Guys, a quicky...
Just got a relatively cheap Tab for Sonos control but it seems like it's a US version.
(Just tried to find the letters after the P7510 but since ICS upgrade it seems to be only "P7510")
My question is, does it matter if it's the UK or US version when flashing/rooting, or if it does then how can I find it again?
Thanks,
F.

My machine is chinese version GT 7.7
It looks like that some people met problems when they flashing other country's firmware on their chinese version 7.7
Does it mean that i can't flash other firmware by now?
Chinese brand
Hi,
I also have the same question.
I am new to android - coming from many years on iPhones.
I just got a 7.7 (From the Taobao Samsung shop here in China, they had a trail version program where 300 people can pay a deposit and then use the tablet for 30 days and return it)
I want to know if the Chinese version is also able to flash to the Hong Kong version as this Chinese version is really a mess - no android market, no google access and a lot of stock Chinese software. (and I think a few monitoring things a well???)
Anyway - I have read most of the post on the 7.7 and it seems that there are some people who have had a hard time flashing the Chinese version? (It also seems to me like they might just have run into some problems)
As far as I understand, coming from a server admin background, this should be really basic and should be easy to do?? One should be able to flash any countries firmware onto any version?
Please let me know.
PS...I have the 16GB 3G version

Following the recent success with updating my UK model P7500 to ICS using the German official software and Odin, my brother in Canada has asked me if the same sort of thing can be to his P6210 Canada version. It appears that Canada is another Samsung Tab drought area, and he says that his battery life is below expectations. - the saesman in Future Shop told him months ago when he bought it that the upgrade to ICS was only days away - pretty much the same story that I was told in the UK, but as usual Samsung have let us all down.
There is a UK version of the ICS upgrade for the 6210 that was released months ago I believe, so I was wondering if someone out there could tell me if the update is suitable for his unit... The build number of his is HTJ85B P6210XXLB2...
I found Odin a delight to use for the non-technical like me, and he is much the same - so an Odin based update procedure would be ideal.
So...... Which is the best update to use for his machine?
Thanks
This is not the correct section as this is for the original 7" tab the P1000 and variants. You need the Galaxy Tab Plus forum and they should be able to help. Also when posting questions please check if there is a Q&A section before posting in General as if there is they belong there.
Thanks

Are the firmwares for the tablets in subject interchangeable? the NU is the North American version and I'm wondering if I could flash a European version of the T330 to support mode languages. I want to add that sammobile has the firmwares listed under different codes.
Anybody knows if it is possible to flash an LTE firmware on the WIFI version of the same tablet? Thanks

I dont know, but I highly advise not install LTE on WiFi only tab, since there are hardware differences and you most likely will brick your tab

Hi,
do you've already got any further information on this? For I have the same problem: in the US we purchased a tab for my mom, but she isn't doing too well with the english UI (though she already got used to it - it's still android, after all ).
Anyway: there's also a WiFi-Version (SM-T330NZWADBT) of this tablet. Is there anywhere a firmware available for download for this particular model? And: is the firmware interchangeable in this case, as it's wifi-to-wifi straight?

So can I install firmware from sm-t230 on sm-t230NU cause I want Polish language. or it's hidden and hidden languages are achievable with morelocale2?
"Locale More" did the job for me, all it requires is to run one adb command and it works well without root.

only Differences is Software.. Due to laws in the us being Different in different regions of the world They use model numbers to Determine which region the device is for. The link posted above Shows they can Run the SAME Software so should tell THEY ARE The same Hardware wise.
With the above said. It seems the 8013 us version has a newer boot loader...
I bought an SM-T530NU in the US, thinking it would work OK in the UK. The only problem is that it doesn't get Wi-Fi Channels 12 and 13. I asked if there was a solution to this here but didn't get any replies that helped.
I'm wondering if there is a stock Europe ROM I could use?
Note that this is the Galaxy TAB 4 10.1" with Wi-Fi (no 3G) and an IR module.

I gave you my tuppence worth on the Wi-Fi channel question just now, but as for this question. I'm about 95% certain that unfortunately for you, Samsung only officially releases firmware builds for the U.S. (XAR Region: Cellular South) and Canada (XAC Region: Canada) for this tablet model. Now there is a firmware build (analogous to but not the exact same as a stock rom) for the UK region (BTU Region if I remember correctly) for the regular SM-T530, but that one doesn't have the IR module so you'd lose that functionality. That's the deal for firmwares.
As for custom roms, repey6 made a trimmed-down but mostly unaltered stock rom for our model here. However it's based off the U.S. firmware build so I don't think it would offer you the solution you're looking for. If you're feeling particularly brave, Cyanogenmod 11 (designed for SM-T530) is working for our model too, if you want a drastic solution.
Thanks, I've replied in the original thread. I'd like to keep with stock for now.
