So after I used this awesome ROM, the major problem is Battery Drain
I also flash a lot of scripts to improve Battery live but non helped. In mad, i pull out SDcard ( Bcoz the ZIP file keep crashing :silly: ) and i slept.
 Without the present of SDcard, my phone finally can go into DeepSleep
Proof: See attachment
Can anyone teach me how to post large picture in here so I don't have to upload pictures in attachment ? =)
*Note that I install the CPUSPY after pulling my SDcard out and it show only 1% battery drain in 4 hours and 49 minutes
So I solve my battery drain problem and it might also help to all the ROM user
Hit the Thanks button if i helped you ! ( Kinda fashion lol)

Did you have any CWM backups in dedup format on your sdcard? JB has a bug where the mediascanner goes crazy when it finds
too many files in one directory while scanning which causes battery drain.

I m still a noob here so i don't know the stuff you said. But I solved my battery drain problem by this simple method and i juz wanna share it :fingers-crossed:
I have a huge battery drain, so I'm trying this right now.
Will try it soon. As far as I know, to put images in post, they have to come from the internet. when you make a post there's a button 'insert image' and it tells you to insert URL, see below
@OP My phone goes into deep sleep and I have SD Card inserted, I'm getting good battery backup, 13h with 8h music (left it on while sleeping) and 2h33minutes screentime
It was at 67% when I started music. Good enough for me.

Disabling Media Scanner would be sufficiant, without removing the sd card?
Yes, Media Scanner is the bad service in all this. A similar problem was present on the first CM10 builds. It was fixed though, so I hope Samsung fixes it too.
4hrs 18 min screen on time for me is good.. i want to try this out.. but.. removing sd card where all my files in there is not a good idea for me.. still try this though. =)

Thanks
Does the tab feels warm? which is the highest battery usage app?
I used to have a issue whereby the media scanner service gone in an infinite loop scanning for songs in my device..
Have to hardreset to solve it. Normally my overnight drain is 5%, that is with wifi/bluetooth/gps/notification/background sync all on.
My issue was with Exchange. It was draining 30-40% of the battery overnight. After removing my exchange account I lose ~5%
no i am not using wifi all the time .
At night ts on standby wifi off, everything else is off.
even if i put in airplane mode still it drains .
but using the tab ,battery does not drain.
should i go to service center ??

Well.. i recommend try hard resetting the device before returning it
When i first got the tab from M1, it ran into battery issues,
but mine is because of media scanner service
And when i connect to android debugger, it shows the media scanner trying to read my music files but failed, it goes in a infinite loop, making the tab heats up
Anyway my problem was solved when i hard reset to factory settings.
Plus i don link any of the samsung apps. (email, or social hubs)

I always thought 15% drainage overnight is normal when you were not charging it. as there are many bloatware running in the background.
Anyway, you could install and run Taskiller and you can see Galaxy Tab 7.7 has a lot of background services running.
Not all of those services are useful, like SocialHub, and they cannot be uninstalled, but you can still freeze it with Titanium Backup Pro (a paid app, need root). You could consider other options like force uninstall (with root as well), but it is risky and not recommended.
Nevertheless, plugging your tab to charger while sleeping is good idea as it prolongs the battery life. The smaller the depth of discharge, the longer the battery will last. Always avoid full-discharging.

hey,
many of us have faced an issue with the battery after flashing the official JB
well this may not be a sol " cuz i don't know what happend!"
so what i did was
1. flashing LPF 4.0.3 wipe data before flashing , not after.
2. flashing the ls8 and the lpx modem at the same time no data wipe
thats it
I'll try this

Just as a precaution, copy cache folder from SD internal to SD external and delete everything in SD internal DCIM folder. Something else is draining your battery. That 18 hours is too little IMO

/storage/sdcard0/DCIM only contains Photo and Video folders, both empty. im using the stock file manager, i guess what u've asked me for may be hidden. However, there is a "/storage/extSdCard/DCIM/Camera/cache"
It is hidden in mine, but if you see the one on excard than you should see one in internal card. You have to look for wakelocks -- install BetterBatteryStats. I don't know any other method. That app will basically tell you anything.
Give this a read. It will get you started on how to find what's causing the wakes
I bought this phone few days ago and after some using noticed that battery drains really fast with WiFi/Mobile data. I downloaded Greenify and hibernated all apps using network. I turned off Sync, NFC, Energy saving on, screen brightness really low, gps, bluetooth still it drains with 2-4h using WiFi or mobile data(3g).
Can anyone think of something that drains my battery so fast? Thanks for any help!

Sounds like you either have a process that's preventing your phone from going into deep sleep, or your battery is malfunctioning. Try checking your sleep states with an app like BetterBatteryStats and see if your device goes into sleep mode properly.
P.s. My device lasts ~2 days with medium usage, always connected to the internet with either 3g or WiFi,and I'm not even using Greenify or anything similar, so the battery life is generally pretty decent.

Check the partial wakelocks screen. You should be able to locate the app that's causing the problem there. Also, I've read somewhere that cleaning the cache (either through Storage Settings or recovery) helps.

[FIXED]
The problem was related to the motherboard. With the new one everything works properly.
Hi,
I have seen a battery drain for a one week. I can't stand with it. The battery drains very fast - especially at night because I got over 30% battery lose with everything turned off! I tried to wipe cache and factory reset but these ways didn't work. I dunno what's going on but it makes me sick. I think that the phone doesn't go into the deep sleep, because "Android System" takes a first place when it comes to the battery usage. Actually the battery is quite new (97,5% real capacity) so I guess that's a problem with system. I don't want to root my phone because of the knox privileges.
I attached a screenshot which shows a night usage of the battery (when I unplugged - battery percentage was 75%).
Any solutions?
What I tried:
- turn off Wi-Fi scanning
- turn off Bixby
- battery saving mode
- wiping cache
- factory reset (but I've used a backup - if that matters)
Didn't work.. So please, help me
i have exactly same problem for about two weeks. Android system is the first place in battery usage, even before screen, if i dont use phone too much. On samsung community there more people with this problem.
Maybe problem is polish version? Też jestem z polski, jedynie problem mam na modelu z plusem. Jeśli znajdziesz rozwiązanie napisz je proszę (if you find the solution please write it here)
Try not to use a backup, just for a dat or so.
Do you use OPV CSC? Or XEO? Which security patch? My is september. I unfortunately use OPV (Orange) and maybe that's the problem. Can you o provide a link to the Samsung community discussion?
I did a totally clear factory reset yesterday and it still doesn't work. ?
My sot is around 2h...
Same issue with me also.. stand by time is around 8-9 hrs only..
Not sure what happened.. service center ppl asked me to change the battery only..
Turn off GPS and your battery will last forever. On my S8 plus I only turn on GPS when really needed.
I have exactly same problem in s8+. Android system draining my battery for about 2 weeks. SOT in 2-3h.

Your phone isn't entering in to deepsleep
I would say it isn't an OS fault, but it is an app that you are installed that is doing it.
I'm positive even that this is the issue.
Now, do you have root to use a Wakelock monitor?
No,I have not Root,I will install and try to figure out the app guilty for this thx ,this answer help us

DRM = Another App is accessing it or Persist Partition is fuzzy.
I think it's another App who access it, usually Video Streaming Apps

Youtube and Google apps are notorious to drain the battery.
Try to uninstall it and see if it fix.

Uninstalled by adb windows tool. testing if the issue persist. I will return here to report the result. Thanks!
Found that browser (just kiwi deskrop shortcut) version of the app is both faster, less drainy and does not show you that many ads also can flip to desktop mode to access creator studio functions

Sadly it happened again yesterday, was 10:30am, touched the phone for taht reason, check the temperature... and was warm, unlock, and the two big cores was stuck at 2208mhz again... battery at 30%, was at 65% two hours before. Again the android.hardware.drm...
I dont have any video player installed, nothing new installed. I hope that android 10 fix this issue, but i doubt..

I guess playstore os Chrome is doing it.
DRM isn't something from Android but an app that access it
Do you watch google play videos?
Perhaps you can try to set back the theme to the original theme. I have done mine and the draining stopped. If I use any custom theme, suddenly the phone will get hot and then drain battery like hell.
I've reverted to original theme and so far there's no issue apart from sometimes the phone suddenly hang and have to do a reboot.
