Hi,
this month, I will get my N7. Does anybody know, if there is a MicroUSB Stick? I mean, exsists a USB-Stick, which is compatible with the Micro-USB Port, without adapter?

You can root your nexus, and download this app called stick mount. You will need to buy a otg cable which costs about $3 USD shipping included. Then you can mount any USB stick.

I've heard, that there is a way, which don't needs root. With the app "Nexus Media Importer" it should work. A have allready an OTA-Cable.

Be advised though, Nexus Media Importer is import only. You can't move files from the Nexus to the USB stick with it.

Ok, I will check out, if I own the Tablet. At the moment, I don't know, if I want to root, or not. But, an Androiddevice without root is like an iOS-device I think, I will root.

Seen a post by bwcorvus in a Xoom rooting thread saying that he was charging his phone with his rooted Xoom, having the thunderbolt I was intrigued and wanted to test on my non-rooted Xoom. Not seeing this anyplace else I thought I would spread the word.
I bought a USB 2.0 female to Micro b Male Adapter from ebay for $2.99 and received it today; it worked like a charm!
If your like me and you have the thunderbolt and carry your Xoom around with you too, you now do not have to be too worried about using it because it may die.
Hope this is helpful.
Haha!!! I did the same with my iPhone I noticed that when I tried to access my music from the iPhone on the Xoom but all it did was charge the iPhone instead. Can be very useful I suppose!
That's awesome. I just need to find a mini usb to mini usb cable then. If they even make them.
Thats pretty sweet
You want micro to micro not mini... mini won't fit.

LOL whats so "ah ha" about this? USB has voltage at its port. phones that charge via usb can take advantage of this.

A liitle off topic
Anyone trying charging the xoom with the micro usb port yet? Even though Motorola already said no.

just wondering, what's the exact name of the cable?
Can't find it on ebay... micro to micro usb cable isn't specific enough or something...

this is phenomenal.....i use my phone to tether to my xoom a lot, and this is amazing news.
ohh an adapter. I see... will buy it then.
Thought you found a micro-usb to micro-usb cable.
How can I change the location to check for updates? Right now when i do it asks which country I am in and list countries like United Kingdom, Germany and others,,,,how do i change that? Is my tab the 10v.1???? or the 10.1? I bought it off of ebay and have no idea
does your device have androids on the back? If yes, then you have a 10.1, otherwise it's a 10.1v.
yes it does have the little android, thank you!

Only one?
The 10.1 currently on eBay has a white back plate and it's covered with androids.
If you have black back plate with a round Samsung logo, then you have a 10.1v
Oh no those little suckers are all over the back cover question when i plug in my xoom via the usb the drive of the xoom pops up to transfer files when i plug in this galaxy tab i get nothing but i can adb push files is that right?

Sorry, i probably can't help you with that. Only thing that comes to mind, do you have USB Debugging on? I think i did read somewhere that if you have USB Debugging on then there are problems with accessing GT10.1 as a disk drive.
Do you think the Nexus would be compatible with this: http://www.prepaymania.co.uk/bundle...5_1352951281_943abe706d6d6b649f154f0e4db00ac9
Usually it requires powercubes, but because the Nexus is Qi compatible, does this mean we can use it without.
I believe not. Last time I checked Powermat have not made any QI compatible chargers.

As discussed in many Nexus 4 Accessories threads the Nokia one sometimes works but not always, the LG WCP-[something] does work and is on amazon, the Oregon Scientific time and charger works and as stated above the Energizer Qi mats work.
Take a look thru these threads.

I've to buy a gift from my sisters bf, he has a nexus 4 and wanted to connect it up to the TV (so they can watch movies/tv shows)...basically like a WD Live box. Anyway, after reading some posts today I'm a little confused at which method is best? Cable or gadget?
Just whatever provides him with the best experience when watching movies etc. I know the N4 doesnt support MHL, is there a way round this/what do you guys do for charging when connecting it up to the tv?
Also, I seen people talk about NETGEAR Push2TV, but from what I read there is a delay? (not good for movies/tv?)
Thanks in advance, I dont have the phone to test...so thought this would be the best place to ask
I have the Netgear Push2TV and there is a delay. Very small though. Movies are great on it but I wouldn't recommend it for gaming.
You could always buy him a Slimport adapter on amazon. Same concept as the Push2TV, just, its not wireless. But it has no delay and allows it to be charged simultaneously. Just like MHL.

Thats awesome, thanks for replying speedygonzo (you live up to your name lol). I do like the idea of a wireless connection, but maybe the cable would provide a better experience?
Just to confirm, is it the slimport:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Slimport-HDMI-adapter-Connect-projector/dp/B009UZBLSG
or is there something else?
Cheers again guys,
