Faux123 is suppose to be good. When I was running sense I was running grankin's kernel and I was pretty happy with that one. I wish he would update the one for CM 7 though
Ya try Faux's stock kernel and if you have issue use Gr8grollia's v0.5 as thats the mother of all stable kernel.
which is the best ics rom for gaming?
I think that kernel has more to do with games...
But with slimics + semaphore (xl ram) +smartass i am very happy with my gaming experience
I'm using the same config slimics 4.2 and semaphore 1.26s max mem option and smartassv2 with great results. Previously was using gamerzrom which is also a great gaming platform but is lacking on the user interface, just not smooth enough for my liking.

cm9 with sgs3 pack & semaphore 2.3.6
games run very well =>like gta 3, maxpayne etc .. thanks to live oc and our powerfull gpu
iam using a live oc of 17%
what about devil kernel for gaming and battery?
Elite scorpion 2 kernel have awesome 3D. It's the default kernel in Elite´s RC 1.4.1 ROM.

The 3D drivers in Elite's ROM are improved, nothing in kernel. Kernel doesn't affect gaming, they are all based on Linux kernel with some added functions and updated drivers.
gamerz rom v11 the games run smoothly ..
how the battery life in gamerzrom????
currently i have an i9000 , ICS 4.0.4 , f4kmod, with semaphore 1.2.5 VC, with bigmem, (200MB of ram FREE) and i CANT make gta 3 playable without lag...
what i can try?
what is smartassv2?

lol,,, Kernel doesn't affect gaming
then why the kernel developers are here?
check the Speedmod Kernel and Stock one and Semaphore Kernel on NenaMark3D
for Best result on gaming you have to disable all services on Phone.
check the background application and services, close them all via app freezers
CM9
USE CM9 HES THE MOST STABLE dont use roms with ROM control cause it sometimes get stuck
1-elite comes with neo kernel not scorpion 2 kernel
2-use slimICS with devil3_O.99 it has gpu overclock . and you can control your amount of ram
3-kernels do affect 3d gaming .

For me many Roms are good to gaming, why? because everyone do OC, use ultimate Kernell, with some perfomance changes and voltages cpu,
but specialy don´t forget some signs like heater, because when we want power and perfomance, battery will die soon, screen will be little hot, and off course cpu.
gaming with carefull

But they all have the more or less same fixes, comparing a custom kernel to stock kernel of course is senseless.

Try to oc to 1400 mHz on stock kernel or even custom kernel ( semaphore)

You can use Slim rom with lastest Devil kernel. And you have 403Mb and CPU 1.5Ghz. You'll get best for gaming
I can oc to maximum 1440 mhz

Just wondering how the battery life and performance is with this set-up. If you feel a different kernel gets better battery life or performance with ParanoidAndroid, please let me know. Any comments and suggestions is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
PA + Franco is excellent.
PA + Trinity is also excellent.
Both are great kernels that deliver great performance and long battery life.

Hi, currently im running Omega v44.2 on my sgs3-i9300 with stock kernel, i was thinking to mix this PA 3+ and franco.kernel r20 for i9300
anyone ever try this setup? please share what's your experience with this. Does franco has any latest kernel release for i9300?
i'm a heavy user, current setup gave me like 15 hours battery life, i need more battery life due to frequent traveling.. thanks in advance!!

Hi,
I think you should ask about that in the GS3 thread.

I've tried all the kernels. I'm on the latest PA as well. Motley's was the best for me I regularly get over 4 hours on screen and 12-20 hours total time. I'm a pretty heavy user, I use like at least 1gb a week. The key is to always have your screen brightness at an optimum level and make sure there's no stupid syncing stuff like facebook. I only sync gmail, contacts, and calendar for 3 gmail accounts. I have "faster" binned CPU if that helps at all. I use trickstermod with a -75mV UV. Diff phones react to kernels diff. Try all of them to see which is the best for you. Most of the other kernels gave me similar battery life to stock which was about 3ish hours on screen and 12 or so hours total time and some didn't respond to UV well. Good luck with your journey :good:

oops, my bad! ok i will move this to SGS3 thread, thanks!
hey sorry guys for bothering but im a noob at roms. i just installed PA but cant figure out how to install franco kernel as well. its an .img file but clockwork mod wont let me use that file. thanks
...Personally after just switching to franco kernel with PA from the stock mako kernel I've had a pretty shi**y experience. Today my phone lasted only 10 hours with 50 mins screen time... wtf?? I'll definitely be moving on thankyou. I have a fast binned CPU and I do run alot of auto syncing apps.. however on the mako kernel all things equal i could easily get 2-3hours screen time and 18-20 hours of battery on time

Franco also has .zip files for CWM/TWRP. img files need to be flashed in fastboot mode.

CrDroid and PA seem to have great battery life, features and customisations. Also I would recommend checking out electron kernel.
please tell me which is best kernel for stock rom.. for fast charging and better performance

Stick to stock kernel.
if you want to squeeze more performance on your Max Pro M1, you can try the Azure kernel and the Singh Kernel, both custom kernels has overclock feature to squeeze more power (also good for gaming if you are in to that) :good:
