With some hard work and a little luck, we will see the latest offerings of android, 4.2 Jellybean. The first previews and alpha builds are bound to have bugs, quirks and what have you. We have had an influx of noobs and newbs, no offense, here in the vibrant community. If you fall in either of those categories, please do not flash these ROMs. I realize this is a free community etc and you can, if you'd like, flash these ROMs, but for god sake, please do not clutter threads with,
"X app is force closing what do I do?
(I invite the community to give other examples)
If you can't reproduce the issue, properly diagnose and fix or run a logcat of the issue, please stay on other ROMs.

Good point! Mr. Developer, what's the eta on the next release? Will it fix 911? Will it fix the GPS? Will it give me 48 hours of battery life on a single charge? Most importantly, will it allow me to use my phone as a back rubber? I need me a good massage.

I'm geeked to see you working on ROM's for the GTab Mr. Calkulin. I used to run your ROM's on my Samsung Moment (p.o.s. phone, but GREAT ROM's).

Nice to see one of the premiere EVO guys writing for our device This is gonna be sweet, Caulkin has been behind some of the coolest scripts and fixes and some of the fastest rom base images that a lot of others use for their own cooking....very nice indeed !

Digi11igaf v7.01 drains my battery really fast, but is worth it.......i just charged it up and its ready to go.........this rom has tiger like senses to it...I think it could kill 5 turtles at a time, I am with charlie sheen and he wants this Rom!

Seriously, though, starting a thread with just a link and no commentary or opening salvo for a discussion is a tad weak. And I believe that, as has already been discussed, the unlock bootloader tool will only work on certain phones, and the EVO 4G is not one of them.
I don't particularly care, since I don't want to register my phone with HTC along with the fact that I've potentially voided my warranty. That can stay between me and my friends at XDA.
Finally, I will be curious to see how this Sense Developer gambit pays off. Are people really going to devote time to developing Sense-specific apps and widgets? I support that some developers worked on apps for the PlayBook too, so anything is possible.

I wish HTC would make the source code page easier. Look it up by device or something. A huge list of random source code postings is fine when it's short like it is now, but it's only going to grow. Yea yea... CTRL-F is my friend...

OK I did a pretty thorough search through the forums and I feel like this surely must have been asked somewhere, but I'm just not finding it, so feel free to merge if I've just missed it...
I've finally gotten to the point where I'm ready to make the jump to CM7 on my Epic, but I don't think I can live without SWYPE... has anybody gotten it to work? If so, can you provide instructions?

That's the only answer I had run across but they were all dated a few months ago so I wasn't sure if it'd still work (I know in the early days Swype "Beta" was sketchy at best and expired frequently).
Sorry for the noobness, I've been out of the scene since before CM development even began on the Epic, so feeling kinda rusty!

Been using Swype beta on CM9 for a month or so. I personally love it. Wrote this post with Swype with no mistakes.
Also the voice recognition works as well. As this was written by talking into the phone.
