[Q] mi7ROM_v1.3 and Nokia Counters - Omnia 7 General

Did anyone get Nokia Counters to count data usage on Omnia 7 with mi7ROM_v1.3 OS 8779 NOKIA edition?

Good question! I couldn't get it to work. Anyone else?
Sent from my Lumia 800 using Board Express

Apparently it doesn't work properly on the Omnia 7 yet. SMS and Data are ignored and calls are logged both ways.

Counters are reporting wrong for me, second day of the month I have 40 000 hours of talk. Data usage limit cannot be set to 1,5gb, only round figures. Pretty useless app

Data Counter?

Another question about the Xperia X1a,
Is there a built in data counter? My old Nokia had one and tells me how much data I've used so far and I've looked everywhere maybe there isnt one?
Not sure if there is one, but I use SPB GPRS Monitor, which is really good. Try that if you need one to be intact with your data plan.
Where does one get such an application? Free?

Download the trial and if you want it for free, use your imagination and hit the search button!
I've searched but to no avail, if someone can be nice enough to point me to the right direction it wouldbe much appreciated.
requesting commercial apps for free is not allowed in this forum plz stop....
buy it or request elsewhere in forums for such things
i bought it and i think it's very useful if you don't have an unlimited data plan. better safe than sorry.
Ok I gave up and purchased the program, seems pretty good. Watching HD youtube videos equates to about 5MB per min. Thank god I have 6GB/mth to use.
Ok I bought this SPB Wireless Monitor and have set a custom data tariff. Now I'm wondering if they make a minute counter too but I'm billed by the second and not rounded off to the minute. I'm willing to buy another program that will track my 200 mins that I have per month from 8am-5pm mon-fri but not counting evenings from 5pm and week-ends. Is there such a program?

Got mine yesterday and on whole I love it just can't get HTC Sync to recognise it as I think there is a option missing in USB connections or I just can't figure it out.

i was going to a shop today and came out with a wildfire for 0,13 EUR and my month plain is 80,39 EUR and with it i have 60 hours talk unlimeted sms/mms and unlimeted data with no limit
HTC just released the HTC Sync™for HTC Wildfire. I suppose this will allow you to sync with MS Outlook.
Got my wildfire on 3 a couple of days ago, and so far really impressed with the little beastie I love how everything just works on it, and doesnt need tweaking. With the exception of HTC's website. It doesnt accept my S/N to download the HTC sync for my wildfire and being able to sync with outlook/exchange is critical for me. Anyone else getting this issue?
I have mine for 7 month now
I got one for my son a couple of days ago and he has not put it down since

[Q] Anyone tethering on Virgin Mobile USA?

I'm planning on ditching AT&T when my contract runs out next month, and VM's $25/mo plan for the LG Optimus V is looking pretty good. It's not a deciding factor, but I wondered if anyone's had any luck tethering the NC to the VM Android phones, or seen any other benefits that carry over.
Also, if you have any feedback on VM or the phones in general, I'd love to hear it, including the best way to give their network a spin before I dump $$ into a phone. If I buy a phone that they carry used, is it any hassle getting it activated?
I recently switched, and I'm spending less than half.
Sometimes Target puts the $60 top-up cards on sale for less than face value, which is amazing.
The aosp firmware provided by the ROM Manager only does wifi tethering. Bluetooth and USB isn't available yet.
The LG Optimus V has a Quadrant benchmark score of 500 ootb with the stock Virgin Mobile firmware. The aosp firmware is 800. Overclocking with the Cyanogen panel puts it above 1000, which is top tier.
Great phone, but lacking an ARM 7 CPU for Adobe Flash and Google Earth, and an LED notification blinky.
Good to get some feedback from someone who's put the phone through its paces
To clarify a couple of things, can you share the phone's data connection with the NC over Wi-Fi (assuming you have a NC)? Has VM squawked about it at all, or do they have a way to charge you for it?
Are you finding the aosp/CM7 ROM pretty functional? It looks like some people are having camera issues, and SMS just recently started working.
Also, do those discounted top-up cards just get credited to your account, and your $25/mo comes out of the balance? Did not know you could do that

Autofocus broke after the May 23rd build, so I figure that the aosp firmware will have it fixed sometime soon. I haven't had a problem with SMS.

Yes. The Virgin Mobile top-up cards that are sold retail are credited to your account at face value and not taxed. You can change the draw-down option on your account at the virginmobileusa dot com web site.
Last week, my local Super Target had the $60 cards on sale for $56, and I got an extra 5% discount for using a loyalty card. Local sales tax is 8.25%, so I paid $57.58, which is less than face value. I had an "oh wow" moment at the cashier.
The real cost of Virgin Mobile service is much less than an AT&T contract. The only bad thing about the Virgin Mobile service that I've noticed is that they block call forwarding, which also breaks Google Voice.

D'oh! That's a good heads up, as I was strongly considering a full transition to my GV number, thinking that way I could keep a back-up prepaid on another carrier and have GV route to whichever was turned on. Does it break GV's voicemail, too? Having to call in to retrieve voicemails may be a dealbreaker.
ETA: I wonder if this is a harbinger that GV might come to VM not too far down the road: http://googlevoiceblog.blogspot.com/2011/05/google-voice-and-sprint-integration-is.html
Google voicemail integration is currently broken on Virgin Mobile phones. You'll need to check each voicemail box separately, or use the Google Voice widget instead.
In the last few weeks, Google Apps started returning a "your carrier does not support Google Voice... call them to complain" kind of message instead of a numbered error dialog.
Inbound calling through Google Voice works normally, but outbound calling is through a callback. Sprint recently got full Google Voice support, so support for the Virgin Mobile brand might be coming.

Verizon to Google Voice to Nexus 4 T-Mobile

Hey guys,
I have what seems to be a complicated question (for me anyways). Ive looked up threads on here and can't seem to get a clear cut answer.
So im getting the Nexus 4 with the TMO $30 prepaid plan, heres my dilemma....
I have Verizon and I want to forward my calls and texts to the Nexus 4 without breaking my contract with Verizon, I dont want to port out just yet, want to try it out, but dont want to carry 2 phones all the time.. So what I was thinking was Verizon to Google Voice to T-Mobile. Is this possible? If so how? I cant seem to put 2 and 2 together right now to make it work after reading so many threads.
Thanks in advance
What about just Verizon to T- Mobile ? That seems simpler ...

Grrr... Need to sell this damn iPhone 5 and get back on an Android on my VZ line
How do you feel about that iPhone 5 and how long have you owned it? Does the thing support widgets yet? How much screen on time?
I think you'd have to give out only the Google Voice number for awhile and set it up to ring both phones.

How to remove 100 GB mobile data limit?

Hi guys!
How can I remove the 100 GB mobile data limit in data usage tab on stock but rooted Note 3.
I need to be able to raise it past 100 GB otherwise I get a warning in notifications (annoying).
I tried to Google it but couldn't find anything relevant.
Thanks.
@Hin3K never heard of this before.

I do use quite a lot. 21 GB yesterday for example. That's why I need to fund a way to remove that warning message.

U have to increase the data limit first (max 100gb). Then after that u can increase the warning.

I don't know the answer, but I'm just curious how much do you pay for 100 gigs ?
In my country it would be 100€.

My data usage limit is not ticked.
The warning amount is already set to 100 GB. I need to somehow raise it like I could on custom ROMs on my old Note 1.
I pay £18/month for unlimited data, unlimited texts and 3000 or 5000 minutes (can't remember). One month rolling contract.

Go into settings find the usage bar. Click on it and raise it to 50,000 GB. I just did it to mine.
