how can i replace touchwiz30 with launcher 7?
Sent from my GT-S5360 using xda app-developers app
First push the launcher 7 to /system/app using root explorer. Then delete twlauncher from the same folder. Reboot.
I believe this question has been asked many times. When you open the Galaxy Y Q & A forum, read the thread on top! First search, then post!
you can just install launcher 7 and set as default,
you wont use the TWlauncher anymore
i pushed it
keep getting on fc's? i set the permissions rwrr ? but still the same

Can you provide a link of that launcher? It's CM9 stock launcher, for me it is the most smooth in ICS.

Where do you find apps you have download? I want to move some to my system apps but can't find download ones. I'm on glazed ROM 2.1 and can't find the folder using root browser. Any help would be great.
If you've downloaded them from a third party site then they'll appears in "Download" folder.
If you've downloaded them from the Play Store then they'll be in /Android/data

There from play store and there not under data in android folder. I never have had a problem finding them until I went to glazed ROM

Found it was in the data/ app folder

/Android/data is for app's "data", i.e. settings and whatever else the app saves.
Yeah, all installed apps (no matter from where they originally came) are in /data/app.
System apps are in (big surprise :cyclops: ) /system/app
Just saying.
Hello,
I installed Go launcher in my rooted galaxy Y pro duos... I'm on stock rom...
Then through link2sd I uninstalled the stock samsung launcher
Nd converted go launcher to system app thorough link2sd
But there is a problem. When I open task manager there is Go launcher running. So if I tap end all. GO launcher shuts down nd again it takes 2 minutes to reopen
Is there a way so that the Go launcher will run in background just like the samsung stock launcher works?
Any help would be highly appreciated.
Thanks
Regards,
Fahad Hasin
The task manager in samsung's touchwiz ui is a samsung created app that detects every app thats running except for the apps its not programmed to detect.
In short itll detect everyapp except for the apps that are by default installed on ur device
Use a different task manager from market and add Go Launcher to its whitelist...this will create a permission for the launcher in that specific task killer

Try this thread for the note 2, might work, but not sure.

Worked perfect for me....
Install keyboard like normal apk & themes apk files too..
Then copy paste lines given on thread to buildprop. Also put AndroidEmoji.ttf to System/fonts (backup old one), set permission 644. Reboot!!
Beautiful LG G2 Keyboard on Samsung Galaxy S4.

How do i set the permission 644?
I did all the things but still no emoji.
I get the keyboard but can't se the emoji. blank spaces... :silly:
Edit: got root browser and changed the settings to 644. But no Emoji.
Cant see them on the phone but when i send them people can see them.
I have a solution for this. But I can't post it... odd!
My girlfriend's got an unrooted S4. Is there any possibility for her to get a newer LG Keyboard without rooting her device?
Thanks in advance

Sorry mate… don’t think so… you see, you have to get access to the system folder i order to copy and alter the files. But if you figure out a way to do that without root… then good for you mate. Good luck… :good:
Hi All,
I'm looking to remove many of the google apps off my rooted nexus 4. I'm currently running stock KitKat 4.4.2 straight from OTA update.
Many apps such as google drive, google+, hangouts, play games etc I won't be using, yet they are taking up space in my phone.
How can I permanently remove these off my phone? Can it be done? through CWR? through ADB?
If this is not possible, do I need to flash an AOSP custom ROM? I've not opted for this route so far as it's a pain to swap over apps and themes onto a new ROM and I want to experiment with eXposed framework too.
Thanks
If you are rooted just use titanium backup or you can just disable them and they'll disappear from the app drawer

I recommend disabling as removing can coz some minor issues if it breaks rom

Why have you posted this twice at the same time? Root and use titanium or a root explorer to remove system apps, make sure you know what you're doing as removing some system apps can break your rom.

simply delete .apk and .odex in /system/app and /system/priv-app

This. Just make sure to backup everything first, as there can be unintended consequences. Most apps are safe to remove though.
