Hi!
In my LG E900 I have replaced the circuit with the SIM card reader, and from that moment the wifi and bluetooth stopped working. (wifi/bt module is in that circuit)
When I activated the wifi, the phone can not find network and does the same with the bluetooth.
In MFG Net.Info menu I saw that the mac address is 11:22:33:44:55:66 and IP 0.0.0.0 ....there is some setting / test in MFG menu?
Many thanks!

Hi there,
Yesterday I bought the MDA Vario and all is working fine, except for the Wi-Fi functionality.
At home I am using a WEP ecnrypted, non-DHCP and MAC-filtered wireless connection, which works fine on all computers, laptops and my HP iPAQ.
The Vario seems to be the first having trouble.
After (I think) appropriate configuration, the Vario keeps trying connecting with my network (the moving arrows alongside the antenna icon) until forever.
This is my configuration:
I first checked up my Vario's MAC address (WiFi settings - Advanced tab) and added it in my wireless configuration.
When I setup my Vario for use with my network, it actually finds my accesspoint and asks me to enter the WEP-code.
But, I also need to setup (Network Cards) the Vario's IP, Subnet and DNS addresses in the "Network Adaptors Configuration" screen.
The only thing is, which one should I take for this?
The ones that are available are:
---------------------------------------------
AsyncMac NDISWAN-miniport
PPTP NDISWAN-miniport
External NDIS-host
L2TP NDISWAN-miniport
NE2000 compatible Ethernet driver
Virtual Ethernet Intermediate Miniport
SDIO WLAN Wireless Adapter
---------------------------------------------
At first I thought it would be the last one, but when I configure the adresses in there, there is no connection to be found.

I have to say I didn't let the Vario install the stuff from the Extended Rom, by soft resetting immediately once the "first device setup" was completed.
May I be missing something from the Extended Rom that causes this problem??
Thank you very much.
search around on www.howardforum.com.
you will find info, i came accross this stuff more than once.

Hi,
Thanks for the tip, but I couldn't find anything regarding my problem.
Any more suggestions?
Try going to settings > connections > wireless lan > power mode and setting to best performance.

Tried that.... no result...
Hmm, i had a few problems with my wireless lan at home.
Firstly i couldn't get the device to connect over WEP if i entered the passkey in ASCII - i have to enter the HEX version on my mini-s to get it to work.
As for the IP settings you should use the SDIO WLAN wireless adaptor i "think" but i've tried to set all my options to a different IP and my networks DHCP just takes control anyway so i cant test for sure without disabling my dhcp server (fraid i wont be doing that - dont want to have to manually set everything)
Ok, well... it works now.
I don't know how, but suddenly the "moving arrows" stayed "steady" and there was a connection with my WLAN network. Don't know why it took so long, but okay...
Anyway, I think the WLAN antenna inside the Wizard is not of a too good quality. Comparing to my HP iPAQ hx4700, the Wizard needs noticeable more time to connect with the network and isn't as sensitive as the iPAQ's.
The iPAQ keeps a good and stable connection everywhere in and outside my house, where the Wizard loses it at some spots.
I have a vodafone 1605 and there is something weird happening. When I turn on the Wlan to find my wireless network, the phone find the current network, but the phone can´t connect to the network. The IP showed in the phone ( 169.254.25.138) is not from the range of the IP´s I´ve assumed ( 192.168.0.1 to192.168.0.100 ). How can I make the phone connect to my network ??
i met this problem when i change my wifi wep, i just reset/del old connection profile, and the system ask me to reconfig if it detect new wlan
control panel -> connections -> Network Cards -> Wireless tab
you'll see detected wlan, tap&hold to del its config profile
hope it work for you
Hello,
I'd like to switch the WLAN adapter on and off with my software so that it doesn't consume power while the WLAN is not needed. When I reactivate the WLAN, the software should automatically log in to one specific network.
I'm currently using the OpenNETCF library, but this allows only to switch the WLAN adapter on an off and when it's switched off, even the wireless manager can't activate it until the device is reset.
Can anyone help?
Regards
Thomas
Are you after device specific or device agnostic code?
What device and OS?
V
my universal now is running Tomal's v10 rom, all goes well, but when I'm trying to connect to my wifi lan, it's discovered by my device as available but never connects.
my wifi lan is hidden (this isn't a problem for my other devices), I allow the universal mac tol connect to the land and I've asigned an specific ip direction inside my lan (as on my other devices)
I've configured my universal as my hermes: network name, as a hidden network, authentication wpa_psk, data encryption tkip, network key ok, use ieee 802.1x network access control marked, and eap type smart card or certificate
I don't know what else to do
Please, I would appreciate some help, dudes
Hello everyone,
this is my first post here.
So far I found any info i needed in this forum. And i can tell.. this is not a forum, it's an enciclopedya. So I give you all of my complimentes and thank you so much for the job you all are doing!!
Now I have one question that hope you can answer.
In wi-fi setting, network adapter, I see "IEEE 802.11B/G compatible network adapter".
Is this the same adapter used to connect to my provider HSDPA?
I did manually set IP and Gateway for my phone to connect my home-wireless and after that It stopped connecting to my ISP!
I managed every kind of configuration, I even called my provider to check for black-out of service, and eventually I had to hard-reset and It worked again.
After Hard Reset I set-up my wi-fi IP addresses again and then I realized this broke the connection to my provider.
Hope I was clear and I'm here to ask if my reasoning it's right.
Thank you in advance.
IEEE 802.11B/G == wifi == nothing to do with phone networks
When you turn on your wifi it should automatically find available wifi networks in the vicinity. Should be no need to enter IP & Gateway manually into device. Your wifi will most likely be password protected (if not set this up immediately). When you try and connect your HD it should prompt you for your password. Enter this and then your device should be connected
first, thank you for your answers!
well, the reason i manually set up gateway is because i've got two different devices: 1 as gateway and 1 for routing and access point. i have just solved that problem by setting default gateway in my access point config. now my blackstone connects to wi-fi without setting any parameter.
anyway i still have the idea that previous configuration broke my phonenetwork connection?
what do you think?
