Hello all...
I picked up a Nook Color this evening and followed these steps to get CM 7.0.3 on it...

Everything android-wise is working great. I even have the kindle app and google book app running, but to my dismay, the Nook app won't work properly...
If I go into LIBRARY and download any of the 9 books in there...it will error out...if I search for books that my girlfriend can search for using her nook color on the out-of-the-box software my nook can't find it, but hers can...
I see people with thunderbolts complaining in the comments in market that it won't work on their phone, but I'm hoping there is some way to get this working on the Nook Color running CM 7.0.3.
Thanks!
Maybe this will help:

Please let us know. I need the Nook App working if I decide to go CM7.
These are the instructions linked to in that thread:

I'm not sure if running off the SD card makes a difference, but I'm running CM7 7.0.3 off SD card and just bought and downloaded a couple of books last night in the Nook app without a problem.
Are the partitions managed differently when running CM7 from EMMC vs SD card? Sounds like the app is having problems placing the (downloaded) file..
I am trying to download gameloft games but i am having trouble. I copy the link that is sent to my phone and it starts downloading on my nook color....but when it goes to install it says that it failed. I want to know how to fix this....i am running my nook color on deeper blues latest version of honeycomb from my sd card
I'm wondering if it's possible to install CM7 to Nook Color firmware 1.3.0. If so, how would I go about it? I rooted my NC in the past with the Autonooter, but I un-rooted it for the 1.1 update because I expected it to have plenty of good apps. It's like Apple's app store, only without the good apps.
If possible, I would like to dual-boot. I have subscriptions to Consumer Reports and PC Mag. I have an 8gb sd card.
You can install CM7 to your NOOKcolor regardless of their firmware version, 1.0, 1.1, or 12.0 or 13.0.
Hi all,
I bricked a Nook Glowlight trying to restore a half baked backup, and now I think I need partitioning information from someone with a healthy Nook Simple Touch with Glowlight.
Details here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1805936
Anyone willing to share?
Thanks in advance,
Hi. I'm trying to fix a nephew's bricked Nook Color.
1. The device shows no obvious signs of damage.
2. I don't know what my nephew was last doing with the device before it bricked.
3. I have rooted phones and tablets of various manufacturers since Froyo. Not a nube.
4. I have used SDFormatter & Win32DiskImager to prep various sized and classed SD cards, but the Nook never reads from the Card.
5. The device will successfully factory reset, but that doesn't fix the boot issue.
6. LeapinLar seems to have the best tutorials. I just need to find a way in to restore what I believe to be a corrupted factory ROM. I'm hoping there is not an actual SD Card hardware issue.
7. Here are just some of the tutorials I have followed with no success:

Well, the first thing to determine is whether you really have a nook color. It might be a nook tablet. If it is a tablet the color SDs will not boot. You can tell by the color of the bezel. The nook color has a black bezel and the nook tablet has a silver bezel. You can also look for the model number on the back.

Mud in my face
Well, I can't believe I missed that. I have a nook.
I'm sorry for wasting the post. I will start by trying a Nook Rom instead of Color Rom. It's a bit embarrassing how much time I spent in the Nook Color forums and missed that little obvious piece.
Thanks again for you help and quick response!:good:
