Is it possible to make statusbar dissapear while expanding like jelly bean?
Sent from my GT-S5360 using xda app-developers app
There's an API difference of about 6 levels between jelly bean and gingerbread. But maybe, there is a way.
Sent from my GT-S5360 using xda premium
i think latest cyanmobile by squadzone, have almost identical layout with jellybean
Edit::
Ooppss.. mis understanding your statement..
I am currently also looking for that things on ics. Still no hopes.
Sent from my amazing GT-S5570
it is possible, however, not completely.
if you change background of date (where the date is normally displayed) in statusbar.xml to have the same color or background as the statusbar itself, and change wrap_content to fill_parent then the statusbar icons dissapear when you drag down.

Currently running cyanogenmod on my 7.7, I would prefer the 'phone' interface with the pull down notification bar, is there any way that I can enable this?
Thanks

I think this requires a dpi change . I'm not sure, but I'd be interested in trying this out. It'd work kinda like the Nexus 7.

Set swipe-down gesture (on any decent launcher) to "open notification".
Yeah, swipe down notification like a phone, but i wanna it workable on landscape too

I don't understand why anyone likes the pull down bar, to me the most natural place is at the bottom of the screen where my thumbs rest. It's hassle to have to move to the top of the screen. What advantages is it to have the bar at the top?

New ui to test ^^ anyway we got 7.7 nexus rom ^^

I have a nexus 7 and maybe i'm the only one, but I personally like ics better on the 7.7
Sent from my GT-P6800 using xda premium

Try to check out this post for JB ROM with NEXUS 7 interface,

The term pull up bar was already taken. And no one likes pull up bars
You can change it with modifying the build.prop file and change the settings for:
ro.sf.lcd_density=160
I think if you set it to 240 it will run in so called "phablet" mode and you have the Pull down bar.
I tried it, but almost broke my installation, as the screen stayed totally black after a reboot.
So i stopped fiddling with this option.
So I'm running a cm10.1 nightly and they seem to have changed the transition animation going from an app to the home screen from the jelly bean one to some other weird animation where it flies out then into the home screen and its really bothering me. Any way to change this other than another launcher?
Sent from my Nexus 4
system > launcher > drawer > transition effect
I was referring to when you're actually in an app and hit home, the transition to the home screen is not the jelly bean one.
Sent from my Nexus 4
Yea your right it has changed, but I like it
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda premium
I quite like it actually. I'm not sure where you can change it though, if possible. Sorry for not being able to help.
Sent from my Nexus 4, powered by CyanogenMod via XDA Developers app.
Fixed it, enabling the wallpaper hack in trebuchet enables this animation. Turning the hack off makes it behave like it should.

I was wondering if there was a way using cyanogenmod that was cNt have the full status bar at the bottom of the screen like larger tablets?
Sent from my LT26i using xda app-developers app
So you want full tablet ui or just modify the status bar font/size?
There is a true tabletui mod in the dev section.

Enhanced 'Quiet Hours' #6
App-Ops: Ability to manage Network Access (Wi-Fi, Mobile Data) #3
Features, unlikely to be included (PA's Goals to stay near to Stock, Google CTS)
Multi-Window/Multi-Tasking #25
Auto kill on exit #26
Thank you +ParanoidAndroid** for your hard work
(** Links to Google+ removed due to Restrictions)
I can tell you one of those things is being worked on
I'd love App privacy to also manage network access :fingers-crossed:

App privacy is currently available by exposing Google's App Opps implementation.
We'll see if they release it themselves for 4.4
I'd like improved quiet hours: the ability to silence phone calls, set different times for weekends/weekdays, quiet hrs qs toggle and for important contacts/ two calls in a set time period to ring the phone loudly. Also I'd like the ability to have 4 qs toggles in a row. Other then that thanks so much for this wonderful rom and keep up the amazing work
I think per app auto rotation control will be a good addition to the hybrid engine.

It is under consideration, Hybrid 3 has been written to be easily extend. I think its a great feature and would use myself, however an app can override the system settings and this covers most use cases: video, e readers etc
I have seen CM has fixed the problem where going into Recent Apps sometimes shows you a minimizing animation of previously opened app, although the app isn't in app switcher.
Even the stock Android has that problem. I'd like to have that fix in PA also.

Yes I agree. Does anyone know why PA uses these instead of the stock ones? Seems odd considering that PA strongly supports the android design guidelines and keeping things as close to stock as possible.

They were changed to work with PAC (per app color). The stock ones are opaque and the color feature looks nasty on them. The new ones are more transparent to work better with PAC. But yeah, I agree. They don't look the same. I'm sure with all the kk leaked images showing white icons, there gonna have a nice chance to remake them

Any under the hood performance enhancements forked from Linux?
Sent from my HTC Sensation using xda app-developers app
My feature requests:
-Use Volume keys to move cursor r/l as in CM
-Battery charging light as in CM-
-In PA 3.99 or in PA 3+ generally, the QS Tiles are smaller or a part of the very top Quicksettings-Tiles-row is missing. That looks very strange! Please fix it so that it looks like in "original" Android so that you can see 4 rows of QS-Tiles when you switch to them, and not also the upper part of the Tiles in the fifth row!
Then I'd use this ROM as my daily ROM instead of CyanogenMod as HALO and the Hybrid Engine is so great!

Just a workaround-> use Nova launcher and get a nova actions widget.
Easy peasy

HI, I'm scissors_cut_paper. I have recently taken a disliking to sacrificing my home screen real estate for a dock. I am currently using slimkat, which has the ability to assign a long press function and custom icon to navbar buttons. To that end, I have created some dual use navbar icons, based on stock kitkat, but representing both functions of the navbar key. Now i'm no themer, but paint.net is pretty easy to use. If anyone has good ideas or request I may entertain them, though I would recommend having a play yourself.
To set these keys/icons in slimkat use settings/navigation/navigation bar/buttons.
The current icons I have made are-
Notification pulldown/longpress Quicksettings (Never reach for the top of your screen again)
Back/longpress kill app
Home/longpress application draw
Recents/longpress menu
Filemanager/longpress ?
Download - https://www.dropbox.com/sh/v9sz5sco0bdrue0/f_9QvTcLcT
All credits to slim for implementing the functionality, all i did was make some buttons.
Video of implementing (not everyone will need this, took me a while to figure it out though) http://youtu.be/ist7kSStb9k
Video in use - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wv88dWqbkcQ
want to share your wallpaper pl0x?
No problem

any videos on you using it? Im interested...
YouTube link added in OP. Can do a quick video of how to implement (in slimkat, anyway) if anyone needs? Also did some cleanup, changed file explorer icon to better match stock theme.

Still trying to figure out what I want to do with my ring.I've got shortcuts set up in the QS, combined with the pulldown button in navbar means they appear right above where your finger already is.
