The best app to save the battery backup is SetCPU. It helps to manage the clocking of device as well as with the help of different profiles we can save some battery juice.
Actually my battery is damaged. My battery juice doesnt last even for 3 hours. After searching for 2 weeks I found this app which really save the juice. I have used many other apps but none of them helped me. Now my battery juice last for whole day. I have set some profiles.

rather than making multiple profiles in set cpu
just keep the default rom oc settings
should do you fine

How long does a full charge last for you on your continuum?
I got a new warranty replacement battery from verizon yesterday, because my battery only lasted 4 hours. This was with turning off applications and having the screen off. I also have the brightness turned all the way down for when I actually use the phone.
Right now, Im running Adrynalyne's kernel and the "3.30.11 Clean Continuum DL17 Rom". I hope this battery lasts.
Mine will usually last all day (around 12 ish hours) with moderate use (meaning checking facebook, browsing the internet lightly and checking email, making calls and texting). I've never had a problem with my battery except when I first go tit and I couldn't put the thing down lol
Tricks to get your battery to last longer:
1. Get "Advanced Task Killer" from the market and kill all unnecessary processes that run. The Task Manager that comes on your phone can detect applications that are multitasking, but it can't detect processes. Processes can randomly start running when you open apps like Facebook, Browser, etc. When you press the "back" button to exit an application, these processes keep running and consume lots of battery life. I saved muchos battery life with this app.
2. Go to Settings>About phone>Battery use and see what's consuming the most of your battery life. Click on the items you see that are consuming battery life and it'll tell you if you can do anything about it.
3. Live Wallpapers consume a considerate amount of battery life, so if you're having battery problems, avoid using them.
4. Remove unneeded widgets.
5. A friend told me using battery conserving apps actually increased his battery consumption. I don't know if it's true, or why that would be but I would try testing to see if using a battery conserving app actually helps, or makes it worse.
6. Turn off WiFi when you're not using it, or it will constantly attempt to search for WiFi, decreasing your battery life.
7. Try using SetCPU, and set a limit to the processing power (is that what it's called?) that your phone can use. Don't set it to the minimum because you don't want a laggy phone, but try lowering it a bit and see if that reduces the amount of battery life used.
If that doesn't work, nothing will. I don't know why you only have 4 hours of battery life, but that should fix anything that makes your phone have less battery life
There's a better apparently than adv task killer it has like 5 apps in one its called android assistance. And its worth looking at trust me

Anybody had any luck with extending the battery life on the X5?
I successfully overclocked my X5 to 1.8GHz, fully stable. But I don't want to run it at a high speed until I can get the battery life under control.
Genokolar's V7 has a low voltage mod. I don't know what changes were made. And i don't want to search through the 74 page long thread on goapk to find out. I just put it on my B136 to see if it will make a difference.
I'm also sure with setcpu you can configure some profiles to improve battery life.
I tried to improve my battery life for a lot of different ways, including playing with juicedefender, setcpu profiles, smartass governor, geno's low voltage mod, etc etc... But the most obvious improvement is simple, just to uninstall battery eating apps, to find out what apps suck up the battery fast, I installed system panel, when I found my battery going fast, I enable the monitor in system panel and let it run for some time, after a day or two check the log to see what apps are using CPU frequently which wake my phone from sleeping, then uninstall them.
I keep everything simple. All stock but different internet browser, few games and few apps. No custom power panel widgets or juicedefenders..

Which app did you use ?
For monitoring I used System Panel.
Hi,
I rooted/overclocked (to 1.4Ghz) my Xoom a couple of weeks ago and everything seemed ok, all of a sudden though the battery is draining rapidly throughout the day.
In standby with light usage over the last 5 hours the battery has been depleted by nearly 30%, by light usage I mean I looked at my tweets in the Twitter app for about 15 mins.
I keep the screen brightness on auto but it generally stays quite dim, in SetCPU the scaling is set to OnDemand and the Xoom is connected to a wireless network with almost full signal so it's not constantly searching for a network. Before I rooted the battery would last for a few days with average usage and now I'm charging it every night.
Any ideas what could have happened? I'm running the 2.6.36.4Tiamat-Xoom-v2.0.0-Katana-GPUOC-gfed7aa6 kernal.
Thanks,
Rich

You are overclocking. That will drain battery faster. Also you didn't mention if you have set profiles in Set CPU to save battery charge when the screen is off, for instance. I set mine on interactive, as well, as Team Tiamat has advised. Also look at what is using your battery the most--screen will be most of it. Also, some apps try to sync all the time and your battery can drain faster that way.
Well I knew that by overclocking I'd drain the battery faster, but I didn't expect the drain to increase so dramatically! You've made a good point with the profiles in SetCPU, I'l be honest and say that I havent really had much of a look around the app other than overclocking the CPU and using the info screen to check the temperature, benchmarking etc.
I'll give the profiles a try, with regards to apps that sync data constantly I've only used the email, gmail and twitter clients for this since I brought the device so I wouldn't have expected this to contribute to the increased drain.
I'm no noob to Android devices and rooting but overclocking is a whole new thing to me
So you overclocked your CPU and gpu to use twitter and the gmail client?

Errrr no.... they're just the apps that are always syncing data from the web, I was giving an example of the apps that are always syncing to answer the previous poster's point that a lot of apps will sync data in the background.
--Update--
Adding a ScreenOff profile to SetCPU didnt help very much, set the max CPU to 312 and min to 216, also set scaling to Conservative. Proceeded to charge the Xoom to 100% and then left it on standby all night, this morning the battery was down to 68%.
I've now restored my Xoom to a backup I did the same day I overclocked it, as I mentioned in my original post this issue only started a couple of weeks after overclocking.
Hi and happy easter to all, thanks for your fantastic works on HD2. I always asked to myself which is the SD-rom that preserve more battery and which are the "must have" programs that keep the battery alive . This is my first problem on HD2. (the second is the video lagging, but I can understand that HD2 processor is not so fast..)
Thanks
Should be moved to Q&A
Video recording on CM7, MIUI and Sense 2.1 downwards ROMs is stable and smooth, and for the battery first check what kind of drain you're getting.using the application CurrentWidget . On airplane mode it should be no more than 3ma (probably 2) so if it is then you have quite high drain. I personally use the profiles features of SetCPU and JuiceDefender and get an easy few days worth of battery if I use it very little, and even with a few hours of listening to music on the bus I still have 70 percent battery at the end of the day.

Thank you very much for your answer. I will try to use that widget, and formerly I used to install Juice defender, but there are so many pareters difficult to configure correctly, so I'm using Green power now.. SetCPU gave me some problems when screen shut off... let's see

For your setcpu issue, make sure that you aren't setting the frequency when screen is off too low, set it to something like min 245 Max 576 with the scaling as ondemand. I really didnt do anything with juice defender, just installed it, set the main scaling thing to balanced and let it run

Hi everyone, I'm currently on CloudyG3 and i wanted to know how to get better battery life. I'm using Eco mode, Greenify, 2x Battery utility and still im getting only 4h SOT. I've seen people on older versions with 7h SOT. Does anybody knows how can i maximize my battery life? Thanks in advance

Turn off google now, syncs, and uninstall facebook. That's what did the trick for me. Also, location settings to off.
Google search (velvet.apk) always eats my battery. So i always delete.
Start with wakelocks and everything automated like syncing and such... After that make sure nothing is getting in the way of screen off battery consumption... From there Basically ur looking for longer screen on times which really has to do with your type of usage... (I can play games while listening to music and get a max screen on time of 2hours or I can read forums check mail..( do stuff that's not cpu/gpu intensive) and hit 6~7 hours screen on time)) Remember those high screen on times are for test purpose and not daily use (unless u really hardly use ur smartphone as 1 )...
Step1. Turn screen brightness to sub 0 value using something like lux auto brightness.. Screen brightness is ur 1st enemy.. control the minimum comfortable brightness u need and that alone will give u an hour or so extra of screen on time... Next is apps running and cpu freq (control what's running and how long u stay on high freqs~ the longer u stay there the more battery u use up..)
... Clear memory when uve used many apps during the day( some tend to stick around when not needed and use battery~ make sure greenify does its job)
Find a good profile for usage between freqs~cores online~ this will introduce lag but nothing too crazy if ur willing to squeeze every last drop of juice
