Hello, I am trying to repartition with HD2 NAND toolkit, and I keep getting this error.
USB init failed
Info: .\RSPL\RSPL.cpp (736).
I already tried searching but I did not find anything that can fix it.
My current computer is 64 bit Windows 7, and it gives me that error.
I just also tried it on a 32 bit Windows XP computer, it won't get past "Waiting for USB connection"
Can someone please help? I can't proceed.
Can someone help
try to update your drivers, they might be corrupted, try some of the links below it might help.

UPDATE:4/3/09
My phone has been root access and everything else from JF now that my pc is reformatted when I plug it in I get this
Once I Click mount in my phone this happens
I have tried the drivers in the SDK and the ones in android_usb_drivers.zip Or what ever it is called...what else shell I try?
I have windows vista home premium 32 bit
So Anyone? Still Not Fixed.
last bump, Anyone?
Did you get the Win USB drivers from the latest SDK? That might be worth a try. (http://developer.android.com/sdk/1.1_r1/index.html)
I had a similar problem when I was updating my ADP1 to firmware 1.1 and this was the fix.
I can't tell by looking at your screenshot but are you using 64bit vista? if so you need different drivers you can google them that's how I found them.
Update: Check First Post
Also ex-MN Did not work
JoshHart its x86 not x64
The android_usb_driver package is for interfacing with the device serially for fastboot or adb. USB Mass Storage should work irrespective of whether that is installed. When you press mount on the phone and get the USB Mass Storage entry with the /!\ warning icon, right click on it and check out the properties. Under device status, there should be some info that can help you debug the problem.
This device cannot start. (Code 10)
Click 'Check for solutions' to send data about this device to Microsoft and to see if there is a solution available.
SO anyone? I also tried to do fastboot and says the ADP Interface which expands into HTC dream in device manager also gets same error. you guys think its my phone?
OMG sorry everyone I found out what was wrong my bad!
Morning....I have HTC HD2, Flashed with current 1.11 MAGDLR and Radio 2.15. I have Flashed NexusHD2-Froyo_V1.9a_NAND and would like to update to current NexusHD2 build. However, when the bootloader is entered into, and Flasher is selected, phone will see USB, but when hooked to PC and DAF is selected to Run in Admin, I get a Error mess, that the computer is not seeing the USB and connecting.
Now seeing that I am VERY new at this.....I don't understand too much about Task 29 or things like that I have read about as far as a fix for the Error. But I cannot seem to find anyone that can tell me how to either fix the issue, or a solution around the problem so that I can either load another ROM or load the update.
I guess I should also add that my phone is running Android from the root side of the phone and not a dual boot with Windows still intact. I think that was important to add somewhere I read.
THanks for any help anyone can give me......

I had the same problem, when you open the file and it should be daf.exe file or install.exe file, you have to extract that file the a new folder on your computer and then open it from within the folder with right click and use as administrator!!!! worked for me..let me know...
This doesn't belong in the NAND development forum!
Not able to make a usb connection to the phone when in Magldr
Error Description: USB init failed
Info: .\RSPL\RSPL.cpp (723)
Go to the Activesync icon in the bottom right corner, right click on it and untick the option "Allow usb connections" and then connect the device again. Run daf.exe (or install.exe) as administrator by right clicking on it and selecting the option (if using Windows7 or Vista). Hopefully the usb drivers will then install and the Android Rom will flash.
Another option could be to uninstall and reinstall Activesync or to try different usb ports on your pc. If that doesnt work and you have Windows XP then you need to try on a machine with Vista or Windows 7.
If none of this works then try taking out your micro SD Card and repeating the process or flash a Custom Rom before you flash Magldr rather than a Stock Rom.
Lastly you could try starting the NAND installer with the phone unplugged and then plugged the phone in. The installer should immediately detect your device and proceed to flash.

Hey ....
I've got this doubt may be its something so stupid, but I just can't find out how to update my HTC HD2 WP7 from old build to NoDo new one....
I've tried by turning off the phone, then turning on volume down key and power button pressing, selecting USB Flasher in Magldr 1.13 and then executing the ROM in the computer but appears like not connection between phone and computer so there is my problem, so what should I do ??? I dont want to screw up my phone trying another variants that's why I prefer asking...... and If the threat is opened already thanks for give me the link =) because I didn't find one ..
thanks....
The best thing to do would be to task 29 your phone first, then flash MAGLDR, then the ROM. Keep in mind that you will lose all of your data as there isn't a way to backup/restore your WP7 settings (they are working on it i believe). Also, when selecting USB flasher you should wait until it says " USB connected....USB" and then flash the ROM. Lastly, if you're using Windows 7 make sure you run the launcher as administrator.
Can I flash my Rom JUST by using MAGLDR1.13 option 5, USB flasher USB connected....USB and then launching the new rom in Win7 administrator ??? That is the thing when im trying this way appears : An error has occurred
Read below for more information
Error Description: USB init failed
Info: .\RSPL\RSPL.cpp (1198)
soo that's why I don't know what's happening ...

Sent from my HTC HD2 using XDA App
I've got an HTC HD2. Want to do a NAND install of Android Gingerbread.
First things first....I've installed HSPL...2.08. No problem.
Next, trying to install custom radio. Keep getting error 266. Does anyone have a fix for this? Bootloader shows a USB connection at the bottom of the screen...so it must be communicating with the computer.
Been working on this for three weeks. About to give up. Any help is MOST appreciated.
Make sure to run as admin and disable any anti-virus
I've done both...running as admin and no antivirus. Ugh. Very frustrating.
Try another computer
I've tried two different computers. Both running Windows 7. Maybe I would have better luck using XP.
What is the radio version? Make sure you are flashing the right radio if not you could brick the device
It's 2.15.50.14.
make sure the computer detects the phone properly under Device Manager - see if there are any exclamation marks.
if there aren't any, you could also give the MicroSD method a try; http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=609477
p.s. if the phone is still on WM, try WMDC on Windows 7 to get the computer to detect the phone first.

Please uncheck USB connection at the ActiveSync connection setting.
Go to services and see if windows mobile connectivity services are started or not. If not Enable them and try again
Hi,
I repost here because I don't know if my precedent post is visible.
Does someone has managed to operate HD2Toolkit under wine? I have an error on the repartition: info:. \ RSPL \ rspl.cpp (736)
(same error on VirtualBox)
Thanks
I didn't even know Wine can run USB devices, so maybe your problem is caused by that
OK and with VirtualBox, is there any chance ?
Thanks
Did you right click and "run as administrator"?
Yes, but I think it's a driver problem.
On Magldr (usb flasher menu), my HD2 is recongnized as Windows Mobile.
If I try to install android drivers, Windows tell me that the driver is not for my phone.
It is starting to get urgent because I need my cell.
Thanks
which drivers are you trying to install?
There is mention in the hd2 toolkit thread of having to install drivers posted by T-macgnolia, do you mean these?
Also I found this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=895655 not sure if it helps, since probably already included in toolbox, but worth a try.
Do you definitely need the toolkit? What are you needing to do?
Edit; sorry for all these questions
I try with the driver which can be download from HD2Toolkit.
I try to reinstall my HD2 with android rom.
I did that a lot of time (with HD2Nexus, Paranoid or SlimKat), but with one Windows PC (that I have not).
Now I have just one Pc with Fedora.
What I do not understand is that I did not have much problem to wipe and install MAGLDR
Sorry for late reply, not sure what to suggest. My laptop seems to be too old to run Linux lately, and I have never used wine because i dual-booted before.
