[Q] Increase volume of default audio files - Galaxy Y GT-S5360 and Duos 6102 Q&A, Help & Troubl

Hi,
Since we know that Galaxy Y has certain sound problems, I decided to get the default audio kit and increase the volume myself.. using camtasia.. with the "Volume up" option.
But I think the volume is too high to be played on Galaxy Y. Or maybe I screwed up with the frequency.. i don't really know.
Is there a way to get a louder (default) audio files for this phone? The sound is really low and sometimes I end up skipping it.
Any software or an app which can increase the initial sound volume? Or at least a software with which I can increase the volume of these files without compromising on the quality?
Here is the sound pack that I downloaded from another forum (
Code:
http://www.mysamsungwave.com/index.php?topic=9179.0
) - I have a feeling that the files might be corrupt to work on my phone (they work properly on pc)
www.techroady.com/Y.rar - this is the entire sound pack in rar file.

You can also use an app called Volume+, which boosts sound a lot, but it wont work with dsp manager and beats

If you still have proplems then try equalizer from the google play
Just like beats but little less quality

Seems to work! Thanks!

You can try equaliser, it's really give you a nice sound experience. But for increasing volume you can try volume+.

[Q] Louder volume hack?

I've been looking around for a louder volume hack for the Legend for a couple of days to no avail. I keep seeing things about DSP Manager but as far I'm aware there's nothing for the Legend specifically. Is there a specific package for the Legend to be installed or can I just flash any old DSP apk and be done with it?
If that's not the case, what can I do to achieve louder volume levels, apart from turning up the volume level?
- Swyped from my rooted HTC Legend -
Search for an app called "Louder Volume Hack" (pun not intended). There are settings in the app that is suppose to reconfigure your phone's volume. Tried it but can't tell the difference honestly. So what I did was I bought PowerAMP and tweak the equalizer settings instead. Of course that only works for music and I'm pretty sure that is what your purpose, innit?

Louder Volume Hack only works on HTC devices released before the Nexus. The Legend was released after the Nexus.

I've used PowerAMP's equaliser before but it can horribly distort the quality of the music playing. I also prefer Winamp to PowerAMP, so I can't use PowerAMP.
I'd just like a hack which I can fakeflash or flash.
I was just about to post another thread now for the same requirement. So i second this thread
To be honest, if I can't find a hack then I wouldn't mind creating my own... Provided someone tells me where to look I would be okay with that.
CyanogenMOD has the DSP stuff built in.
If this is anything like voodoo sound on the sammy devices (I'm not sure) then this kind of thing has to be done at kernel level. I have a feeling that BlaY0's kernel is pretty much the same as CM's, so logic dictates that DSPManager should work. Try installing the apk, see what happens. The setting that has the largest impact is "Dynamic Range Compression". If everything gets very loud when you turn it on, it worked.
I flashed DSP Manager and located the apk inside /system and attempted to install it, but it would not install. I also noticed DSP Manager's odex file sitting underneath it - could that be causing issues? Or something else?

MP3 Player

Morning all
Sooooooooooo , after putting some of my favorite music on my DHD last night, packed my Sony BIN headphones and set off this morning , only to discover the stock MP3 player is rubbish ! , no volume or anything.
Any suggestions which one is best to use ?
Thanks
Steve
My suggestion would be PlayerPro. After trying many, this has everything I ever wanted from a music player.
thank you for the quick response
That one costs money though
Any good free ones ?
DoubleTwist seems to be the best right now.
Tried , and its great thanks .....
Is there anything I can do to increase the volume ?
It seems so low , even at top media volume
Thanks
Steve
Most custom ROMs have volume enhancements on them, but if you don't want to go down that road and are already running a Gingerbread ROM, then try an app called Volume+ from the market. If you're on Froyo, there is DSP Manager but personally I don't recommend it.
DoubleTwist is a rather complete player. Try it out.
I'd suggest Double Twist or this https://market.android.com/details?id=org.abrantix.rockon.rockonnggl&feature=more_from_developer
Lovly ta
Yep, doubletwist is good, no question there. It's just that since I'm kind of a neat freak when it comes to folder structures with my music, I really appreciate the option to browse by folders; something most players seem to lack. I also liked the album wall display of playerpro, but of course as you said its not free.
Bought PlayerPro also. If you listen to music alot, its really worth it^^ Also theres an option that you can skip songs with volume buttons, thats a great feature in some situations.
Thats all great thanks , but the volume is still low , is there anyway I can increase the headphone volume of MP3's ?
Thanks
Steve

If you downloaded it from the Market and it's called 'Volume+' then you have the right one, but it only works on Gingerbread. When you run the app you have the options of applying volume gain to the speaker or headphone output, and you can also change the EQ. There's a Bass Enhancement option too, but I've never known it make any difference.
Give PowerAMP a shot if you want to browse by folder. There's a trial version on the market. Best player I've seen.

Oh ....... the one I downloaded was Volume Plus, not Volume +
I see its £0.99 , I know its not much but I havnt got a card to pay it with at the moment ..
Is there a free version anywhere ?
Thanks all
Steve
There's no free version unfortunately, but £0.99 is more than a fair price to pay for it if you can convince someone to lend you their card
Someone mentioned PowerAMP earlier. That app has an in built equalizer and some of the presets on that make the volume a bit louder, though if you're playing music for a long period of time then this will take a toll on battery life.

In build.prop, that the end of it, pls change "lpa.decode=true" to "#lpa.decode=true". Save it, then reboot.
EQ didnt work with this test version, however i will fix it. You should do "after install" steps before listening to music, either from speaker or headphone.
I just tested Mic and it's vol was normal....
@BlackSoulxxx
I see there is "stereo sound" on features, it means that the earpiece is used to reproduce sound?
What about a version without it? I have had always bugs with stereo sound.
Anyway I see you have ported Xperia X goodies to Lollipop wich is so good, great jod and keep up buddy

Trust me, this mod will not **** up your speaker like other mods. True stereo...
Tested it on my Z1C with stock Android 5.1.1. :
1. Changing any of the sound settings apart from the EQ and the DSEE-HX , results in FC of the sound enhancements app. I know you've mention this in your 1st post, but I'd prefer the mod to work flawlessly without having to do any "tricks".
2. The surround effect (the one with studio, stadium etc options) doesn't work. Changing it has no effect at all.
3. Max volume distorts the sound on the headphones a little bit. I could have lived with that though, if the rest I've mentioned were fixed.
I hope you can do something and make this work flawlessly like in the X. It's really a nice work of you.

Soundenchanment fc because libeffectproxy.so, libsonyprocpostbundle.so n sonyswwrapper.so in lib/soundfx. Because soundenchanment on xperia x is marshmallow n in manifest have ahc n in lollypop soundenchanment doesnt have ahc script. Maybe if soundenchanment fc, u can use original 3 lib in soundfx.
Nice work bro! Anyway, it would be nice if you could make mono version and perhaps universal settings for both headphones and speaker would be great.

Or maybe the dev can do that if he thinks that could be a solution. I don't have his knowledge and skills.?
I just wish he could make it work flawlessly. I mean, all the available settings to work properly. As it is now, there are some of them that you must not touch.
Waiting for some dev magic!????

A new v1.1 will be released.
Changelog:
-Fully working effects and EQ on speaker.
-Fully working effects and EQ on headphone.
-Ported some X libs (thanks @androidexpert35 )
-Next version will probably come with world's first Sony Hi-Res capabilities (true 24bit/96KHz output streaming right to your ears) (depends on actual development, this could be changed anytime) (thanks again androidexpert35, he got it on his Z )

Maybe you increased the values too much? Try 87 or 88.
I'm currently using 87, with some more loudness via Viper. Sound is loud & crisp & clear...
