Stock charger is 5.0v @ 2A, so yes you can use that charger, but it's going to take a lot longer to charge.

Nexus s battery recharge time

I was wandering if its only my nexus s(i9023) takes upto 3 to 4 hours to charge.

same here, up to 3-4 hours, which is quite much
The charge time is quite ridiculous

You can use a different charger - the one that comes with the Evo is 1.0A, not the 750ma that comes with the Nexus. Still - the Nexus is way too slow, but this helps.
I hope this is not the case. I just purchased the Nexsus S last night and i like guick charging while in the car. The iPhone 4 I have been using charges very quick. I am using a 2.1 AMP car charger. Right now I'm at 82% and charging so will see how long it takes to get 100%

Since my last post, battery has gone up 85% charged. I just disconnected to grab some lunch.

Check whether your phone is charging in AC mode or USB mode when charging with the car charger. If it is slow, I suspect it's charging in USB mode.
I have Galaxy Tab 7. Will that charge faster since the Tab has a bigger battery and hence a more powerful charger?

I believe the SGT 7 charger is a 5v charger, which is the same as the Nexsus S charger with 0.7A.

Buy a battery charger. I like the one from Samsung. There are also many aftermarket options.
So lovely to come home and pop in a fresh battery.

Might do that. Saw on eBay, 2 1500mah batteries and charger for 9.99. Only thing is they take forever to ship from Hong Kong.

Actually, i just took a look at my Galaxy Tab 7" charger and the output is 5V 2.0A. It's not the same amperage as the Nexus S, but higher. Should definitely charge faster then.
I use a 1 amp Pre cylinder charger.
No idea how long it takes; so far have only charged overnight with the occasional USB cable top-up.
Not sure if I'd try something pushing 2A though...

What AC Chargers Work on the Nexus 7?

I've tried a few AC chargers with my nexus 7 with mixed results. My Samsung Galaxy S2 charger (5v-0.7A) and the stock charger (5v-2A) work. However my belkin travel charger (5v-2A) and my iPad charger (5.1v-2.1A) don't charge it, even with using the stock cable.
What else works or how can I get it to charge on all the chargers?

Nexus 4 charger specification

Hi.
I just forgot my charger in a hotel... Can anyone check how much mA the charge have so I can buy a new one???
1.5a
Just checked mine a few hours ago

Mine is 1.2A

The proper original charger only outputs at 1.2 amps.
Thank you folks!
Always buy the largest ma adapter you can find..devices draw what they need and you can charge more devices and charge faster when the adapter isn't the limiting factor.

I charge mine with my old G2X charger at 1.0a and it`s ok
Fastest chargers I've ever had are my old blackberry wall chargers. They're even faster than the chargers that come with the Nexus.

As long as your charger can supply the maximum current asked for by the N4 (about 0.8A I think, if memory serves correct, from the service manual), then it doesn't matter how fast or high current it can supply, it won't charge any faster than the stock charger.

[Q] does this support fast charging and come with a 2 Amp wall charger?

i ask because the Galaxy Note II charges really fast with the included 2 Amp charger despite the huge battery. so does it?
It will support 2 amp charger but it will not come with a 2 amp wall charger.
I had read it does come with the so called rapid charge charger, where did you read that it would not?
Anandtech said it came with the same wall charger as the Note 2,which is 2 amp.
"This signaling is essentially Samsung's proprietary tablet charging signaling which they've employed on the Galaxy Note 2 and now SGS4, in fact the two use the same exact charger, so it's worth tossing out your old ones and getting the appropriate one to take advantage of the faster charging."

so even tho it has quick charge, its still slower than the s3? oo wut? it should charge twice as fast with a 2A charger vs 1A. i know the battery is a bit bigger, but it should still be significantly faster than the S3

Quick charge to my knowledge is strictly for usb charging. Wall charging is unaffected by this tech. 2 amp charger for a phone is damn fast, trust me.

The included 2 amp charger seems pretty quick to me. I never owned an S3, so I can't compare to that.

thanks for the reply!
I'd be interested in seeing if the phone actually draws 2 amps while charging or if it limits itself to a 1 amp rate of charge.

got the i9505 today, it comes with a 2A charger and it definitely charges up rapidly. I used the galaxy app from this forum to check charge current and it is flagged as 1900 mA.
For me it is not charging trough the PC's USB:crying:

If the phone's normal current draw is 1900mA, I wouldn't expect much of anything when plugged into a 500mA USB port

Can confirm it comes with 2amp charger and charges fast (Can only compare it to my S2 but I would say its charges quicker than that). Phone does charge via USB but very slow.
It is realy weird, that it is no possible charging from pc!
SOLVED: It was blocked by Battery Monitor Widget
So does or it doesn't support quick charger the samsung galaxy s4 i9505 android 5.0.1?

LG Nexus 4 slow charging

Do you guys notice the LG wall charger that came with the phone seem to charge more slowly that others? I tried charging my Nexus 4 with a samsung charger and it charge at least twice as fast compared to the LG that came with the phone.

There's a reason this phone has a smaller battery. Therefore they'll use a less amped charger. For instance it takes longer to charge my note 2 than my nexus 4 does. Our LG charger is only 1amp. My note 2 is a 2amp hence 2x faster.

But why would they make it charge slow. I just don't see the benefit in doing that and the charger I use is a galaxy s2 charger. The battery size is not much different.

Check the specs on that charger. And it's more efficient.

The output on the LG is 5v, 1.2A and the output on the Samsung is 5v, 1A. It seems the LG is suppose to output more, yet it charges more slowly. I also notice sometimes with the LG charger the phone switch to usb mode.

Probably due to USB cords I have no issues at all with charging.

I noticed my charger got slower too. I swapped the cable and it charges fast again. The cable that the charger comes with got faulty, but I can't really notice anything when inspecting it.
