My DROID X is my back up developer device. Has anyone had any problems with the Droid X WIFI after it is disconnected from Verizon? My wifi just keeps going in and out? Please help, this device is needed for my future of developing an app for my company

Hi everyone,
Does anyone have heard about a fix for the N7 to be able to recognize adhoc networks ?
I can't even see the signal tethered from my android phone through barnacle.
Thanks in advance.

Just tried using barnacle after reading your post and it won't work from phone either. Haven't looked into this yet but I'm sure we just need to change the WPA supplement, possibly some custom Roms have this "fixed" but being this is the first time I've tried I haven't looked into it
when I get some free time I'll see what I can do and post back, otherwise hopefully someone else can chime in and let us know what's up

my service is goin to my droid 4 and my droid 2g is just sitting there...can I some how use the droid 4 signal to power the d2g for internet?
Wifi at the house doesn't work for my roms (odd) but the wifi at work does...I did use foxfi app but the wifi wouldn't connect but the blue tooth would. And the d2g couldn't do nothing with the blue tooth..any idea's?

Is it possible to change the ID of a Droid X to fool Verizon into thinking it's a dumb phone? My wife is considering upgrading to a smartphone for the first time and I want her to be able to try it out using WiFi only for a while first. Any help would be appreciated.
Unsure on what you mean by dumb? I have a Droid X, no service, I use it on Wi-Fi all the time and as an mp3 player. You could do the same putting it in Airplane mode and turning Wi-Fi on.

She has a "feature" phone now to make calls and texts from. I would like to activate the X for her to be able to call and text from, just not pay for data yet.
It's impossible. The DROID X has a built in 3g sim. While most feature phones have a built in 2g sim. Verizon does have a prepay plan. I would look into that but for simple testing purposes, you can just reset the phone and skip setup.

Hello everyone, I have a huge favor to ask anyone that has the knowledge for it. I recently bought this tablet and am happy with how fast it is. A true joy to own.
My question is however is if anyone has had any luck with connecting a Bluetooth keyboard and the app that connects the wiimote to this tablet. I'm currently using CleanRom but have had no success in pairing either of these things. Hopeful someone can help me with this.

Okay after a bit of research I come to realize that I might have to flash a rom based on v4.1.2 or below.
Can anyone recommend one in particular so i can test my theory?

So I flashed a 4.1.2 rom and my blue tooth incompatible issue went away just as I thought when connecting my wiimote controller. My blue tooth keyboard as expected still doesn't connect however. It only works with my DROID RAZR HD phone it appears. Could be only compatible with it since it's a Motorola branded keyboard as well. Here is a step by step guide on how to get the controller working for any and all interested with your Nexus 7. Confirmed working with this amazing tablet.

Hi all
I have a Verizon Motorolla Droid RAZR M (XT907) and it's rooted. I was using the stock tethering app in settings from Verizon and my company told me not to use it, then gave me a MiFi portable hotspot, but then 2 months later they took it away.... So now I want to figure out how to tether my phone without the company being billed for tethering. I tried FoxFi but it doesn't work at all. Anyone have a good app for this, preferably free? Or some way to use the stock app without being billed? I tried to search but there's nothing specific to my question...
You could try this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1981625 but of course they would see an increase in data...
