especially the new notification center and some UI elements, and since there's no downgrade option for the N7 as it comes stock with 4.2
So I'm hoping that someone can.compile a 4.1.x ROM or implement the 3G into the current ROMs for the non-3G version to make them available for the 3G version

Hi This is the first time i'm about to Flash a Rom to my Wildfire A3333
Can you suggest me a Rom based on this criteria s given below.
1) Stability and Most function should work
2) I like the stock Default appearance of android.
3) My main intention is just to upgrade to the latest Rom of Android (Bug free)
4) I prefer Jelly bean. But if there is no stable / Bug free Rom suggest me others but above gingerbread.
5) It should not lower the battery life.
If there is none available as i expected i will go ahead with cyanogenmod 7.2 stable which could upgrade my froyo to gingerbread
What your suggestion on that?
Thanks in advance.
If there

well, Jelly Bean is actually out of the question.. JB roms are not quite usable as daily driver.
That leaves us with ICS or GB.
ICS roms do come with a little bit more battery drain, and arent as fast as GB roms. but they are usable and quite stable. I would recommend AOKP light by Wasimk32 or MiniCM9 by Jordafaz.
now GB ROM are the best option to go for. Cynogen ROMs have a decent battery life, so it haven't been a issue for me, at least.
you could try CM7 from this site.

And there are modified versions of CM7, which are found in the Devolopment section.
hope this helps
Cheers...

So I've been on stock mf9 rooted for awhile now and I was thinking about flashing to Sascs ROM. However there is both a 4.2 version and a 4.3 version. My question, basically, is if there are any cons to using the 4.3 rom over the 4.2 one, since 4.3 is newer. Like, is it stable enough to use as a daily driver yet, and are there any features not yet implemented that are in the 4.2 that might be worth sicking with 4.2 for awhile over? And how much "better" (in terms of new features/speed/battery/etc) 4.3 ROM in general?
Hope that was succint enough. Thanks!
I updated from Sacs 4.2 to his.3 rom and IMHO as far as features go, there isn't any noticeable difference. If anything you have more freedom to mod with 4.2 considering 3minit is built in and is not yet compatible with his 4.3 rom. Both roms are rock solid though so can't go wrong either way. Hope this helps!
I prefer his 4.3 ROM because it is the newer software, but his 4.2 ROM is more stable. My phone sometime freezes on the 4.3 ROM
Samsung Galaxy S i9000 is decent smartphone, it comes with decent hardware specification. Powered with Cortex A8 1GHz processor with 512MB RAM, and a dedicated PowerVR SGX540 graphic chip. The smartphone isn’t so powerful but was one who brought Samsung to top in past time. The phone is actually a good choice to get a good experience of Android operating system in low budget. After reading through the custom roms for my T819Y, it looks like most have some issue or several features don't work or are unsupported in the custom rom.
I'm looking for recommendations for a stable version newer than Android V7.
Thanks
LineageOS 16 by @LuK1337. You can find it in Tab S2 Original Android Development, despite the fact that our T819Ys are the second version Tab S2.
Also, it's made for T819, I'm not sure what the exact differences are yet, but I feel like it's band support maybe... Make sure to download the exact Android Nougat rom just in case!
Small update, on ROMs newer than Android 7, you can't use mobile data or anything of the sort at all.
Looks like it's time for an upgrade.
Hello, I was recently able to score an Android Jelly Bean 4.2.2 ROM running smoothly on my Samsung Epic 4G (Domination ROM) from another XDA user.
Now I want to see if I could gain access to any stable ROM builds that are based on Android Jelly Bean 4.3 or higher. Or any other ROM/OS that can run on such an old handheld device. I've looked and looked and looked but I the only higher Android ROM than the Domination ROM I have is the CyanogenMod nightly build that keeps glitching out on startup so I couldn't use that.
This is a longshot, but any links or resources to ROMs/OSes plus other solutions to point me in the right direction would greatly be appreciated.
Thank you in advance.
