Continuous input with the S-Pen - Galaxy Note II General

Hi all,
The firmware of my N7105 supports continuous input a la Swype, works nicely even with the pen!
Results may vary. On the Keyboard settings disable Pen Detection, enable Continuous Input and One-Hand Operation (if you prefer).
Of course it also works well without a pen.

Hi there

I was wondering if there is an app like VNC (using wifi) that will work as a gaming pad or keyboard. I know it sounds silly but i play racing games with friends and we have to change seats if front of the computer. If the phone worked as keyboard via wifi it would be great (all u really need is up down right left and space bar for handbreak). Obviously it must support multi touch. I think this is a good idea for developers as it might be a very usefull. Btw sgs2 is amazing
Try remote droid, you need the app from the market, the server from there website to be running on your computer and to be connected to the same network aka via wifi.
Works well for me, trackpad plus keyboard!

This is what i was looking for but theres no arrows (like on the keyboard) and multi touch doesnt seem to work any ideas?
It uses the keyboard you have installed, so install one that has arrow keys.
Multitouch works for me, two fingers scrolls for example.

[Q] Hover on Flash?

Is there a way to do real-time hover for Adobe Flash? I play online/offline games that use mouse hover, but haven't found a way to do that on my A500. Is ther an app, or some way for an actual mouse to be able to? I can use a mouse just great on my tablet, but it doesn't do hover either.
Thanks,
TechPlease

No. This is a usability issue for those who develop flash for touchscreen devices. Since there is no 'hover' capabilities for touchscreens, only 'on press'.

Google Handwrite allowsyou to write what you want to search

Google started as a search engine, and todaytheir main priority and focusis still that. Today, it’s known as the father of all the search engines, and Google planned to take their mobilesearch experienceto nextlevel. Introducing Google Handwrite, which allow theuser to search by writing letters with your finger most anywhere on your device display. Like if you don’t wantto type because you just hate it, or you aresomewhere in a crowded street corner, or stuck in a box, then this is your way out for an accurate search. Have a lookon the video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uyeJXKfAcpc
It’s funnywhen you are on a treadmill and searching for cupcakes, ironic right? Thefeatureisavailable for Android 2.3+ phones and Android 4.0+ tablets, and to activatethis feature, go to Google.com in your mobilebrowser, tap on Settingsand enable “Handwrite” and you aregood to go. Anyway, it’s an amazing addition byGoogle and I am sure people will appreciateit. Tell me what do you thinkabout this feature?

I tried it on my note browser and it is working cool.. I am loving this feature.
If I want to hand-write I usually use Sammy's keyboard and switch to handwrite mode. That way I use it everywhere I want to. I could even use it in Google's search
Thanks. It works in Classic V2 rom too.

The google handwriting feature works great on my Galaxy note stock browser.. just great..
I have begin to use the spen more now along with the LectureNotes app..
is it an app , then pls share the .apk , if its a setting pls elaborate how to enable it
This is just feature inside stock browser
open google search page
select 'setting' near bottom of page
and select 'Enable' in Handwrite
After Enabling It Click on the G button appears on the right bottom corner as shown in video and start typing
Guys it works with Chrome browser as well. Tried firefox, but therr is no option.
What u need to do is
open Google.com
Scroll down and click on Settings ( dont click on your phone menu key).
Under "Handwriting" select enable
Thats it, pretty smart recognition engine compare to samsung keyboard.

[Q] Note taking with Logitech Bluetooth Keyboard

I, apparently like many of you, have purchased the logitech android keyboard and I couldn't be more than pleased with the functionality. However there are a few things that it seems it is capable of that I have yet to figure out how to work.
Under language and input on physical keyboard settings I see the option to enable auto replace, auto capitalization, and auto punctuate. However I have not been able to see this actually function. Any feedback on anyone successfully using this would be great!
Also, what note taking apps have you guys been using? Anyone know of any that will make use of ctrl B, ctrl U, and ctrl I? What about bullet points, very few apps I've noticed have this feature. Any recommendations would help!

Jellybean keyboard input issues

Sorry for posting here but it is only place I can as it's my first post.
So I've turned to XDA as I thought I would bring my TF101 into teh world of JellyBean.
Following the excellent guides on here I easily rooted and flashed the thing with Team EOS Jellybean ROM.
Went like a dream and a big thank you to the people who have invested so much time and effort.
I have a strange issue though:
Type in the address bar of the browser or in a Tapatalk post the keyboard pops up
Type one letter and it minimises.
I touch to type again and it appears
I can only type a few letters (sometimes only one) before it minimises again
this continues ..
The keyboard is basically unusable. Anyone had a similar issue?
Sounds like you are using the TeamEOS 4 ROM.
From TimDuru's page is notes:
- Default AOSP Soft keyboard crashing if using auto-suggestion
=> workaround: Go to the keyboard settings and change to Auto-correction off + Show correction suggestions:always hide.
You can also fallback to gapps 20121229 (no swipe feature with that version though)
See here for more issues and workarounds: http://public.timduru.org/Android/tf101/eos4/

I use Thumb Keyboard on my 10" tablets, and Swift Key on my Nexus 7 and phone. I hate the stock keyboard anyway.

I have same kind of problem but with Opera mobile browser. Text input in address bar works fine but input for any other input boxes in websites is pain in the ass. I manage to write one or two letter for example in login screen when keyboard vanished. That is strange since Opera uses its own keyboard layout.

OK I got this sorted out. Fistly Opera uses Android keyboard. I installed from google play Jelly bean keyboard (VLLWP) and it works fine.
